Chapter 1: Your God has descended
Death.
What's death?
The beginning of something new or just the end?
Those were my thoughts hundreds of years ago when I first died.
I can't remember the exact time, but it was a long time ago. I was hit by an incoming truck while I was walking across a crosswalk.
But I've to admit that it was my fault, because I hadn't been paying attention to the road because I'd just been fired from my job.
Throughout history, different civilizations have talked about gods and the afterlife. Although these two topics differ, most religions have one thing in common. Whether a person goes to heaven or hell after they die.
That was what I was thinking that cold night. I thought that I'd probably go to heaven and spend the rest of my life there because I was kind, cared about the people around me, helped others, and most importantly I was still a virgin. Not by choice, but still.
But that wasn't the case. When I closed my eyes and my heart beat for the last time, I didn't go to heaven or hell. Instead, I was summoned to a large circular place.
The first thing I noticed when I got there was that when I looked up, I didn't see the sky as it was on earth, but the whole universe.
It was like those photos that the space telescopes take.
It was so surreal.
I could hear voices around me saying, "Why is a kid here?", "What can he possibly do?", and "He's not qualified to become a god."
Become a god? What're they talking about?
I turned my head in their direction to see who these people were, but I couldn't make out their features and was almost blinded by the golden light they were emitting around them.
"Silence!" A voice was heard and everyone stopped talking.
I turned my head in the direction from which the voice came and saw someone with angel wings descending from the sky.
The golden light around this person was even more dazzling compared to the others.
Before I knew it, I was already kneeling before him.
"You'll become a god and watch over the world of Unxia."
"Eh? What'll I become?" I asked, thinking I hadn't heard him correctly.
"You'll become a god. I'll give you the appropriate powers that a god should have. Only when you protect the world and take care of it'll your powers grow. Now go and begin your task." He said and before I could even react, I was teleported into space.
In front of me was a planet that, from my point of view, was similar to Earth. But this planet had two moons revolving around it.
So I chose one of them as my base.
I built a small house there and started growing crops, because I'd nothing else to do and I was bored as fuck.
But that was a long time ago. Hundreds of years have passed since then.
Although all the other gods treated me like a trash because I was the weakest among them, I stayed in my position and repelled many alien attacks on this planet. Not that it was hard, I mean, with one wave of my hand I could wipe out an entire armada of alien spaceships. Once I even almost split one of the moons in half when I tested my power.
But the person from before was right. My powers did indeed grow stronger over time. And since the other gods weren't doing their job, my power had grown beyond theirs.
So there was no reason for me to be afraid.
All this time I was guiding heroes who'd reincarnated or transmigrated into this world, giving them powers that made them superior.
Not that I minded, but they all, without exception, formed a harem.
I was so jealous of them. I watched them for hundreds of years get any girl they liked and have sex with her as much as they wanted.
And I was still a virgin.
After so many years, I couldn't take it anymore, so I decided to descend into that world and live my life to the fullest. Either way, I could protect that world from down there.
But in any case, I've a kind of alarm system in case something happens.
And now I'm finally able to come down to this planet. No one can stop me. I'm going to do what I want, and I'm going to create the biggest harem in the universe.
"You people down there better be careful, because your god is coming." I said joyfully and jumped down from the moon I was on to Unxia.
After about five minutes, I reached the ground and left a huge crater from the impact.
I released my feet from the ground and came out of the crater.
Luckily, I didn't land near a city, or it would have been a bit complicated.
I waved my hand in the air to open my map.
Yes, I'd been planning this move since the first time I saw a hero have a harem.
Therefore, in my case, a map was required.
Although I could just fly and go wherever I want, it's better to act like a normal person in the beginning.
I don't want to scare my future harem away.

"Ah, yes, I am fine, I just got lost. I was looking for a town, but I don't know which direction it is."
"I am also on my way to Yorstar, do you want me to take you with me?"
"I'd be honoured, but is not the distance a bit far?"
"Ah, do not worry, I can get us there in just fifteen minutes with my flying sword."
I could make it in a few milliseconds, but I guess it's not a bad idea to tag along with a girl.
Who knows, maybe she'll become the first member of my harem.
"Okay, I'll go with you. Please take care of me, young miss." I said and made a little bow.
Of course, first impressions count the most. I have to show that I am a dignified person.
"Ah, please drop the formalities, I am not an important person. Just call me Newt."
"Oh, okay then." I said, scratching the back of my head.
Good thing everything's going according to plan.
Newt pulled from her ring a large sword that could easily carry four people.
In all my years of watching this place, I know that only the wealthy can afford a storage ring like that.
So why did this girl say she was not an important person? I thought that the girls here usually like to show off their wealth.
Did I hit a jackpot?
Hmm, I will keep a close eye on this girl. Right now, it looks like she is suitable to join my harem. She is pure, kind and not blinded by her wealth.
I hope she will remain like that in the future.
I saw her get on the sword and wait for me.
I jumped on the sword and tried to hold on.
Although I am a god, I have never ridden on anything like that in my life, so I fell and rolled to the ground many times.
But with my physique, even if a planet crashes into me, I'll get away without a scratch.
Newt was a little worried about me because I had fallen so many times, but I assured her I was fine.
Thus with a little bit of time delay we arrived at Yorstar.
It was one of the largest cities on the planet. The fifth largest, to be exact.
At first I thought I would end up in an old village, but Yorstar is much better.
There are more girls here, hehe.

I mean, I'll be able to gather more information here.
"Here we are." Newt said in her sweet voice.
"Thanks for making the effort, Newt."
"Ah, don't worry, it wasn't any trouble at all. By the way, what's your name?"
Ah, my name, huh? I think I remember it. It was Hi... no, no, it was Ho... ma... Oh, I remembered it.
"I am Homare, nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too." Newt said and we both shook hands.
"I hope to see you soon!" Newt exclaimed as she continued to walk away from me.
Oh, you'll see me again soon enough. You can count on that.
Now then, time to start my new life.
