Chapter 36: One Small Interruption

[Balance: 525]

(A.N. 385 + 140 (Two days passed) = 525)

Zeta woke up to find Nezuko in between Felicia and himself. She had a nightmare last night and knocked on their door. Thankfully, this was one of the few nights that they weren't exchanging bodily fluids, so they happily let her in.

Being awake before anyone else, Zeta got up from the bed and made breakfast for the two girls.

Morning zipped by as the small family got ready for yet another day of doing nothing.

Zeta was completely fine with relaxing on the couch while having his hair played with by a beautiful woman like Felicia. While enjoying the dream, he looked at his system balance and found that he had enough points for the next upgrade he'd been looking forward to.

[Space Marine form has been unlocked.]

[Please choose a legion]

[Note: After choosing a legion, you will not be able to choose any form or item from another legion unless the system rewards you with such an item. This means that you will only be able to become the primarch from the legion you choose.]

This was a big shock to Zeta. He had already dreamed of seamlessly changing from Primarch to Primarch, all with their own unique specialties. Unfortunately, the system gave him a choice.

This also means that he can't just pick a legion because they're overpowered because he'd eventually become whatever weirdo primarch they had.

The problem was that every chapter of the Space Marines excel in their own way. Every aspect of battle is attuned to a different legion... except Ultramarines of course, they're overpowered.

This means that Zeta should be looking more at the Primarchs rather than legion itself. Since a single space marine could probably destroy Earth regardless of what legion it's from.

There were many options to choose from. Vulkan is physically the strongest, Conrad Kurze could see the future, Sanguinius was a sexy man, but his legion suffered from perhaps the worst downside to any gene-seed, making Zeta eliminate the Blood Angels immediately.

Zeta continued to suffer with this decision for the next hour of his life.

'Leman Russ was really strong and his legion is OP... but Sanguinius would be a great form to have. Vulkan would be able to overpower Thanos effortlessly with a hand behind his back... but Sanguinius was both strong and attractive.' Zeta thought to himself. He knew he wanted to be Sanguinius, nobody wouldn't want to be him, however, the downsides that come with being a Blood Angel doesn't make it appealing in the slightest.

He could simply avoid using his Space Marine form and use other race's forms until he becomes Sanguinius, but that would be a waste of his immediate 500 points that he's already spent.

[You cannot get a refund.] The system told him. He'd already bought the form, so no refund was afforded.

'I could probably deal with the Red Thirst, but the Black Rage would completely fuck me over in combat situations, which will be the only situation I use the Space Marine form in the first place.' Zeta thought to himself.

[Sanguinius has no influence over the warp in this dimension. The Black Rage does not exist here.] The system explained.

'...' Zeta's mind was vacant. His finger quickly tapped the air.

[Blood Angel Chapter has been selected.]

"What's happening?" Felicia stopped playing with Zeta's hair the second she found his tan skin losing its color. While this happened, Zeta felt his fangs ache for a couple of seconds.

Zeta stood up from the couch and observed the changes that were happening with his body, ignoring the worrying looks from Nezuko and Felicia.

After almost a minute of Felicia and Nezuko looking at Zeta in shock, the changes stopped. What resulted was a completely different person.

Before, Zeta had looked like a charismatic young man that often did sports and got into fights. However, now, Zeta looked like a prince who had never even seen the sun, his muscles remained, but his new skin tone changed his charm from a pure masculine one to that of majesty.

His hair got slightly longer, his fangs were more protruded, mimicking a vampire and his eyes now resembled a ruby.

"Did you just turn into a vampire?" Felicia half-joked.

"Something similar. I didn't expect any changes to my human form." Zeta replied while inspecting himself. His veins seemed to have vanished. They no longer showed themselves at his wrists, nor had any color, further adding to his pale look. "So how about it? More charming?" Zeta flirted with Felicia.

"When can I become like this?" Felicia asked herself while feeling Zeta's skin. His skin was extremely smooth, to the point where Felicia didn't mind becoming a vampire if it meant she no longer had to spend hours in the shower and bathroom making sure her skin didn't deteriorate.

"Unfortunately, I can't make anyone become like me. But, on the upside, you're the only one in the world living with two vampires." Zeta laughed as he sat next to Nezuko. Despite his differences, she didn't hesitate in sitting in his lap and receiving pats from him.

"...does that mean I'm the blood bank?" Felicia asked. Zeta just gave a smirk.

