Chapter 4: The Talk
-August 10, Year 1909, A dream in a silhouette.-

"Leon...? Here, Leon!"
When he wakes up, he encountered countless people staring at him. Shortly, they turn into silhouettes of images and a blank white space covered the area.
Behind him is a man standing a few inches away from his back. A seemingly imageless entity walking like a supervisor, its face is also unknowingly blank and a little bit taller than him. Moments later, the imageless man, shapeshift into Leon's previous life appearance.
"Such a fine-looking creature, aren't you? Hm... I could say, you're the perfect specimen for the job." The imageless man rubs his chin and thinks wildly. "You see... This world is turning into a timelapse of repetition. And I do already made some adjustments and manipulated a few important notable events."
"Uh... I'm sorry, who are you?"
The imageless man suddenly turns back to his natural appearance and heaves a heavy sigh as he observes Leon.
Leons thinks, 'Is this some sort of a dream?'
"...All of my creation do always forgot who am I, huh?" The imageless man says, "I am the King of Kings, the start of all beginnings. Your creator!"
"God?!"
"Indeed, I am!"
Leon is somewhat confused or either in disbelief of what he is experiencing right now. He looks around and saw everything that you could probably sum up to an endless void of whiteness.
"Why...? Why am I here talking to you?" Leons stammered. "What happens to my real body then?"
"Real body? Are you preferring to your Earth self or the little adorable child?"
Leon is rather disappointed and shakes his head, 'Hey, I'm talking about my newly acclaimed life and not the previous one.'
"...I could say, your quite an interesting fellow. So that's why you are here. Don't be so upset, I do understand what you are pointing out."
'Did he just read my mind or I'm jumping so early to a wrong conclusion? If he does, that's quite uncomfortable, to begin with.' Leon speculated.
"I certainly did. And it's quite a hobby of mine to read people's perspectives. But sometimes I do end up reading more indecent thoughts than normal ones."
"So all in all, you can also talk to a person's dream?"
"...Manipulate time to cease, dream waddling or rather temporary makes an illusion of reality. But in your case is quite special. I could say, you are in my paradise right now."
"Paradise? This endless white void? No offense, I felt like I'm in hell right now."
"You come up with these craziest ideas, aren't you? I do understand your feeling of emptiness in this place. But this place is the beginning of all of my creation, the emptiness of this place clears my mind to think and gave me peace."
Leon beliefs, 'Craziest ideas you say? To be honest, you startup with all of this nonsense creation alone yourself. You can't even manage one planet's population and do adhere to another planet's responsibility to watch over them? Specifically, you have countless of millions of stars, planets, and civilizations to take care of. You just working yourself to death without thinking. Not to mention, you seem alone with all of this work.'
"I'm saying that you are different from the thousands of souls lingering around my creations. Will you not ask about the task I'm giving to you? Don't you want to go back and fulfill your self-desire? Or rather, you want to have the same fate that previous humanity had openly regaled towards you?"
"I didn't mean to... I... Just... It was just a saying on my thoughts." Leon is in discomfort. His past life back then was different and the way they used him was so awful because he had such an idea that separates him from the rest. "...Hey! That's unfair! Don't mind reading my thoughts, you're insulting my privacy."
"I presume this as, the result of a bond with my creation."
He theorized that the person in front of him was absolutely the entity called "God." But actually, in doubt and thinking, such an entity like him unrealistically exists. It had already been divided into many implications and disbeliefs, that the entity could be real or the devil itself.
Who knows?
It might be interesting as compared to solving a puzzle or completing a deranged maze, but in reality, we don't know exactly what is real or not. Either way, we can be a fool of a dumb society or a genius to complicated laws and unproven theories. What matters now to him is the future lies ahead.
Be fooled or be the fool?
"Uh... What should be the task that you want me to do?"
"It should be relatively easy and a life-driven task. You're already been reborn and assigned to a current identity of Leon Alexios-Leventis, a young child with no prowess in knowledge but had such pure aptitude of magics. That young body had multiple disorders and lots of complications, it had to be done," replies the imageless man, God.
"So your saying is that, you actually reanimate my life into this world? That you also the mastermind behind my death?" Leon responded. "This young kid's life would be fruitful if you gave him a chance to live and prove his worth. But, in the end, I don't understand your motive why it should be me?"
"Yes, and yes, I do." The imageless man answers, "But, I didn't lead your own death. It was you... Your own accord that delivers you from death. That softness of yours made a hole and murders your life."
"And so... What is the purpose of me, being in this world?"
"Like what I said a moment ago, your task is a life-driven jo—."
"...It means, that this task will come into me? And like it or not, as a former member of the elite society, I should probably proceed with my life and let the fate decide?"
"Very well... In that case, go ahead and I'm looking forward to your cooperation."
