Chapter 2: Best Friends
He was unsurprisingly ginger, his face had defined features espescially his jawline, he only saw such jawlines on tv before. He was nothing like Ed apart from gingerness of course. Ed had the goofy features, a round face, big eyes and unchanging red cheeks. He was more on the attractive side if he might say himself. His height was going to be one of the hardest things to get used to in this body as he was 190 cm before he passed away but Edgar was only around 170 cm.
Dwelling on this topic brought out a few tears in his eyes as he remembered his family. His parents were always supportive of him and loved him immensely. They always thought he would find a place in life and be happy. Getting rid of the recollection Edgar focused on the present.
He was the cousin of Ed Sheeran. It was still mind boggling how that turned out. Apparently they basically grew up together, although they had different personalities, they were best friends. Ed obviously loved music and learned how to play guitar on his own while composing original songs and writing lyrics. Edgar on the other hand was more interested in video games. He was also a League of Legends fan and played almost everyday. It was 2015 and League of Legends professional scene started to show signs of what it would become in a few years.
One of the first things Edgar noticed when he crosed to this world that he was reborn with a system. System introduced itself as simply League of Legends System. Edgar almost laughed out at the time not only because of the happiness of being reborn with a system but also because of the absurd name. System told Edgar that its only purpose was to train Edgar to be the best League of Legends player to ever touch the keyboard. He was ecstatic. He also had dreamt of going pro but unfortunately had no talent or really the dedication for it.
While Edgar was comtemplating Ed was getting more and more worried as Edgar's eyes were unfocused and he had a stupid smile going of on his face. Ed suddenly jumped up from his seat and said
'' What the hell man. Get a grip of yourself, you look stupid with that grin on your face.''
Edgard realized he had been dozing off for almost five minutes and said
'' Oh, sorry dude, I was just thinking about the game''
''Why are you so obsessed with this game anyway? you said you werent even that high ranked, don't you think you should find some other things to do? You could always come with me when I play songs outside.''
'' Don't even suggest, I still don't understand how you can be so energetic while singing in this god damn weather. And you know what? I think I figured out the game and will try to become professional player.''
''You are kidding right? Why didn't you figure it out before then? You said the game itself needed both skill and knowledge and now you say you had a sudden epiphany and figured it all out? I call that bullshit bro.''
''Well you will eventually see it for yourself whether you believe it or not.''
''Whatever, do what you want, it isn't like I have the right to speak like a proper adult. I am trying to be a musician for fuck's sake. People do not even stop and listen for a few seconds these days, everyone is just rushing through the day.
'' I believe in you mate, your talent is something else to be honest. You just have to grind your way through to top.''
''Yeah, yeah whatever. I am going to my house, do not stay up too late. I am going to have the breakfast here and I WILL WAKE YOU UP if you are sleeping by then.
''You are on annoying cunt did you know that?''
''Hell yeah. Anyway see you tomorrow.''
''Yeah, take care''
When Ed left the house Edgar got up and headed to his room. He immediately sat down and opened his computer logging in to the game.
