Broken stepped out of his study and saw Yara standing there quietly, head bowed and her hands shaking.

"Yara..." he said in a gentle voice.

She raised her face and saw Broken alongside a girl with a hood that covered the lower half of her face, only revealing her eyes.

"She is so beautiful," Yara whispered.

Startled, she quickly looked back at Broken. "My Lord, forgive me..."

He shook his head. "No, it's alright. Please, don't tell anyone about my friend's presence here. I'll be away for a few days; ask Freya for anything you need, and look after the house well."

Broken gave Yara's shoulder a light pat, then walked away with Aerin following behind him.

Yara watched on silently as Broken walked away with the mysterious girl. She felt like she recognized the face, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"She's so beautiful," she said, her voice low and full of wonder.
