Chapter 309: What he wanted vs what she wanted

Seeing Shera's look of disgust, Mia was not too surprised. She had done so many things to hurt Shera that it would be a surprise if the latter forgave her. Hence, she dragged herself away. 

Rushed footsteps resounded just as Shera made her way towards the staircase. Leo arrived, out of breath from having rushed over. 

"Leo?" 

"Are you okay?" He grabbed her and checked her all over. 

"I was just swatting a few flies. Why wouldn't I be okay?" She held onto him even though she didn't feel as tired as he thought she was. 

He hugged her tightly. "I dealt with the others. Fourteen and Anna have been captured too, and the banquet was not disrupted." 

"Good job." Shera praised him. Now she understood why Mia would be able to beat Fourteen and Anna, who had been accompanied by a bunch of trained men. It was merely because Leo helped her, or else she might have been beaten into a pulp. 

"We have to get out of here." He spoke urgently.
