Chapter 66: His marriage vow

I addressed it in the past, but I couldn't help but think about it again. In my previous life as Vera, I never felt relieved and relaxed after experiencing catharsis through intercourse. I felt a little guilty that Luis knew no one had touched this daunting witch yet.

I wasn't new to it, although this experience felt like it was. I didn't feel the guilt I usually felt before, nor the dryness of my body trying to fill the emptiness in my heart. All I felt while becoming one with my husband was that... it touched something within me. Not in literal terms, but he filled the void in my heart, no one even Joseph couldn't — or didn't dare touch. 

I chuckled, resting in the safety of his embrace. I snapped my eyes when he spoke. 

"You should rest, wife," he muttered, caressing my back under the sheet that was covering us. "Aren't you tired after making love with me all night?"
