Chapter 48: 48- Combo
Mark stomped his feet on the ground and launched himself forward like a rocket launcher, in just a moment, he immediately appeared in front of the skeleton, he swung the halberd in his hand and was met with two flaming swords which collided with each other,
*Boom!
sparks and flames flew everywhere as they both brandished their weapons towards each other, Mark was at the losing side at first because of stats difference but as the fight goes on, his attack and speed were increasing at a very fast speed that started overwhelming the skeleton.
Mark brandished the heavy halberd like it was some kind of long light stick that could be swung around with ease, but his blows were like wrecking ball banging the bones of the skeleton, and not just that, Mark is a weapon specialist, it meant that he mastered all of the different types weapons and was as good as a master who had used weapon for many years.
*Bang!
The halberd durability turned 0 and immediately broke but Mark was not fazed even by a bit, in one smooth motion, another weapon appeared on his hand which was a katana, and continued attacking the skeleton.
Mark's attack pattern had also changed and his movement became faster, his attacks started penetrating the defenses of the skeleton, and chirping its health little by little, ever since becoming berserk, the skeleton defenses have gotten stronger and its attacks were also fiercer.
But fighting against Mark, people will get confused about who really the boss monster is.
*Boom!
The skeleton was sent flying as Mark was able to strike it on its chest, few ribs fell from it, but Mark was not done, like a thirsty wolf going for the bone, he struck once again, the skeleton haven't recovered yet and was still in midst of standing up but the moment Mark arrived, he threw away his iron Katana and pulled outa chain sickle from his inventory.
"Crafting all these weapons really did come in handy!" Mark made the chain sickle dance around his body striking every part of the skeleton, Mark's movement became unpredictable as to if the chain sickle had its own life, it will turn on the right way and struck the open side of the skeleton.
"Let's do the 100 hits perfect combo those old fogeys taught me!" Mark smiled wildly, he spun his body and the chain sickle followed, and then when the skeleton raised its sword to block the attack, the chain sickle spun around the sword and continued moving on its way, like a snake wrapping around its prey, it didn't take long for the skeleton to be bounded by the chains.
Mark pulled the skeleton up and threw him into the air, he then pulled out a spear from his inventory and waited for the right timing when the skeleton was about to fall.
"1st combo" Mark swiped the spear up and hit the skeleton making it fly up in the air once more, "2nd and 3rd combo" Mark stabbed towards the skeleton twice in a second, "4th combo" Mark jumped in the air and slammed his spear towards the skeleton towards the air once more.
"5,6,7,8,9,10 combo" Mark appeared just above the skeleton and like a shadow, he struck the skeleton as he jumped around the cave, he could do it because the cave was pretty narrow and Mark could freely launch himself and struck whenever he passes by the skeleton.
"Next weapon" Mark threw the spear towards the skeleton piercing it on the chest and then pulled out two daggers from his inventory, Mark then appeared beneath the skeleton and attacked it madly, not letting it fall to the ground no matter what.
Mark's attack was very fast and he knew what he was doing, after Mark reached 20 hit combo, he threw the daggers towards the skeleton and easily piercing it once again and lodging on its bones, Mark then took out another weapon from his inventory.
Mark carried about 20 weapons in his inventory, 5 tools and last were some necessities, Mark knew that iron weapons are easy to break so he needed to bring a lot of weapons, there are also some rare materials such as steel, diamond, and mithril but the rarest among them all is titanium.
And Mark wanted to find titanium for himself, it could be found in the second continent but finding it in the first continent was close to impossible like the Oath of Death, but Mark didn't care, he was a guy that liked to make the impossible possible.
The battle with the skeleton lasted for exactly 57 seconds and it died at the 70th hit combo, the skeleton turned into a pile of bones and finally fell to the ground, Mark stopped and sat back to the ground, he looked around the cave and it was safe, Mark sighed and finally, his skill Abandonment ended.
Mark felt weak as the skill duration ended, he looked at the pump-up skill and turned it off, immediately Mark felt his body getting heavier like the adrenaline pumping all over his body disappeared, and the pain senses that have been turned off returned.
"Fuuu!" Mark suppressed himself from groaning from pain, he took a deep breath and sighed, though he seemed fine, he was hurting all over, speaking of which, he leveled up a few times from killing the skeleton and also received achievement points.
"Eh? a unique achievement?" Mark exclaimed from surprise as he checked his notifications.
