Chapter 7: Red.

"Answer me...You are not the one who wrote this letter, am I right?" from her pocket, Yumeko pulls out a beautiful blue letter.

Jack stops lodging his clothes for a moment and stares at the letter. He squeaks his eyes to read the words written there.

"Buwahahhaaa" Jack started to laugh like crazy.

"Oh god...what the heck is this? Oi Josh, you guys seriously did it with this letter. aha haha," He holds his stomach to contain the laughter.

"Wait don't tell me you really felt for this, Yumeko. Damn."

"So...it was all fake..?" Yumeko mutters.

"I mean come on..who will fall for this. You seriously need to grow up, Yumeko." saying that Jack when back to putting his clothes inside the bag.

"I have been waiting..all this time just for you...and what did I receive at the end..just a casual letter to break up with me? Hey, tell me... did you even care for me a single time" Yumeko asked, while on the verge of her breaking point.

"Huh? What are you talking about, Yumeko? I love you."

"Then why won't you ever take me out on a date! why won't you ever reply message back..just why...won't you ever try..." Yumeko starts to break down. "This is just not fair at all...only I end up riding the fairy wheel alone."

"I also have a life, Yumeko. you need to understand. I am 20, it is my age to have fun while hanging around with gangs, apart from that I'm also a busy guy. Stop making it everything about yourself, jus-just stop being selfish, Yumeko."

"What job do you do apart from being a delivery man?" Yumeko asked.

"Many things, Yumeko. Many things." Jack answered casually.

"But...why couldn't you at least wait till tomorrow to say to me that" tears roll down Yumeko's face as she stands there pouring out all her emotions in front of her apathetic ex-boyfriend.

Jack looks toward Yumeko after hearing her crying. "Why are you crying, Yumeko? Here take this and wipe it out". Jack then casually throws his towel at Yumeko, hoping that she will catch it. But it ends ups hitting Yumeko's face.

"A parting gift, all yours. Also, I'm in hurry Yumeko. I need to reach my parent's house before tomorrow noon. I can't miss out on the celebration."

Hearing those words, everything falls into one piece in Yumeko's mind.

"I get it..." Yumeko muttered softly. "I understood now...You never cared for me in the first place. You were just toying with me."

Jack just ignored her simply without giving a damn and continues to pack his stuff.

"It is called maturation, Yumeko. We all grow and leave things behind. At times you will understand that. But for now... I am praying that you get some of it, so that I can have a peaceful departure."

"Then let me ask you this...Do you even know what day is today?"

Jack raises his head and pokes a confused eye at Yumeko, after hearing that question.

"Nope...is there some kind of festival today-"

"Stop!...just stop please..." Yumeko immediately blocked her ears wither her hands, hoping she would stop hearing. Having had enough, Yumeko decides to leave, she turns around to head for the exit. She doesn't want to stay there for any second longer.

But before leaving she wants to say the words, which she has been holding back for a long time now. "Jack, you are the worst person I ever met," Yumeko said in a brutal tone.

A faint smile grows on Jack's face hearing that remark. "No problem...I hope you find eternal happiness, Yumeko."

Hearing that Yumeko bites her lips, grieving in sadness and betrayal. The feeling keeps on surging from below every time she heard one heartless comment from the person she put so faith in.

Narrator: for the first time in life, Yumeko has now experienced heartbreak but in the worst-case scenario an average person would experience.

Yumeko takes a long breath and tries to bring up her calm just for a moment to reply to that answer.

She lightly turns her face which is now dried up by tears and says"I hope you find someone or love someone so you can give an apology in more than one sentence."

As she tries to leave the house, trying to leave all the remorse behind. She sees a red scarf hung down the stair.

"Isn't that..." saying that Yumeko slowly walks toward the stair.

She collects the red scarf from the bar and slowly dusts it off the dirt with her hand.

Jack who is done packaging his bag, notices Yumeko with the red scarf in her hand.

