Chapter 13: peaceful stroll
The sun had just risen the wasteland started getting warmer and Dan had just left the settlement to go towards novac. he knew he had to move fast, there was no telling how long this vance would be staying in novac so Dan headed down the highway towards novac
most of the trip was quiet a few scorpions around the road but it was quite peaceful. After a whole 5 hours of walking Dan was getting tired and the scorching Nevada sun wasn't doing him any favors so as soon as he saw an abandoned building so he decided to go in and relax for a bit. as soon as Dan opened the door a ghoul noticed Dan and charged him but a well place stab took him out in an instant the building was dirty and had a wierd smell to it but it was much cooler in the building so Dan decided to settle down for a bit eat drink and go back onto the road and that's what he did
But half an hour later few seconds of of gunfire that immediately went silent nearby caught his attention going outside he saw a few dead ncr troops being stripped by three legionaries that are beginning to put on the ncr uniform one of them suddenly pointed at Dan and yelled at his teammates
they all dropped what they were doing and ran towards Dan two of them ran at Dan with machetes the third one took out a trail carbine and began to shoot at him Dan managed to Dodge the bullets but in the meantime he the other two legionaries had enough time to get close enough to fight him
The legionaries swung the machetes quickly Dan was barely able to doge the blades but while distracted the third legionarie was able to land a shot in his right leg ripping open a large hole in the leg
Dan was thrown off balance by the jolt of pain and the inertia of the bullet giving enough time for the other two to slash at him the Dan jumped at the side dodging the first machete pulling his pistol out and punching a hole through the legionaries Arm making him drop to the ground writhe in pain meanwhile the second one managed to land a big slash on dans back doing critical damage
causing a notification to pup up in dans vision

Suddenly Dan's arm became a large weapon Dan suddenly knew what to do he aimed at the machete wielding legionarie and shot a powerful green laser blast completely destroying the head
The third legionarie finally finished reloading as Dan aimed at him he shot the bullet that whizzed towards Dan's head but a laser beam colided with it melting it completely and killing the legionarie and shooting the last one that was still on the ground

Dan quickly injected a few stimpacks to stop the bleeding and took some healing powder he took of the legionaries as well the wound was not completely healed but the hp had gone up to 50% Dan went over to get the carbine but sadly it was melted to pieces and unusable
