Chapter 4: 4. Awakening Ceremony part 1

As I stood before the mirror, a sense of wonder washed over me. My eyes, a deep shade of crimson, stared back with a mesmerizing intensity, reflecting the light in the room with a radiant glow. The thick, black locks of hair that framed my face seemed to dance in the gentle breeze, adding to the aura of mystery that surrounded me.

At three years old, I possessed a charm that was beyond my years, an EX+ Rank charm that was evident in the way my smile lit up the room and the way my gaze held a captivating power. Despite my tender age, there was a maturity in my demeanor, a confidence that belied my youth.

With rosy cheeks and a button nose, I couldn't help but admire the beauty that stared back at me from the mirror. My features, delicate yet defined, seemed to exude an otherworldly grace, drawing the eye and captivating the heart.

As I stood there, lost in my reflection, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride welling up within me. I may be young, but I knew that I possessed a charm that was bound to leave a lasting impression on those around me. And with a mischievous twinkle in my ruby-red eyes, I couldn't wait to see what adventures awaited me beyond the confines of my reflection.

My mom entered the room, and the mischievous glint in my eyes disappeared, replaced by an innocent face that could make anyone fall for me.

« - Gosh! My son is really handsome. I just can't get enough of your cuteness! You really are perfect.

- Mom, you're embarrassing me!

- Fufufu, let's prepare ourselves; we have to go to your awakening ceremony. You will do it with Edward, the heir of the Lighthaven family, and the Crown Princess. »

As my mother mentioned who I would pass the awakening ceremony with, I got lost in my thoughts.

The protagonist will be here, but also the Imperial Crown Princess. She was the main villainess in the novel, with me being the final boss. The MC could never win her heart and always forced himself upon her, resulting in her hatred for him.

She never died during the novel, as she was the future Emperor, but she suffered a lot because of the main character. It is said that she was the most beautiful woman in the Empire but also the coldest. She was also the most talented, second only to me, and also as talented as the MC, making her a powerful opponent.

My mom touched me, and I awoke from my reverie. She looked at me worriedly and said:

« - Dear, why did you black out suddenly? You got me really worried for you.

- Sorry, Mommy, I was just curious about the Crown Princess.

- Ohhh, you want to win her heart?

- No! Never, I was just curious because they said she was as talented as the Lighthaven's heir.

- Ahh, well, she is maybe a little less talented than him; we won't know till they awaken their status window, but I'm sure you'll be the most talented.

- Thank you, Mom.

- Oh, sweety, we have to hurry because you are not the only one awakening.

- Okay! »

My mom dressed me up. My outfit consists of a tailored jacket and trousers crafted from fine silk, dyed in deep shades of royal blue and accented with intricate silver embroidery along the seams. The jacket features a high collar adorned with silver filigree, giving me an air of nobility and grace.

Beneath the jacket, I wear a crisp white shirt with delicate lace detailing at the cuffs, adding a touch of elegance to the ensemble. Around my neck, I wear a silver pendant engraved with the crest of the Silvercrest family, symbolizing my lineage and heritage.

Completing the look are a pair of polished black leather boots, embellished with silver buckles and intricate designs along the sides.

As I finish preparing myself, we embark in a luxurious car and make our way to the main temple.

As I stepped through the towering gates of the temple, a sense of reverence washed over me. The air was thick with the scent of incense and the distant hum of machinery, blending together in an otherworldly symphony that seemed to echo through the ancient halls.

Before me stretched a vast courtyard, paved with smooth marble tiles that gleamed in the soft light filtering through stained glass windows high above. Pillars carved with intricate symbols rose to meet the vaulted ceiling, casting long shadows that danced across the floor with each flicker of the torches lining the walls.

At the center of the courtyard stood the temple itself, a masterpiece of architectural brilliance and technological innovation. Its walls were adorned with mosaics depicting scenes from ancient myths and legends, each tile shimmering with a life of its own under the glow of enchanted lanterns.

As I made my way through the courtyard, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the grandeur of my surroundings. Every detail, from the ornate carvings adorning the doorways to the delicate filigree of the wrought iron railings, spoke of centuries of craftsmanship and dedication to the divine.

Inside the temple, the air was cool and still, the only sound the soft rustle of robes as worshippers knelt in prayer before altars adorned with offerings of flowers and incense. Shafts of light filtered through the stained glass windows, casting vibrant patterns of color across the polished marble floors.

In the heart of the temple stood the altar, a massive structure of gleaming silver and gold that seemed to radiate with an inner light. At its center burned a sacred flame, flickering with a warmth that seemed to reach out and touch the souls of all who beheld it.

As I approached the altar, a sense of anticipation filled me and even knowing the results, I couldn't help but be curious about which constellation will choose me.

As I surveyed the room, my gaze fell upon two children that I immediately recognized because of the description in the novel, a boy and a girl. The boy, Edward Lighthaven, exuded an air of confidence that bordered on arrogance. With his blond hair tousled and his golden eyes sparkling with self-assurance, he stood tall and proud, a picture of youthful bravado.

Beside him stood the imperial crown princess, Diane Dragonheart, a vision of ethereal beauty. Her blue eyes gleamed like diamonds amidst a sea of faces, while her white hair cascaded around her shoulders like a veil of snow. I approached the crown Princess and bowed, saying:

« - Cassius Von Silvercrest greets the little sun of the Empire.

- Please stand up, Cassius; you wouldn't want to make me embarrassed. »

I looked at her and stood up, I was surprised by the way she talked as she was only 3 years old.

« - You must be excited to unlock your status window because if you got a great potential and great starting stats, you'll become more powerful in the future.

- Yes, I am excited and you?

- Yes. »

Suddenly Edward came and said:

« - Good morning, Crown Princess; I am sure to have the best talent here. » He said it in an arrogant tone, and the Princess didn't even answer him. I was feeling awkward, so I excused myself and waited for my turn.

A priest entered and presented himself quickly with the constellation he served. He then started calling kids. The first one came next to the altar and the flame and touched it; his stats were moderate, and his potential was B+. He had a good future before him.

It continued until only Edward, Diane, and I lasted. The majority of the kids had potential going from C Rank with the best being the first one. Diane started and went to the altar; she touched it, and suddenly the air became cold, everything freezes, and lightning bolts with immense destruction power appeared. After this phenomenon, everyone could sense a celestial presence coming.

The Princess looked at something we couldn't see, and suddenly she bowed and said:

« - Diane Dragonheart greets the primordial god of magic, Odin.

- I, Odin, accept your greeting, young lad. I offer you the position of my avatar; do you accept?

- I, Diane Dragonheart, accept. »

Then the immense pressure went, and her status screen was shown:
