Chapter 38: Chapter 36- Shattered Dreams

"EDWARD ROBERTS! YOU COME BACK HERE RIGHT THIS INSTANT! "

'Shit! I should have informed her about Aleina being hospitalized. Damn! '

Edward berated himself as he slowly turned around only to meet with the piercing eyes of fuming Maria.

"Ha… What happened babe?" Edward was still feigning ignorance as he hid his hysteria with a façade of his calm face.

Maria was at the edge of losing her patience. She was standing with her hands crossed over her chest defensively while raising her left eyebrow in irritation. 

Despite of her asking repeatedly, when she didn't receive any answer from any of the bodyguard as well as Edward, she gritted her teeth in anger and broodingly asked-

"Why is Aleina unconscious, with an IV drip attached to her hand that has the logo of the City Hospital? "

She narrowed her eyes and looked straight into Edward's, which he kept avoiding by looking here and there.
