Chapter 1: When you find out that your online bff is your cold CEO
As I heard my alarm buzz, I woke up turning my alarm off. Another day, same routine. Hi! I'm Kang Y/n and i'm 23 yrs old. I woke up from my bed and freshened up. I wore a formal dress to wear to my job. Yes, my job. I work in the Jeon industries. I am Mr Jeon's assistant. *sigh* Jeon...Mr. Jeon. He is one of the coldest person I have ever seen. Iceberg. I have been working there for almost 3 years. Now, leave that.
I went to my bedroom, took my phone and went to the kitchen and took out some energy bars because I can't waste time on my breakfast and i'm already late. I opened my phone while munching on my energy bar. I opened my messages and saw a new notification.
Y/n: Ahh Kookie!
I mumbled and smiled as I opened our chat.
CHAT:
Kookie: Sleepyhead you up yet?
I chuckled seeing his message. This is Kookie. We have been friends for over a year. We are more like bffs. But we have not told each other our name. I call him Kookie and he call me Potato. Funny right? He is a very cute and funny guy. We both know each other's name, age and little things like we both live in Korea. Kookie is 1 year older than me (23). He knows that I work at an industry and I also know that he works at an industry but we both haven't told about our industries name.
I started texting him.
CHAT:
Y/n: Faster than you coconut head!
Kookie: HEY! I told ya not to call me that just because a stranger did!
Y/n: Okay okay coconut sir.
I chuckled. Teasing is my job for sure.
Kookie: Look at the time your work starts in some mins. Go fast before your boss scold you again.
Y/n: Thanks Kookie. I gotta go now before that Iceberg scolds my a** out. Byee
I bid Kookie goodbye and took my things and went to my work in my car.
Time skip - At work
Aish! It's 8: 15am. I'm supposed to be here before 8:00am. That iceberg will surely catch me this time. I slowly went to my seat and sat down hoping the iceberg didn't saw me.
Irene: Girl where were you? Mr. Jeon almost asked me about you!
This is my best friend, Irene. We work in the same company and we are even deskmates.
Y/n: Good that he didn't see me. Wait- by almost you didn't mean he asked right?
Irene: Today probably luck chose you. Before he asked someone called him and I went away as if I didn't see him.
We both chuckled and started doing our work.
Time skip - Lunch Time
Irene always buys lunch for both of us. So she gave me my lunch and we both started eating. I opened my phone and went to chat with Kookie.
CHAT:
Y/n: Am here!
Kookie: Lunch time? Same here. So did you get caught today by the iceberg?
Y/n: Lucky me..nope!
Kookie: Your afraid of him but still love him? wow!
Y/n: Who won't love a hottie and cutie! I will marry him even if i had to break a leg. Leave that, tell me is your work going ok?
Kookie: mm so so...
Y/n: Aish! lunch time's gonna finish see ya later kooks!
Kookie: Byee potatouuu!
I chuckled seeing the way he calls me. I finished my food and went to throw the cover in dustbin.
Y/n: Irene did you finish? Should I throw your cover too?
Irene: Oh here! Thanks sis!
I nodded and went to the dustbin and dumped it. I went to the washroom and did my business. I started walking towards my seat when I saw Mr. Jeon coming my way.
Y/n: Oh boy!
I murmured and turned around trying to go to the opposite direction.
Mr. Jeon: Y/n!
I cursed under my breath and turned and walked towards him.
Y/n: Yes sir?
Mr. Jeon: Did you message Mr.Park about accepting his deal?
I stood there with a shock face when I remembered I should have sent him the message today morning but I didn't do it yet.
He sighed and talked again.
Mr.Jeon: Y/n don't say you forgot.
His expression turned into an annoyed one.
Y/n: Uhh uh i'll make sure I'll reply to him now itself. Sorry sir.
I bowed down and started walking when he shouted.
Mr Jeon: Meet me in the office after your work!
I soon went , took my phone and replied to Mr. Park. I let out a sigh of relief. I went to chat with Kookie.
CHAT:
Y/n: kooki-ah I got caught again! And...scolded.
Kookie: Don't tell me you forgot to do your work and that's why he scolded you?
Y/n: hehe kinda..
Kookie: Y/n! if you keep forgetting then it's not his mistake about scolding you. If I was there then I would've done the same.
Y/n: I know but I just forget it..
Kookie: You should probably make a to-do list of every work he gives. That may help.
Y/n: That's a good idea! Thanks Kookie I owe ya a lot!
Kookie: I know I am great now I gotta complete my works byee!
Time skip - After work
I finished my work and it was 6:00pm. Irene and all others had left by 5:00 because they didn't have much work. On the other hand me, as Mr. Jeon's assistant , I have 2x their work.
I took my bag which had my phone and other important stuff and went to Mr.Jeon's, the iceberg's room.