Despite the transformation that Zeta underwent, the day didn't change in the slightest. The three of them enjoyed the fact that America's taxes were going straight to their pockets and enjoyed the luxury that held.

Eventually, Zeta had to find out if he was immune to sunlight at some point, and that point was when Nezuko saw an amusement park on the T.V. and immediately wanted to go to it.

That led the three of them to leave the house and make their way to the closest amusement park.

Nezuko could hardly contain her excitement, she was bouncing around in car on their way there, almost causing a couple crashes along the way.

When they finally arrived, Nezuko flew out from the open window and ran in, without caring for the yells of the staff that needed money before entry.

Zeta and Felicia weren't too far behind, paying the staff for the three of them and following Nezuko as she made her way to the biggest ride first. By some miracle, she was the minimum height for the ride, which had no line, and had a seat waiting for her to take her seat.

This amusement park only needed the high entry fee, then the customers could enter, use the rides as they wished. Food and drinks were no free however.

Regardless, Nezuko was now strapped into the most intense ride of the amusement park. Zeta turned to the corner to find her strapped in and watched as she got shot into space.

The ride had two parts of 4 seats, 2 seats facing in either direction. While on the seat, Nezuko felt her world flip upside down as she realized that the seats were being flipped as she was being taken to heaven, and descending back to the mortal plane.

(A.N. I find it really difficult to describe rides. Basically, Nezuko is sat in a seat that has another seat right next to it. On the backside of those chairs are another two. These four seats go up and down like a Ferris Wheel, but really fast, and while they're going up and down, the four seats spin vertically.)

Surprisingly, there were zero fear on Nezuko's face. The only thing stopping her from laughing and crying out in joy was the gag in her mouth. She loved it when the ride fell backwards as if she was really falling from space.

Nezuko waved at the couple as she whizzed past with a happy smile on her face.

Soon enough, Nezuko's turn on the ride was over, and the three of them got ready to go to another ride.

They got a quick snack to eat and began searching the amusement park for another ride.

Zeta held one of Nezuko's hands while Felicia took the other.

*BANG*

A gun shot rang out in the amusement park.

Nezuko and Felicia glanced to their left to find Zeta, lying face first on the ground with a hole in his throat, gargling blood.

Felicia immediately dragged him into what cover she could find while Nezuko stood starstruck in the middle of the park, she knew the general direction the bullet came from considering the hole in Zeta's throat could only come from two directions.

Every citizen in the park began panicking and running in whatever direction they could in order to escape.

Felicia quickly pulled Nezuko into cover while she got to doing the best she could to nurse Zeta.

250 meters away, a hooded figure could be seen with a sniper rifle that oozed smoke. He spoke into his earpiece.

"Target eliminated. A shot through the throat will make sure he'll suffer. Hail Hydra." The man spoke before beginning his escape. He carefully placed his sniper into a guitar case and picked up the metal casing on the floor. He wouldn't be able to clean the gunpowder, but the insiders could do that when they 'investigate' the crime scene.

It was at this moment that he decided to look back at the crime scene one last time, to make sure that he wasn't being pursued.

Stood where he previous shot his target, now stood a metallic skeleton, reminiscent of a T-800.

"Threat spotted." The robo-skeleton spoke with a monotone voice.

Without hesitation, the robot skeleton began sprinting at the hydra agent, covering the distance in only a few seconds.

Recognizing the threat, and knowing that he couldn't out-run it, the hydra agent pulled out his sniper from his case in one swift motion.

*BANG*

Another gunshot resounded in the amusement park, however, this time, no damage was done. In fact, it looked as if the sniper had simply added armor to the robot's chest.

The skeleton placed its bony fingers upon his skull, threatening to crush it at the slightest movement.

The hydra agent pulled a knife out from his boot, trying to stab his own chest, but it was stopped by the skeleton's other hand.

That was when the metallic, robot fingers turned into pale, bony ones.

"You fucker. You really almost killed me." The voice turned from an A. I's to that of a psychopathic clown.

"Y'know, I've never really been one for torture. I've killed more than I can count, but the idea of torturing never really got the blood flowing." The skeleton turned into a pale vampiric/ elvish type being.

"But now... in this form... I can't stop thinking about all the ways I can distort your voice. You're about to find out why the soldiers of the most loyal empire would rather suicide than be captured by the Drukhari."