"I have wondered for a long time, who scarf is that? It has been collecting dust for a long time if I could remember-"

Yumeko quickly interrupts Jack as she quickly turns and gives a furious look at Jack. At that very moment, the mixed emotions of sadness and frustration she was harboring up till now turn into one complete emotion, that is anger.

Sad, Beautiful, Tragic, Happy, breaking up, mosaic broken heart, and lastly anger. Yumeko has finally entered the last phase of the emotion, "Red".

Narrator: The feeling of experiencing unstoppable anger pumping inside her veins compels her to rush towards Jack with an urge to slap his face.

Narrator: Yumeko wore this red scarf during her first visit to Jack's house, shortly after he proposed to her. To Yumeko, it serves as an important moment. A moment that she wanted to cherish forever, for her this is an unforgettable memory.

Yumeko realise at that very moment, that Jack never really cared for her.

When he proposed to her, on the balcony on that fateful night. It was just at a moment, not a long-lasting wish.

Jack stared in silence, as Yumeko abruptly rushed towards him and stands there with her hand shaking up.

"Ugh...Yumeko...." Jack gave a confused look, failing to read the mood in front of him.

Yumeko wants to slap him so badly, like the slap her aunt, lady Bubbly gave to his father, that echoed the whole castle. But as she stands indulging in the anger, she quickly recalls the words said by her mother.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yumeko age: 8 years old

She sits on the lap of her mother, while she carefully listens to the advice her mom is giving.

"Listen, Yumeko. Once in a life, you are bound to experience sadness, and betrayal from your close ones. if that ever happens, remember not to get consumed by rage."

The queen then pats slowly over Yumeko's head as she keeps on speaking to her young daughter.

"It is in our human nature, that we will tend to act harshly when we experience those feelings firsthand. I have lost plenty of my close friends because of that and I regret it still now."

"So forgive them, give them a chance but if you feel like you can't forgive them, just walk away silently. But never show violence, in the end, you will be the one who ends up hurting the most."

Yumeko's mom then brings her face closer to her daughter and ask

"Is that clear, Yumeko"

Seeing her mother's serious face, Yumeko quickly obeys. "Yes, mother."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yumeko slowly calms down after recalling those words from her mother. She stops vibrating her hands and her body temperature heated by anger slowly rises down.

Jack still watches in confusion about what is happening in front of him.

As Yumeko plans to leave silently, following her mother's advice. She then recalled one more piece of advice. this time from her grandmother.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yumeko's age: 8

She sits on the lap of her grandmother, while she carefully listens to the advice her grandmom is giving.

"Listen, Yumeko. Once in a life, you are bound to experience sadness, and betrayal from your boyfriends. if that ever happens...just go for the word K I L L."

Yumeko face abruptly looks upwards after hearing that.

"Grandma, what does Kill mean?

"Just like it says..kill, you grab whatever in your hand, be a gun or an iron pole, and start smacking those bitches left and right."

Yumeko's face starts to panic hearing those words from her grandmother. "But..Mom said we should not show violence towards others..or we will lose them.."

"Oof..your mother is a coward... never falls for such cheap tricks. If your boyfriend ever hurt you badly, they are not your boyfriend anymore. they belong to a special category called "Scums."

"Oh, ok..grandma.."

"Listen Yumeko, I am going to give you some very important advice that you will definitely need in the future. Men have a huge ego so words don't work on them. So while confronting them, never used words."

"Then what should I do, grandma."

"The answer is simple, Yumeko. When you are confronting a guy, never look up, just look down and say this word....."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yumeko quickly embodies her grandmother's advice and tries to execute it.

Her eyes slowly trail down Jack's body from his face and after reaching the bottom, she mutters. "Small..."

A Shiever quickly runs at Jack's body hearing that word.

<Oi..what did she just say right now...and how did she know that mine is small!>

Narrator: Jack took a major hit.

Yumeko then quickly grabs Jack's shoulders on each side by her hands and plans to execute the finishing move.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Lastly, to finish them, just grab the shoulders by each side and then...."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yumeko then brings her left knee high in the air and lands a powerful Jhon Cena kick at Jack's crotch.
