Chapter 83: Maybe Someday

Peter appeared to be at a loss. It took him a minute to gather his bearings enough to speak. "I'm sure you'll find someone someday. She wouldn't want you to be alone."

No, Tessa wouldn't. But how could Bryce force himself to be with someone that wasn't her? He would never feel the same intensity, vitality, and happiness that he did with her with anyone else. Tessa O'Brien was one in a billion. 

"No one else could ever compare to her though," he said miserably. "She was like a shooting star in my life. Brightening it in a blaze of glory before quickly disappearing. And I really thought we would be together forever too. Without her…I feel like everything that made me who I am is gone." 

"…that's the most poetic thing I've ever heard you say."
