Chapter 8: Journal

Day 2

I jolted awake to the sound of my alarm, dreading the intense training that awaited me. As I made my way to the training grounds, I couldn't help but feel intimidated by the other members of the mafia crew. They were all much older and more experienced than I was, but I was determined to prove myself.

The training was grueling and exhausting, but I pushed myself to the limit and managed to finish without passing out. I collapsed on the ground, gasping for air, but a sense of pride filled me knowing that I had made progress.

Day 7.

After a week of intense training, I was finally starting to get the hang of it. The other members of the crew were nice enough to help me out when I was struggling, but I could sense that they were still wary of me. I was the youngest member by far, and it was clear that they didn't think I had what it takes to be a part of their world.

Day 14.

As the days went on, the training only got harder. I started to feel like the captain was out to get me, constantly increasing the difficulty of the exercises. I couldn't help but feel angry and resentful towards him, but I knew that I couldn't let those emotions get in the way of my progress.

Day 30.

As the weeks turned into months, I started to notice changes in my body. My muscles were growing, and I was becoming stronger and more agile with each passing day. The captain finally deemed me ready for my first mission, and I couldn't wait to prove myself in the field.

Day 60.

I had completed my first mission successfully, and it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. But something was off about the other members of the crew. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I sensed a tension in the air that hadn't been there before.

Day 80.

The tension came to a head when Lee and Cho returned from a mission beaten and bruised. They refused to talk about what had happened, but it was clear that something had gone horribly wrong. I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread as I realized that the world of the mafia was much more dangerous than I had ever imagined.

Day 120.

As I continued to train and grow stronger, I couldn't shake the feeling that something big was coming. I knew that I needed to be prepared for whatever lay ahead, but I had no idea what that might be.

Day 180.

The crew was thrown into chaos when a rival gang started causing trouble in our territory. It was up to us to take them down, and I was finally able to prove my worth to the other members of the crew. The battle was intense, but we emerged victorious, and I felt a sense of pride and camaraderie with my fellow mafia members.

Day 220.

We returned from the battle victorious, but the cost was high. Ryu had been badly beaten, and the triplets were bruised and battered. It was a sobering reminder of the risks that came with our line of work.

Day 300.

As I looked back on my time with the mafia crew, I realized how far I had come. I was no longer a scrawny 11-year-old kid, but a strong and capable member of the crew. But I also knew that my journey was far from over, and that there were still challenges ahead that I couldn't even begin to imagine.

Day 320:

Because the captain saw me completing his training with little effort, he finally gave me my first mission. It was to beat up a small gang of thugs who were disturbing people in our turf. I don't know why they were so persistent, since our mafia crew already protected this place. But I don't care about that - as long as I can beat somebody up, I'm satisfied. Oh yeah, it has already been a year since I first got here. Time really flies quickly. That's four more years before the plot, and right now we are all celebrating my birthday. Although it was just a small party, it still felt like family.

Day 321:

I departed from the mansion and started to search for the gang. After searching for about three hours, I finally found them. At first, I just told them to leave this place. But then they started laughing and mocking me because I'm just a kid. Well, I just shrugged and started to beat them up. One of them tried to hit me with a wooden plank, but I just dodged and hit his abdomen. After he dropped his plank, I picked it up. At first, it felt kinda weird, but after a couple of swings, I immediately got it. [Blunt Weapon Mastery]. A smile rose on my face as I started to beat them up with the plank. It was pretty easy; they were just your ordinary thugs who just punched randomly. After I finished, I just left them and went back to the mansion. As I returned, I saw a girl my age looking at me through the window of the mansion. We looked at each other, and then she ran away. I guess that's the boss's daughter.

Day 360:

It was finally over. My training was complete, and now I can use all of my talents to perfection. My body can easily perform the skills that were once difficult. I guess it's all thanks to the captain. Although I still want to fight him, the captain gave me four days to relax before I go to America. He said he's going to treat me. Well, I just bought everything I wanted and needed, which made the captain's monthly salary run out. He glared at me like he wanted to kill me, but I just stuck out my tongue and started to run.

Day 365:

This day was my departure to America. All of the group came to the airport to say goodbye to me, and the boss's right-hand man, John, picked me up. He is originally from America. It was really heartwarming to see all of them waving their hands at me, although people stayed away from them because of their scary looks. It was still heartwarming for me because they always supported me when I couldn't do the training. Then, I waved my hand at them before entering the airport with John.