I knocked on the door. I heard him say "come in" so I went inside and closed the door even though there's no one outside.
Y/n: Yes sir why did you call me?
Mr.Jeon: Sit down.
He said with his cold face and pointed at the set of sofa in the corner of his room. We normally do our work together sitting there when we get a powerful client whom we can't afford to lose. Probably it's about Mr. Park this time.
I sat there looking at him. More like staring at him. I was looking at his eyes, nose,lips, hair when suddenly he called me.
Mr.Jeon: Is your staring done? If then can I complete my work?
I suddenly looked away. I felt my cheeks heating up and I felt to vanish from the world after feeling this embarrassed.
While the time I waited for Mr.Jeon to finish I took my phone and started chatting with Kookie.
CHAT:
Y/n: Are ya here kookie?
Just in a few seconds I heard a notification in Mr.Jeons phone. I looked at him when I remembered what happened a minute ago and looked back at my phone.
Kookie replied to me when I heard the notification in my phone.
Kookie: Anytime for my potato. Why? did he scold you again?
Y/n: No not like that. Aish how to say....uhmm don't laugh or tease me when I say ok?
Just after sending that message I peeked at Mr.Jeon and I didn't hear his notification so I thought it was just a coincidence.
When I again heard my phone's notification. I smiled and looked at Kookies message.
Kookie: Ok but I can't promise.😏
*Mr. Jeon POV*
I was doing my work after I caught Y/n staring at me. She looked so cute when she blushed! Yes, I have a crush on Y/n since 2 years. But I didn't confess because I thought she might not feel the same. I heard a notification in my phone and I opened to see that Potato had messaged me. But when I replied I heard y/n's phone notification. But I just ignored it. I muted my phone's volume not wanting to make it obvious that I chat during my work time.Then when I again texted potato I again heard Y/n's notification ring. Now it made me feel a bit weird.
But again I ignored it. Then I walked towards Y/n with some papers and sat in the sofa in front of her. I saw her looking at her phone when I again received a message from probably potato.
Potato: Kooks am a bit busy I will talk to you after my work. Bi-bi!
I offed my phone and looked at Y/n who was already looking at me.
*Y/n POV*
Mr.Jeon: So Y/n I called you because now Mr.Park will be a part of the new project.
I nodded in agreement.
Mr.Jeon: And now we have to complete these works.
He said while showing me some papers. He took half of it for him and half for me.
Y/n: Mr. Jeon, I forgot to mention but tomorrow you have to attend Mr.Shin's meeting.
Mr. Jeon: Okay and Y/n you don't need to call me Mr. Jeon when we both are alone. You can call me Jungkook.
Y/n: O-ok
*Jungkook POV*
We both started doing the work. I completed my work after some mins and waited for Y/n's to complete. I thought I should probably ask my potato about the things she was gonna tell. I opened my phone and typed to potato.
Kookie: Ya free? Tell me wat happened!! am a curious Kookie now!
I always talk to her in a free language since we're bffs. But again when I sent the message I heard Y/n's phone's notification. Now it's really weird. But before I could think or act anything Y/n spoke.
Y/n: Mr. Jeo-I mean Jungkook, I finished the work.
Jungkook: uh ok you can go now have a good night!
After a while Y/n went home and I also took my things went home.
Time skip - Next day
*Y/n POV*
Here I am again starting a new day. I am early today because Kookie had sent me loads of messages reminding me about work and being early. I am almost 1 hour early. I went to the office and saw no one was there yet so I straight went to Mr. Jeon's office. I went and knocked on Mr.Jeons door even though I thought he would not be present. But I heard him say "Come in".
I went inside with a file in my hand.
Mr. Jeon: Y/n? Why are you early today?
He looked kinda shocked. Well I am also because I am the kind of person who come late rather than early.
Y/n: I woke up early today so I thought of coming early.
I gave out an awkward smile while handing Mr. Jeon his schedule for today.
Y/n: Today's meeting with Mr. Shin is at 2:00pm. After that you are free for today because we completed all the work yesterday.
Mr.Jeon: Okay thank you Y/n. And today you also have only few works.
He handed me some folders and told me to arrange all the pages in order until it's office time.
I went and sat in my desk and started arranging the papers. After a few mins I completed it. Now i have to wait 30 more mins for Irene. WAIT! I can text my Kookie!
I looked at my desk for my phone but I couldn't find it.
Y/n: Oh sh*t don't tell me I left it in the icebergs office!
I cursed at myself still searching my phone in my drawers hoping it would be there.
*Jungkook POV*
I was simply sitting while waiting for the files I had given Y/n when I thought I should probably call her because I can't ask anyone here to bring Y/n as they have not arrived yet.
I dialed her number but I heard a phone ring in my room and in my table. I looked and knew that It was Y/n's. I took it and saw what she had named me. That ame was kinda very familiar to me. But at the correct moment Y/n came knocking at my door.
