Chapter 140: Spelled

"Okay," Mark said, pulling up the chair to the cell. "You have a choice, Cathy, and this is your last chance. You either take the cure or we take you down."

"No, I have a third choice," Cathy said, folding her arms across her chest.

Mark smiled, tilting his head to the side. "And what's that?"

Cathy shrugged. "I could always break out."

Mark's smile faded as he narrowed his eyes. "Then we will be forced to take you down on sight, whether you're in your werewolf form or your human form."

"We shall see," Cathy said, smiling as she sat back.

Suddenly, there was a scuffle upstairs and a huge thud as the ceiling downstairs rattled.

"Carl!" I yelled, running toward the stairwell when the door suddenly flew open, hitting the wall.

Crystal was standing at the top of the stairs and she pushed her arms forward and I went flying back against the wall, along with everyone else in the room.
