Chapter 14: Islander Tribes

During the past decades, the Pacific Tribe is always the weakest tribe due to the numbers of their tribesmen and their territory. They were also the most primitive tribe as their territory is hidden behind lush forests and high mountains. Their border is also a vast sea or it might be an ocean as they can't see anything on the horizon where the sun rises. Most of them believes that after a vast ocean, there's a sea of flames where the sun resides.

There were no Tribe that is brave enough and tried to set sail in that direction, so no one knows what lies ahead. They don't even know that the world where they exist is a spherical shaped planet identical to Earth.

The Hierarchical Tribe of Hariman that they considered the strongest and wealthiest was located on the west part. Their territory is mostly vast prairie and valleys between plateaus which is separated by streams from the big river connected to the west sea.

There were rumors that the ancestor of this tribe was a great traveler from another continent.

But the truth is he's an outcast from the merchant group that travels from the Western Continent into the rural areas. He was assigned to an expedition to scout for places with many natural resources. Instead of returning to where he came from, he decided to became a tribe leader and develop a tribe based on his knowledge that came from western continent.

Who else wouldn't like it? He's just a nobody from the western continent, but he's a leader of a hierarchical tribe here. The rules that he established were adapted from the Imperial Empire where the Royal Family reigns the whole western empire.

There's a hierarchy, from highest which is the royal family, to the nobles, to the scholars, to the soldiers, to the commoners, and to the lowest level of servants or slaves.

But Hariman's approach is a little bit different due to the morals of the islanders.

The hierarchy starts from the leader's family, to the officials, to the soldiers and common residents.

Slavery will never be part of the Islander's tradition as they believe that every life is precious and most of them uphold to their hearts that a human's life is equivalent to a human's life. No more, no less.

The infrastructures of the Hierarchical Tribe is mixed with western style.

They were using wood from the trunks of the trees to build walls of cabins. There were also pavements with small gravels and sand. Despite the possession of western knowledge, the tribe leader can't fully take advantage of it because they don't have a western engineer and other professionals which possess the skills.

The Tribe's territories is considered a city, but a rural one. Different sizes of cabins is present along the road which is a paved path covered with sand. They also have wooden bridges and they were a bit advanced compared to the other tribes.

The other 4 tribes were almost the same with each other, they have similar terrain which is consist of a forest, a grass lands, mountains and hills, streams and a river connected to the sea and to the clam-like island. The difference is the diversity of the wild beast, common animals, plants and fishes.

On the northern part, the dangerous wild beast were usually Bears and Boars, on the north eastern part were Boas and Crocodiles, on the south east part were wolves and wild dogs, and on the southern part were tigers and apes.

And all these wild animals were present in the vast forest of the eastern part where the territory of the Pacific Tribesmen is located which is considered unlucky by the other tribes.

But this is also the reason, why the secluded and weakest tribe is not conquered by the other tribes. The dangerous forest protects their tribe from the outsiders, and they don't need to worry for a surprise attack from the vast seas on the other side.

The mountainous region is also not an option as a path. Only the river connects them from the other tribes. Thus, the other tribes not only considered the territory of the Pacific Tribe hard to conquer, but also not worth it.

The 6 Tribes were on a deadlock and they became allies instead. They know that there were other continents and other people who were stronger and better than them. So if they don't form an alliance, their tribes may vanish and their territory will be conquered by those foreigners.
