Chapter 164: Beautiful but empty shell

I forgot to bring my phone. I realized that as soon as I arrived at the office. 

"I left my phone at home." I turned to look at both Jeff and Ed. "Can you please tell Bry so that she wouldn't worry if she can't reach me?"

Jeff nodded and texted Bry, grabbing every chance or any excuse to be able to talk to Bry.

I saw Ed's more serious face after knowing that I don't have my phone with me.

"What's wrong Ed?"

He just shrugged but I know that he is worried about something, I just don't know what.

My day went by just like any other day. I went about my tasks. The management decided that they would just assign us to the writer's department since they needed us more than any other department.

So I became the popular choice as a researcher for most of the writers. I was busier than usual but I noticed that Ericka seemed to be free and was not doing anything.
