Chapter 2: beginning of the end
it only been 7 days till I made my decision to train become an adventurer but I felt like I haven't made any progress but I know something changed it may be small but I know I have to get some training in sword fighting I guess I'll have to ask mr Totoro I'm pretty sure he be happy to train , now that I think about it I don't even know were to go I should ask one of the soldiers I know I'll ask lieutenant lance where he's at he should know shikumi - "Lieutenant Lance can you tell me where I could find Commander Totoro I want to ask him something " lance - " did the king sent you young prince " shikumi - " no it's something more personal that I need to tell him " lance - " oh could the young prince has a crush by any chance " shikumi - " lieutenant lance this has nothing to do with a girl I simply wanted Totoro to train me how to wield a blade that is all " lance - " okay young prince but you know you could have asked me to train u I'm just as good as the commander " shikumi - " have you defeated totoro " lance - " no he is the commander after all and he's one of the best there is when it comes to skill but still you should've asked me if I wanted to train you after all I'm his right hand man " shikumi - " you just answered my question but your right I could've asked you if you want to train me but don't you have your family to take care of and plus I couldn't possibly put you to do this for me you see it's mostly because I want to be an adventurer and I want to get strong fast even though I still have 3 more years until I can join a guild so now you see what I'm doing here and why I want Totoro to train me I also want to be trained in magic but we only have a sorcerer but I guess that will work so can you tell me where he is " lance - " yeah but could you have just said that a little bit nicer young prince it wouldn't hurt to be nice but he's in the training hall at the base I'll go with you i have to go to the base anyways so come on it will be faster this way " , i don't think I ever been to the base I wonder what it's like its probably all old and plain but who knows It could end up looking like a garden but I'll just wait and see ,
lance - ok here we are I'll take you to Totoro and I will be on my way to work " shikumi - " wait this is the military base it's nothing like what I thought it would be it looks a lot more majestic than what I had in mind" lance - " I know right everyone says that when they come to the base " shikumi- " anyways thanks lieutenant lance I really appreciate this I will make sure that u would be able to spend some time with your family for doing this for me" lance- " oh no young prince you don't have to do that it's nothing more than me doing my duty of severing you prince shikumi " shikumi- " please allow me to do this least thing I need is for you to work hard and not be able to spend time with your family so think this as a order from the prince " lance - as you wish sir ummm so when are u going to do that I still have some paperwork to do and fill out the new recruits form " shikumi - " hahaha don't worry its going to be tomorrow now get to work at once lieutenant lance " lance - " yes sir " I think he was being sarcastic oh well time to go to Totoro for training now where is he ah there he is. shikumi - " commander Tadao Totoro " Totoro - " ah prince shikumi it a pleasure to see you so why are you here i haven't done anything wrong have i " shikumi - "no that's not it I'm not even here on my fathers wishes I wanted you to teach me how to fight" Totoro - " of course I will teach you but may I ask why " shikumi - " I want to become an adventurer but I have no experience in fighting or how to wield a sword so I wanted you to teach me how" Totoro - " ah so you want to become an adventure if that's the case then I'm going to train you but It's not going to be easy it might be the worst thing you've ever going to do but after I'm done you will be a forced to be reckon with " shikumi - " thank you Totoro for doing this all though it kinda selfish of me" Totoro - " wanting power is not selfish it show that you know you can improve and plus I always wanted a disciple to pass down my fighting skill I'm just glad you ask it to be me " shikumi - " well you are the best in the kingdom so its only natural for people to come to you right? " Totoro- " hahaha I guess so now let me see how you hold a sword " , hmmm I guess it's a test to see if I am capable of being trained but I guess this is the way to do it if I put my legs at distance and hold the sword with a stiff posture but a relaxed form. Totoro - hmmm yes that is a good form but relax a little bit if you can control your breathing and practice swinging it would come naturally so I think it would take at least till may 26th to train you and as I said it not going to be easy but I have a feeling you manage it so we start tomorrow now I want you to stay at the base for the rest of your time and don't worry about your father I'm going to tell him that you going to be helping me with some of the new recruits "
shikumi - " thank you Totoro for doing this it means alot to me "
Totoro - " no problem shikumi after all I know you since you were just little kid you were so joyful and loved everything what happened to yuki didn't you had a crush on her " shikumi - " ummm I.. i.. I don't have a crush on her what make you think that Totoro " Totoro - " whatever you say prince Shikumi but your reaction said a different thing anyways get some rest you need a lot of energy for tomorrow and please call me Tadao from now on " shikumi - " yes master Tadao " Totoro - " no no no just tadao no master or sensei only call me Tadao shikumi besides I call you by your name so you can call me by mine ok shikumi "
tomorrow another day an very Important day that is it's the start of my training I guess I should go to sleep now .
