Chapter 1: A Dream
A dark room with no source of light and exit except an old broken door. It stinks of blood. You can see blood everywhere on floor like it was mopped with it. Suddenly a voice full of pain echoes making this heart wrenching sight more terrible and creepy.
" Aah " a man fastened in steel chains wearing torn clothes screamed. The man's body was covered with blood and uncountable scars can be seen on his bare arms. The knees were paining due to bending down continuously.
" Let.. me.. go" The man shouts. The sufferings he has gone through can be easily estimated by listening to his voice. The voice was full of discomfort but there was no sign of fear in it.
"Sure... just give me the information that I want and I will certainly let you go." A woman dressed in red glittery dress and black high heels putting over her feet replied. Her face wasn't visible due to darkness. She was sitting on a chair which was no less than a throne. Two guards were standing. One on each side with no mercy over their faces.
" Not even in thousand years." The man said without any kind of tremble in his voice.
" I don't like your answer.. guards cut his fingers down." The woman ordered and guards cut down his finger. The man screamed in pain.
" Well.. Are you going to change your decision now?" The lady asked.
" No way.. It doesn't matter how hard you try you will never be able to get what you want. I choose death over helping you." The man said sternly.
" oh.. what a loyalty (claps her hands).. I know you aren't afraid of death but will you be able to endure this pain. Just join me and no one will do anything to you." The lady respond.
" NEVER" The man rejected.
"Alas... Wrong answer again . Dig out his eyeballs." Lady snaped and her guards listening to her orders move to the man. One gaurd picked his face and the another one ready for digging his brown eyes out.
Before they could do something. Kevin woke up from his slumber covered with sweat panting heavily.
" oh god not this dream again. Why the hell am I seeing this dream again and again and Why everything seems so real." He asked himself.
His phone's alarm started ringing. He put it off.
" Nevermind.. Today I will go to doctor for now let's forget about it get ready for job." He said to himself.
He woke up and went to bathroom. He washed his face and started brushing his teeth. His one hand was on the brush moving it up and down in mouth whereas his another hand was busy in scrolling his mobile. After having shower and dressing up he starts making his breakfast.
As he started cooking he said, " Oh man it sucks to live alone. No girlfriend, no parents just me and my boring job."
He left his 3 BHK apartment and get into his car Range rover and drove it to the company. He is a chief operating officer (COO) in a multinational company.
As he entered everyone showered him with respect and wished morning. He went to his office. Sitting on his chair while letting out a sigh thinking about his dreams. He was rubbing his temples and a frown can be seen on his face.
" May I come in sir." His assistant Sarah asked while knocking on door which made him come out of his thinking.
" Ahem ... ahem.. yes please come in." Kevin permitted.
" Sir.. these are the files you asked for." Sarah said.
" Ok.. place them here and bring a cofee for me..... " Kevin was still saying bit Sarah interrupted him.
" Without milk, one sugar cube and extra strong. I know sir." Sarah replied with charming smile.
" Good. " Kevin appreciated.
" Thank you sir. I will bring you coffee." Sarah said and went out whereas Kevin just nodded and started going through the files.
Sarah brought coffee. Kevin took it and said," Sarah, make my appointment with a doctor."
" Yes sir.. but what happened to you? Are you fine? Do you have headache or fever or something like that. Wait let me check." Sarah asked worriedly and about to go to take first aid kit but Kevin hold her wrist to make her stop.
" Don't worry. It's just a bit stress. Nothing else. Don't stress yourself." Kevin said.
" but still sir. " Sarah got interrupted by him
" I said I am fine Sarah. Do I look like a old man or a little child to you who can't take care of himself ? " Kevin asked.
" No no no sir. How can you be old. You are 29 but looks like someone of 24. You have beautiful brown eyes with sharped and perfect features and body. Beside this you are also very charming, simple, down to earth. Although you are like a monster in anger but you are nice hearted person. uhh.. uh.. I mean you don't look like a old man at all. I .. I will be right back ." Sarah said and ran out of there.
Kevin was a little astonished but he chuckled and continued the work he was doing. After a while he heard a knock. It was Sarah. Kevin asked her to come in.
" Yes Sarah.. what is it ? " Kevin asked.
" I.. I .. came here to ask you if you need anything." Sarah said hesitately.
" No I don't need anything." Kevin said.
" o..ok " Sarah said and turned around for leaving but she turned back and asked " sir do you think something is looking different in me today ? "
" uhh.. oh yeah you didn't wear your glasses today. You are looking beautiful." Kevin praised.
Sarah slightly blushed but didn't let him see.
"Thank you sir. I wore lenses today that you gifted me on my birthday. Ohh.. by the way I fixed your appointment with doctor. It's at 4." Sarah replied.
" Oh that's great." Kevin said.
Sarah left the office with a cheerful smile and blush over her face.
(He praised me.) Sarah thought while her cheeks were turning red as tomato.
