Chapter 3: Hospital

I wake up with the bad feeling getting worse. I become worried, but still stick with my routine. I don't eat a lot of breakfast because I'm worried. I run 30 minutes over my usually time when I do my morning run to relieve some of the tension.

I go to the hospital and I notice there is a new coma patient. Oh my, it is the deputy sheriff, Rick Grimes. I ask the nurse that is tending to him, what happened. "What happened to deputy Rick Grimes?" I ask. "He was shot by a person they didn't know was in the car after the car chase." The nurse told me.

"Oh my." I say. I don't know what to say after that. I decided to visit and help him and his family. I walk to his room and introduce myself to Lori, his wife. "Hi, I'm Winter a volunteer here at the hospital and wondered if you needed anything?" I say. "No I don't need anything, I just want him to wake up." Lori tells me. I say ok and leave as I am needed elsewhere.

After that, I become closer with Lori and Carl. When I have time left before visiting hours are over I visit Rick even though he is in a coma. The reason is because when Lori stopped coming to visit him as long as she used to. During the times I visited Rick I would introduce myself and tell him what has been happening so far in the news. I would also tell him my bad feeling that has been getting worse everyday after first hearing about the virus.

I went home and started the new routine again until that feeling became unbearable one day.
