Chapter 2: Chapter 2: When Allies Call
"What the-"The queen Lorelei began.
The dungeon rumbled fiercely as dust and debris began to rain down. "My queen the castle is under attack!"a soldier was full of fear. A new recruit. "Do we know who it is?"Lorelei asked calmly. "N-no m-ma'am."he stumbled over his words.
Vinci quivered ever so quietly. Just then Lilith's hand came flying down to smack Vinci in her face. She flinched back, instinctively closing her eyes, awaiting the pain.
"Lilith!"Lorelei squinted her eyes at her daughter, in a flash she had moved from her position behind her daughter to guard Vinci from Lillith's wicked hand. Lilith's wrist tightly gripped by her mother, Lorelei viciously ripped her daughter from the ground as if she were removing a bandage from a wound. "I have allowed you to torture her! Do not push your luck any further today..."her intense eyes glared full of hatred for her psychotic daughter.
Lilith clenched her teeth, her eyes beginning to burn with tears once more, she hated her mother.
How could she just excuse Vinci for killing her precious Frey. She grasped onto her mother's own wrist, clawing at Lorelei. Lilith desperately tried to get away, "I hate you mother!"she screamed.
"Mother.. Please Lil's had enough.."the young prince, Lucifer, said gently placing his hand on his mother's shoulder. His striking eyes as grey a cloud on an overcast day. His icy blonde was hereditary, everyone in the Ludo family had it. Queen Lorelei always dyed her hair red.
"She needs to learn!"Lorelei said through clenched teeth, she hadn't realized it, but she had started choking her daughter. Drool spilled out from the corners of Lilith's mouth.
"M-mother..."Lillith barely got the word out. Lillith was strong, but not many could do anything when faced with their mother's killer grasp.
Lorelei seemed to snap back into reality, when Vinci began to scream bloody murder, she instantly dropped her daughter, whipping around to see Vinci. Blood began to stream down her cheeks. It gently fell from her mouth before she violently began to throw up blood. Her screams became louder.
"Someone shut her up!!!"a guard yelled, his hands over his ears.
One guard's eyes had rolled all the way back in his head, nothing left but white could be seen. He screamed in pain, his hands ripping at his eyes, as if trying to claw them out.
"Make it stop! Make it stop!!!"he cried out. He began to feel around on his sides, until he had felt his small dagger, unsheathing it, he quickly slight his right wrist. He dug hand into his right eye, digging at it furiously trying to pull it out. He sliced at his right arm downward, once again. He pulled out his right eye.
"Make it stop!!!!!"He hadn't stopped screaming that.
Another guard began acting similarly, he crotched down, hands covering his ears as he began rocking back and forth, "They aren't real. Their just voices.. Yeah everything's ok..."he kept rocking.
Vinci's screaming ceased after all were similar in a state, even the young prince and princess were acting as if they belonged in an institution for the insane.
Lorelei got up, blood dripping from her ears, mouth and intense orange eyes. "V-Vinci.."she stepped toward Vinci, only to trip. She began to slip in and out of consciousness.
Vinci stopped screaming. A completely different look took over her face and the look in her eyes weren't that of the sweet good side.
Even her voice was different, it was more matured and had a superior edge to it.
"Well, well, well.."Vinci looked up with a smirk, her eyes now golden. She looked around at her surrounding.
"Y-you..-"Lillith's voice was in shock, but lacked none in the hatred department,"You!"she hissed.
"Y-y-you..Y-you,"Vinci mocked, "Me what?"she looked at her with a condescending smirk. Her eyes, equally full of condescendence.
"It was you!!"Lillith growled hatefully.
"What was me.."Vinci asked innocently.
"You killed my Frey!"she gritted her teeth.
"Oh right... I have no clue who your talking about.."Vinci smirked.
"How could you not remember a life you took.."Lillith was infuriated.
"Oh I dunno, why bother remembering when the kill is so insignificant.."Vinci shrugged, she had a smug look on his face. "I-"Vinci stopped, a surprised look on her face, "Oh so she still has fight left in her does she?"she spoke to herself. "Well at least it'll be a little fun."she said quietly to herself. "Kid stop trying to fight me.. You don't have the strength to fight me."
Lillith hadn't believed any Vinci had told her about there being more than one soul within her. She had written it off as some sick trick to try and make her... Whatever it didn't matter.
This thing...had been hiding within Vinci, the whole time. Lillith broke down, she fell to her knees. Her hands held her face as she began to weep. She had been torturing someone who was innocent.
"Dammit kid, quit fighting me! You will never be able to escape me. You can barely even control me."Vinci smirked. "Besides, the only one who could keep you sane...We killed remember.."She smiled.
"No I..I didn't..I didn't kill him.."Vinci's voice cracked, it was full of pain.
"Aw kid, don't tell me your about to cry-"Vinci raised an eyebrow, still smirking, "Besides I watched us, I watched you kill your beloved Octavion."
"No, I..I didn't ."Vinci's voice cracked again, as a watered down bloody tear rolled down her cheeks.
Another explosion shook the dungeon causing more debris to fall.
"I know he's alive.. I..I know he'll come for me,"Vinci said quietly,"He has to.."she said trying to convince herself more than the demon trying to steal her body.
Through the explosions, voices broke through, "It's down here!"a male's voice echoed.
The demon knew the sound of that voice, but refused to believe it. He began trying to convince her it was just the guards. It was the highest possibility anyway.
"He will never come for you.. Octavion. Is. Dead."his voice echoed in Vinci's mind.
The male voice began to call out for someone.
