Chapter 24: New Plans
"I'm back," I announce my arrival and head to the kitchen. I stopped by the market and picked up some supplies on my way back.
I enter the kitchen and see Saeko, Kana and Kyoko eating lunch. The three of them look at me with red faces and go back to eating as if they don't want to talk to me.
{They must be embarrassed. Last night you and the other two women were quite loud in your evening activities.} Agata says with amusement.
'I can't do anything, I sometimes forget that they are staying here. I spend most of my time training outside and when I'm not doing that, I'm enjoying my time with Shizuka.' I walk over to the countertop and leave the bags of supplies on top.
"'There are some supplies here. I'll get Rika and Shizuka to eat too." I warn and walk out of the kitchen receiving a collective nod.
"I will prepare three dishes then." Kana says with a bit of a stutter and gets up to do as promised.
"Thank you." I thank her with a smile and she quickens her pace trying to hide the blush on her face.
I leave the kitchen full of embarrassed women and head for the bedroom. I open the door and am greeted with a smile from the two women on the bed.
"Good morning dear." Shizuka and Rika commit with a smile on her face. The two are still in the same position as I left them, I think they are quite overwhelmed from the night before. I need to improve her physiques to be similar to mine.
"Good morning beautiful sleepers. I hope you had a good night's sleep." I joke a little and approach the bed.
"A good night? Only if I could walk, but I can't deny it, it was a very warm night~" Rika says with a toothy smile on her face.
Shizuka just nods and tries to hide a blush on her face.
"Now I know why Shizuka couldn't walk straight. I wonder if I'm going to have to try to add Kana and Kyoko into this relationship... no, it wouldn't work, I'd die along with Shizuka before that happens." Rika grumbles as she tries to stand up.
"Don't even think about it. I liked you before you got into that relationship with me, I don't even know those two well enough to go down that path either. I'm also not a person who would leave my wife in this current state, this happened because of the race change." I say as I help her sit on the bed.
"Still, I don't want to die because I can't keep up with you in bed." Rika pouts and complains.
I roll my eyes and move to Shizuka "are you okay? Do you need help getting downstairs and eating lunch too?" I ask and help her sit on the bed.
"Huh~ a little sore but I think I can walk if I have a support~" she replies with a smile and swings her legs a little to demonstrate her point.
"Today is my day to walk in his arms, come and get me baby~" Rika jokes and raises her arms a little. I take Rika in my arms and bend down a bit for Shizuka to lean on my shoulder, being that she jumps up and hangs on my neck from behind and crosses her legs around my waist.
"Fufufu~ the darling is my teddy bear~" she says with a silly smile on her face.
"I agree with you, Loseram is a great teddy bear~" Rika teases as she rubs her face against my chest.
"Honestly, you two are no good." I say with a defeated smile at the two's antics and head back to the kitchen.
I get to the kitchen and find Kyoko and Kana talking, Saeko is already outside training by the sounds I hear.
"Help me Kyoko-san!" Rika shouts with a pitiful face to Kyoko "Loseram was really rough last night and I can't move anymore. You and Kana have to come into the room and help me next- Aug! Why did you pinch me?" she breaks her act and asks me with a pout on her face.
"Rika, Loseram did that for you to stop bothering the two single women~" Shizuka jokes in.
"Please don't joke about that." I let out a tired sigh and turn to Kyoko and Kana. Both of them have red faces from embarrassment and sad expressions due to Rika and Shizuka's comments.
"I apologize for these two, don't take it to heart." I apologize and sit Rika down on a chair, I do the same with Shizuka and sit in the middle of the two.
"Don't worry about it. I've known these two for years, I know how they can joke about such things even if they are acting more openly now..." Kyoko dismisses the joke as nothing, but her face still shows embarrassment at the comments.
"I'm the same way, I already know their jokes." Kana speaks giving Shizuka a hard look that makes her wince.
With that the kitchen goes silent for a few minutes, which is how long we spend eating. After I finish feeding Rika and Shizuka, I quickly eat and leave them on the table. It's kind of relaxing to do dishes, all that's missing is a little music and it would be even better.
"Loseram." I hear Kana call my name.
"Yes?" I ask as I turn my face to see what she wants.
"It's just that I... I'd like to ask you something." she speaks a little nervously.
I raise my eyebrow out of curiosity and wait for her to speak.
"I was wondering if you could take me to my parents' house!" she says in a voice full of emotion. I can see that she cares a lot about them "I would go alone but I would die before I arrived..." she finishes with her face showing helplessness.
"And why ask that only now?" I ask out of curiosity. She hasn't said anything since she arrived, so I thought she had no family.
"My parents live on an island with few inhabitants, you would clean Hokkaido but the island my parents live on would be faster," she says as if trying to convince me that the smaller island would be less work for me. That's true but I would throw in a tornado or two and devastate Hokkaido, it wouldn't even be that much work for me.
"What would be the name of the island?"
"Minamidaitojima, it has a little over 1,500 locals." she answers quickly.
I am not a great connoisseur of Japanese geography, so I have no way of knowing what this island is like.
"Tell me more about your Island." I didn't want to give up on playing some tornadoes in Hokkaido but if it really is a good Island, I will make it the shrine I wanted to make in Hokkaido. Also nothing is stopping me from going back and going to Hokkaido Huhuhuhu.
"I was born on that look. It has a great climate, large fields for planting and boats for fishing. The island is east of Okinawa, a little far from our current location but not impossible to make the trip." she was straight to the point, she takes a positive point for being a smart woman.
I turn to Rika and give her a curious look, she must know about this island.
Rika feels my gaze and thinks for a moment.
"Like she said, it shouldn't be hard to go by boat to Minamidaitojima. With supplies, a good boat, map and compass I can get us there." Rika finally states her thoughts.
"That's it then. Let's go to Minamidaitojima." I speak after thinking for a while. Kana gives a relieved smile and Shizuka and Kyoko are happy for their friend. I sigh so much to start the training.... But that's good too, I can get that problem off the agenda.
"What about you Kyoko, do you have anywhere you want to go or are you going along with us to Minamidaitojima?" I wouldn't mind taking a little detour so she can go after her family too.
"I prefer to stay with my friends, I am not very close to my family." she speaks and gets a smile from her friends.
"With everything settled, now we need a map is compass. Does anyone have any idea where to find this?" I ask them and the first to raise her hand is Shizuka.
"Huh~ there must be maps and compasses at the mall, I remember seeing a store that sold those kinds of things at our meeting." she speaks with a cheerful smile.
"Alright then, Rika will make a list and I will be in charge of going to the mall to pick up everything we need for the trip. Kyoko, Kana and Shizuka will talk to Saeko about it and gather the supplies we already have here at the house. We'll leave in two days." I say a basic plan and we get to work. All I wanted was to train Shizuka, now we have a trip to organize.
