Chapter 2: The relaxed life.

She was in Scotland as she was in a project regarding a bridge to be developed by the CECPL in the next 2 years. She worked under the most respected civil engineer in the country. The company was still developing and designing and finalising the budget of the project. They were to submit a complete estimation to the heads of the company in the coming week for them to finalise the details and begin the construction.

There were sleepless nights and restless days as they were on the project every second of the day. They had endless meetings to discuss various problems which seemed never ending. They somehow made it work in a week. They were worried if the CEO and the director wouldn't like it so they gave their best to avoid being under scrutiny.

It was the day before the final meeting when they were suddenly informed to stop working on the project. Nobody could understand why. The chief engineer remained calm though. The white haired man, who was sixty something, had a slight idea of what was going. But she couldn't understand what was going on. She felt so frustrated. In the end, all she had worked so hard for a week was for nothing. Great!

The assistant engineers needed a break as their project was on pause for now. They were a team of seven engineers who were really good at what they did. They had really good rapport with each other as they've been working on this project for quite some time. They had respect and understanding for each other and knew their boundaries. As they were bored and had free time, they decided to go out the next day and have some fun.

So the next day, they met at a good restaurant for their brunch told each other about the difficulties they faced the other day and asked what each other were up to. Ria was laid back, and enjoyed the moment as she sipped her juice. This was her time to relax. She was sitting next to Aryan who kept asking her questions every now and then about her personal life. But Ria didn't want to tell anyone what a boring and lonely life she had if not for this job and these people. So at times she would answer otherwise dodge and put it on somebody else. Palak kinda wanted Aryan's attention, and boy did she not try, she failed horribly. Ria understood the pattern and everytime she wanted to dodge one of Aryan's question she would pass it on Palak and Palak, oblivious to all this took her own time to explain stuff to Aryan. He was pissed that Ria wasn't taking his hints and was slightly annoyed at the blushing Palak. But nothing was serious and everybody enjoyed the talk in the end. They had a good brunch and thought of sight seeing around the city while they were still in Scotland. So they took their cars and went around the city until the late afternoon and then had their lunch. Then they decided to go to a concert and sung to their heart's content. Aryan would occasionally hit at Ria but Ria acted like she couldn't understand. Palak made a fool out of her sometimes. Everybody smiled at Palak sweetly. At the end of the day they decided to dine and then go home. Palak initially wanted to go home with Aryan in his car but ended up going with Ria as their houses were in the same direction.

I think I am gonna name the female lead as Ria. Aryan and Palak are her colleagues. I'll add the make leads name in the next chapter. I'll name the characters as we come across them.