Jungkook: Come in
I saw her come in and when she saw her phone in my hands she came near my seat to snatch it. But i lifted my hand up making Y/n to fall on me. She was staring at my and her eyes widened. She stood up and made her dress proper. I could see her blush. Blush real hard.
Y/n: I-I came t-to take my phone.
I gave her, her phone back but as soon as she saw that the caller id was me, she was totally shook.
Jungkook: Why is my name "Iceberg"
Y/n: Ah t-that I umm..
Jungkook: You?
Y/n: Its b-because you are always cold.
She said in one go that made me chuckle. She looked at me probably because I chuckled. I really wanted to smile and be good in front of Y/n but I didn't want others to see that. That's why I had to act cold and strict in front of my love. Yes, love. If we have a crush on someone for more that 6 months it's considered as love. Well yes, I am in love with her.
Jungkook: Sit here and give me the file.
I said pointing at the seat in front of me. She sat there looking down and gave me the file.
I was looking at the file when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and saw that Potato had messaged me.
Potato: Kooki-ah why did you wake me up early? Today is really a bad day!!!!
Kookie: what happened princess?
I call her like that whenever she feels sad or unhappy. But when I heard Y/n's phone which was in her hand buzz I got really shocked.
Is Y/n my potato? Yesterday the same happened for more than three times. I was totally confused that I asked Y/n for her Phone.
Jungkook: Y/n can you give me your phone?
Y/n: Huh?
She slowly gave me her phone. I took it and kept it in between both of us so that she can also see. I texted potato.
Kookie: Y/n?
And as I thought, I saw the notification of the same text I sent in her phone pop up with a buzz in her home screen.
I looked at her and she was still in the shock looking at her phone from her seat. For her assurance I showed our chat to her and she slowly looked at it still shocked.
Jungkook: Potato?
She looked at me and mumbled.
Y/n: Kookie?
I stood up and pulled her into a hug. She looked very happy seeing me. Probably because we wanted to meet each other since months but couldn't because of being busy at our Job.
I pulled away from the hug and she was having almost tears in her eyes because of happiness. She covered her mouth with her hands.
Jungkook: So you are my potato? I should've spent some time in finding you!
Y/n: Me too! I can't believe you were my Kookie.
She sat down in her seat and so did I.
Jungkook: Wait- does that mean I was the iceberg who scolded you?
She awkwardly smiled giving me a "probably" look.
Jungkook: That was because you always forgot your work and didn't complete in time.
*Y/n POV*
I was so happy seeing my bff in front of me. But everything vanished from my mind when I remembered that I had confessed to my crush even without me knowing!
I suddenly acted like normal Mr. Jeon - Y/n relationship.
Y/n: Uh uh I guess Irene's calling me. I gotta go Mr. Jeon.
I started walking away when he came to me, caught my wrist with a suspicious look and said.
Jungkook: Irene took a leave for today. Are you trying to run away?
Y/n: Uh uh no!
Jungkook: Then?
I gotta finish my works like...Remind Mr.Shin about the meeting, Discuss the product reviews of Mr. park, Print the agreement paper of our industries.....
I kept on saying some small works while looking and counting on my fingers when I suddenly feel a pair of warm, soft and plump lips on my cheek.
JUNGKOOK KISSED ME.
I turned around and saw him staring at me while cutely smiling.
Y/n: K-kookie did you k-kiss me?
He nodded while smiling. Gotta say this is a rare moment to see Mr.Jeon smile.
Jungkook:oh! You look like a tomato hahahah
He kept on laughing.
Y/n: Yah! Don't tease me!
Jungkook: So you had loved me the whole time? *smirk*
Y/n: What if it's a yes? Are you gonna tease me again?
I said with a cutely serious face, folding my hands.
Jungkook: Why would I tease my Mrs. Jeon?
I was shook hearing his statement.
Y/n: What?
I said in a low voice.
Jungkook: I said, why would I tease my Mrs. Jeon?
He came near me. But that's when I heard a knock on the door. I stood back from him and he opened the door.
One of his staff told him that today's meeting was postponed to be conducted now. The staff walked away and Jungkook closed the door and again came near me.
Jungkook: I'll meet you later baby, byee and love you!
He said before pecking my lips and walking out, leaving me in shock. Does my love, love me?
*Jungkook POV*
Jungkook:And that's how I met your mom.
I ended our story kissing my 4 year old son, Jikook on his cheek, tucking him to bed.
Jikook: Good night appa!
After wishing him good night I went to my bedroom laying next to my wifey.
Y/n: Did Jikook sleep?
Jungkook: Yes.
I pecked my Potato girl on her tummy where my next Junior potato was sleeping inside her. Y/n is 4 months pregnant. I hugged her and slept.
