Calix moved one chair away before pushing Leslie closer to the table. Old Madam Xu swiftly approached them after washing her hands. Her wrinkly face beamed with a delightful glow.

Old Madam Xu didn't expect to see her grandson and grandaughter-in-law again this soon. They had just gathered for a family meal two nights ago.

"Did you two enjoy your getaway yesterday?" asked Old Madam Xu, recalling Calix's plan to bring Leslie out of the city, "Where did you go? You haven't shared with us ah."

Old Madam Xu and Harper had been waiting for updates from Calix in their family chatroom. The two ladies were eager to know where and what the spouses did during the young man's birthday.
