Chapter 4: I have a dream.
* Beep Beep Beep Beep
I wake up at 6:00 am with the sound of awakening.
"Good morning darling." I speak to Agata as I wake up.
{Good morning dear ~} I hear Agata's voice in my head.
"What are the plans for today?" I ask Agata as I stretch and yawn.
{You have a plan to finish the gladius and test the innate power to devour.} She responds as I walk to the bathroom.
"Yes, yes, I remember now. I'm just going to brush my teeth and take a shower, finish my sword and then go out and buy a dog to see how it works." after adjusting my thoughts, I go into the bathroom and start basic hygiene.
Leaving after a good shower, I put on some clothes and go to the kitchen. After a breakfast that doesn't taste like anything, I'm going to work on the sword.

Looking at the clock I see that it is already 8:00, the sword has been finished and is resting on the bench now clean of any residue.
Looking at the finished sword, I am happy with the job well done. This sword measures 85 centimeters long, of which 68 centimeters constitutes the blade, and is about 10 centimeters wide.
Testing the sword against the table, I notice that the wood I used is of excellent quality. It has a lot of durability and fits perfectly in my hand. This sword must last long enough until I find a better sword.
"Now that it's done, I'm going to go after a dog." putting it back on the table, I leave the house and go to the pet store.
After thirty minutes of walking I arrive at the store and enter.
"Welcome, how can I help you?" I am received by an attendant.
"Good morning, boy, I would like to see the animals available." I greet the attendant.
He guides me to where the animals are, I can observe different types of dogs and cats.
I have no understanding of cats or dogs. I look at the cheaper ones and choose a dog and a cat.
"Would you like to buy a toy for the animals? We have fake bones with different flavors for the dog and scratchers for the cat." the attendant explains.
"No, no, I already have everything I need at home." I explain to the attendant.
Finishing the purchase, I pick up the animals and go home.
Entering the house, I take the animals to my room and pick up the dog first.
"Honey, how do I use the skill, I just need to think about using it while I touch that dog?" I ask Agata just to confirm.
{That's right, touch it and think about using it.} Agata answers me in a cheerful voice
Focusing on the sensation of my hand touching the dog I speak in my mind 'Devour'.
It is almost instantaneous, I have the sensation of water running through my body, a thread of what I imagine to be mana passes through my arm and out of my hand. I can momentarily notice a black vortex appear in my hand and in the blink of an eye ... The dog disappears.

After reading the first notification of the system, I feel a burning sensation in my airway. I begin to perceive smells that I did not feel before, the smell of the wood in the warehouse, the garbage that is in the kitchen and odors that come from the street, among them, the smell of smoke from cars, cigarettes, perfumes that people outside are using and much more.
Recovering from the momentary disorientation, I see that I have a new statistic.
Without wasting time, I use the skill on the cat. Feeling my mana pass through my body and go to my arm, I see the black vortex appear and disappear with the cat.

I close my eyes and feel a burning sensation in them, much like the one I had moments ago. Opening my eyes I realize that everything is clearer now and my field of vision has increased. Going to the window, I look out, I can see farther, and when I concentrated on my vision, time slowed down at least twice.

"Why was the sense that absorbing the dog so high?" I ask with confusion.

"Thank you my dear." I am grateful for the explanation "now I have to get used to my new improved subject before the shit hits the fan." I speak while rubbing my short beard.
Entering the kitchen, I start to focus on the odors present. After a few seconds I start to recognize the smell of coffee, corn cereal in the cupboard, from the refrigerator I smell meat, fruit and spices. From the room comes the smell of last night's beer, I also smell unknown smells mixed with beer, I believe it is from Shizuka and Rika.
I leave the room and go to the workshop. I walk over to the table containing the sword, taking it to observe with my new vision for any defect or flaw I hadn't seen before. I finish after two minutes, I think I have some uneven areas by a few millimeters in several places, I go to the shelf on the wall and get some tools to correct these defects.
It is almost 11:00 when I finish, looking at it a second time with a watchful eye, I can no longer see any defects, it just exudes perfection in my eyes.

It's night and I'm sitting on the couch watching a cooking show while writing the recipe. I decided to improve this skill for the sake of survival.
/ ... Put the onion in the pan with a little oil, stir well until golden. After browning the onion, put a cup of rice inside the pan, mix until all the rice is bathed in the oil with onion, to finish, put enough water to cover the rice ... /
Turning off the television, I get up and thank this chef. He may not know it but it helped me a lot, I feel like I can do everything he did on the television show. I feel inspired to cook, this is ... THE POWER OF YOUTH!
{Come on dear, show your new power !!} says Agata in a voice of excitement.
With long strides I go to the kitchen. I get everything I need according to the recipe.
Peel the onion and garlic. I focus my improved vision on quickly cutting the onion into cubes and pour it into the pan with olive oil. I watch the onion in the pot like a hawk as I stir. Finishing the browning, I throw the rice and stir until the rice catches all the oil, quickly take the water and put it in the pan. I crush the garlic to put in the pot, close it with the lid and sit on a chair to dry my sweat.
{That was so intense! You look beautiful when you concentrated on cooking this way ~} says Agata in a passionate voice.
"I, Loseram have a dream!" I put my hand on my chest.
{What dream is this dear?} Agata asks me in a curious voice.
"This dream is to be the greatest chef for my wife !!" I scream as I open my arms to make a dramatic effect.
{OOOH !! I, Agata declare you as the future best chef in the entire multiverse !!} she says in a proud voice.
I nod and focus on the pot again.
Finishing the rice, I place the contents of the pan in a glass dish to cool. I make a fried egg and go to dinner.
I take a spoonful of rice with fried egg and eat ... Then I realize ... I forgot the salt.
I finish the food quickly and go to bed. {Don't worry dear, you will make it in the future.} Agata consoles me.
