Chapter 1: Prologue
They say darkness is cold, darkness is evil, darkness is everything one must fear and run away from.
But to him, darkness was safety, a haven where no one could hurt him and no one could lie to him.
To him darkness is a friend that protects him from harm.
He had always loved darkness. He had always loved to stay in the dark and to sing so softly like an angel shrouded in shadows, like a child hiding from the secrets that could hurt him once revealed.
He was so beautiful, so delicate, so lovely. And he had the purest smile and the sweetest laugh. He could never hurt anyone. No one could ever hurt him.
To him darkness is his world, the world only he could live in and thrive.
He was so gentle, so careful, so sweet.
And he was never evil despite loving the darkness.
No he was perfect, the image of a rare diamond, hidden by a velvet veil of dark silk.
He only wanted to be loved....he only wanted to be cherished...
darkness is his friend, he had always loved the color black.
Darkness is his protector, he had always loved the shadows every time he closed his doors to sit by the window.
Darkness is his love, he had always sought to hide within its arms.
...
He should have never embraced it though.
Sweet...sweet angel in the dark....
