Chapter 1: Wake Up
I can't remember the name I was born with.
But I surely had one, because it didn't make sense for me to not have it, you know? Yeah. Maybe the after effects of dying the first time is just taking away from what I remember, of course.
My name however, for the time being, is Itadori Yuji, what a blunder, I would have rather be reborn as Kashimo even if I was forced to listen to more jokes about the 'farmer slayer' than I would have as Yuji. You see, Yuji is the kind of protagonist who gets kicked in the balls.
I hope that I have the mental fortitude to handle these issues myself. Last night was the night I ate Sukuna's finger apparently, I didn't even want to do that, but I only awakened after the incident.
Had I gained control before the finger incident, I would've just done my best to fuck off Japan completely, if I'm being honest. Maybe go boxing or soccer to make great money and live comfortably.
But I'm not that lucky huh.
"Can I at least say goodbye to my classmates?" I asked Gojo who was staring me down, sighing in relief as he nodded.
"But we don't have much time, because you're going to be enlisted in Jujutsu High, so make sure you say goodbye to your family and friends," Family? Did Yuji even have a family? I cannot remember any mention of uncles, cousins, or frankly anyone.
Isn't it interesting how Yuji for all of his physical spectacle, has barely to no friends? There was never a mention of him being friendless, but we never see a single thought about who he left behind.
Yuji, if by any chance you got my body, I hope you can live my life the best you can, just like I will try my best with yours.
Now I had to say goodbye to Yuji's friends, who most gave me a quick assurance that we would be on our phones, then I went to the hospital to visit Iguchi-senpai and Sasaki-senpai.
"Sasaki-senpai, how's Iguchi-senpai's condition?" I asked her, knowing that he had been badly hurt in comparison to Sasaki-senpai.
"You probably won't believe me, but we were attacked by a strange monster and I was captured too." She said.
"I believe you, Sasaki-senpai, but those weren't monsters, they were curses," I told her.
"Curses are born from human feelings, that finger when taken out of the seal, had attracted the attention of every single curse close-by, of course, you didn't know, and I was the one to give it to you in the first place," I told her. Which was the truth, or so-so, Yuji gave it to her. But I am Yuji now.
"Don't worry, there's someone coming tomorrow who can help Iguchi... Until then," I gave her what I hope to be a good smile and left as I had already said my piece.
"So, have you made a decision?" Gojo asked me as we were sitting down in a bench, already have gone through Gojo asking who I had to bury the bones, yet I still had his ashes to keep with me.
"I will get those stupid fingers," I told him.
"Huh? Just like that? I thought someone uninvolved would at least make some questions," Gojo stated.
"Uninvolved? How can you say that when I already ate the finger of whatever you called it? Not to mention that I'm going to be executed anyways, at least that way I can help people," I told him.
"Besides, I didn't think much about it because I thought it sounded dumb at first, but my mom was one of you people, I'm sure of it," I told him as he raised an eyebrow.
"Is that so?" I nodded, and he left it like that.
"So, that finger you were keeping, can you give it to me? I'm gonna eat that," I told as Gojo held the finger for a moment before he gave it to me.
I swallowed it whole trying to ignore the taste that was just wrong, honestly, how the hell did Sukuna managed to delude himself into eating people.
"Man, next time I'm dipping the finger in either ketchup or chocolate dipping, this is just god awful," I told Gojo as I held my hands to my stomach, hoping I wouldn't throw up.
"Ah, I don't take chocolate dipping would save it anyways," Probably not, but damn it would likely make this easier.
"Anyways, let's get going?" Huh?
"Where?" I asked him.
"Tokyo," I jumped as I turned to look at Megumi.
"Oh, you're okay," I hear him murmur about being all bandaged up, but that doesn't take away from my point.
"So, what are we doing in Tokyo? I've never been there," I told them, I forgot that Jujutsu High was in Tokyo, huh. How did I forget that when the entire Exchange Event was a thing?
Hn.
I look at the place and wow, it's just beautiful, Megumi had gone a bit ahead of us to his dorm, while it was just me and Gojo.
Meanwhile I was issued the 'challenge' of fighting cursed doll by the director.
"Why I want to get here? Well, because someone has to, with Great Powers comes Great responsibilities," Not to mention that your planning in executing me regardless, so it's not like you can deny me.
"Are you seriously quoting Spider-Man to me right now?" The guy asked as the cursed doll kept trying to get close to me.
My muscle memory was the only thing saving me, because I had never entered a fight where I had actually won, so dodging and slapping away it's punches were what kept me from losing instantly.
Yuji won by grappling, but I must admit, there was something else bubbling on my guts, information flowing through my brain, like there was something I had to awaken, and this fight would make my breakthrough.
This was it.
I raise my left hand in front of my hand, and my right hand is at my hip, ready for my attack.
My foot enter in position, and the doll jumps right into it, however, I could feel something that I never had before.
Power.
As the doll was forced stopped, I unleashed my fist into the doll.
