Chapter 2: Fixing Worlds For Noobs
After spending a few hours reading, Shi Ye finally finished "Fixing Worlds for Noobs". (The hell is wrong with this guy!?!? He expects me to fix worlds but there are literally over one billion known worlds???)
Apparently, the place all of these worlds are located in is called the Grand Dimension, with each world being fundamentally different from the rest. Some can be like the cultivation worlds that Shi Ye has occasionally read about, while others can be like magical worlds that contain mages and magic or highly futuristic worlds. There were even some worlds with Gund*ms! The point was with that with the number of worlds numbering over one billion, there will definitely be more than one million worlds that would need to be fixed...With that many worlds that need to be fixed, who knew how many Shi Ye had to fix before Infinite Pillar was able to send him back to his original world.
As Shi Ye realized the dreadfulness of this thought, he yelled "Infinite Pillar! Come out! Let us have a talk about life!". He was seriously going to have to ask this person how the hell he was supposed to do his job.
Soon a response came.「 The person whom you wish to talk to is currently unavailable. He has left a few things for you, Mr.Ye, do you wish to claim them?」
"..." 'Unavailable my ass! You were clearly talking to me a few minutes ago!' Shi Ye cursed in his mind.
"I accept them", he said.
Although Shi Ye didn't have a good feeling about these "items" that Infinite Pillar left for him, he hoped that they would be of more help to him than Infinite Pillar.
「The following items you have claimed are the World Fixing Cultivation Starter Pack, a fateful encounter scroll, and one redeemable heaven-defying cheat ticket.」 Soon after this was said, three items fell beside Shi Ye's feet.
(Hey...hey... Infinite Pillar... what in the world were you thinking when you gave me this stuff???). Shi Ye felt like he would never understand this person's thought process. Examining the three items he was given, Shi Ye decided that the starter pack may have the answers to his questions. "Well...I might as well check what these items are, the World Fixing Cultivation Starter Pack seems rather interesting", said Shi Ye as he reached out to grab the starter pack. The starter pack was just a single scroll wrapped in blue cloth, the moment Shi Ye began to open the scroll, it suddenly disappeared and a mind-breaking amount of information appeared inside Shi Ye's mind.
At first, Shi Ye felt pleasantly surprised by how the scroll was able to transfer information to his mind in a single second until he then recalled the hours he had wasted reading the "Fixing Worlds for Noobs" book Infinite Pillar first sent him. 'If you could give me something that does this then why the hell did you make me waste 6 hours of my life reading your book?'
"This troll...Infinite Pillar... he is definitely doing this to me on purpose...I swear the next time I see him I will give him a beating...", muttered Shi Ye. 'Well, at least he was kind enough to give me this starter pack' thought Shi Ye. He then went over the cultivation methods and information given to him in the starter pack.
According to the first bit of information, Shi Ye read, the world he was in right now was called the Nine Stars Continent and that cultivators used something called "celestial energy" to cultivate. The cultivation levels of this world were separated into 10 different stages with each category having 10 smaller levels. The first cultivation stage in this world was called Celestial Aura, where cultivators took in the celestial energy to temper their bodies and create their own celestial aura, as the name of the cultivation stage may say.
After studying the information on the Celestial Aura stage for a while, Shi Ye began with the most basic of the methods given in the starter pack, the World Fixing Cultivation Technique. He knew it was what would help him in his first step into cultivation in the Nine Stars Continent. Although he did not know how great his cultivation speed would be, he had confidence that Infinite Pillar would not troll him that hard to the point of giving him a terrible aptitude, therefore, he began to try to sense the celestial energy of the world. According to the World Fixing Cultivation Technique, Shi Ye was to first to draw in celestial energy from his surroundings, into his meridians, circulating it once then bringing it into his Dantian.
Barely contain his anxiety and excitement, Shi Ye began to try to sense the celestial energy in the air. Sure enough, Shi Ye was able to sense celestial energy on his first attempt. 'So far so good, now I have to bring it inside my Dantian'. He then proceeded to draw in spiritual energy from his pores into his meridians and began to circulate it. While he was circulating the celestial energy throughout his body, Shi Ye could feel his muscles and bones growing stronger as some of the energy fused into his body and finally he led the remaining energy into his Dantian. After only cultivating for an hour, Shi Ye had already reached the second level of Celestial Aura. Opening his eyes, Shi Ye stood up and began to breathe in some fresh air. Along with becoming stronger, Shi Ye could feel that the impurities his body has accumulated throughout his life had been purified.
"Hmm...I never thought cultivating would be this easy...", said Shi Ye, amazed by his cultivation speed, "this is most likely because of Infinite Pillar though...". Shi Ye remembered being inspired by the books he read as a child, he had always dreamt of becoming a cultivator. It wasn't until he was 16 that he realized that his dream was only a foolish desire. However, now because of him being transported by Infinite Pillar, Shi Ye could fulfill the dream he once had. 'I guess being transported here was as bad as I thought after all', Shi Ye thought. He now felt some gratitude towards Infinite Pillar.
'My next course of action should be getting out of this forest', Shi Ye thought. However, soon after that thought, Shi Ye realized, 'the hell? Where am I suppose to even go?".
Thus, although it wasn't the wisest of choices, Shi Ye decided to aimlessly wander the forest in hopes he can find an exit. Unfortunately, while trying to find this exit, Shi Ye encountered many killer plants and high ranked celestial beasts every few minutes, forcing him to either run or hide everytime he finds one. At this point, the gratitude he had for Infinite Pillar had already crumbled.
- 2 Hours of Desperate Searching Later -
Shi Ye, pushing aside leaves and walking through brushes, was wondering if he would ever make it outside this forest. Due to his constant running, he had various bruises and wounds on his body. 'How big is this forest??? I've been walking for more than an hour already and I still can't see my way out of here...'
Lamenting his current situation, Shi Ye decided to pause his search for an exit. With his mind and body on the brink of collapsing, he said "I've been walking for quite some time now. I should take a rest." Indeed, Shi Ye was so tired that he went out of character and created a monologue.
Sitting down to cultivate, Shi Ye decided that he would try to break through to the 5th level of Celestial Aura before trying to find a way out of the forest again. Beginning to take in celestial energy and circulating it into his meridians and dantian, Shi Ye fell into a state of concentration, only thinking about breaking through and finding a way to escape.
As Shi Ye was cultivating, a still, faint voice can be heard.
「 Warning: The premium item "Fateful Encounter Scroll" is close to expiration.」
「Now automatically activating the item in 5...4...3...2...1」
「Activation of "Fateful Encounter Scroll has been complete」

LasPendragon Hurrah! Chapter 2 is here! I seriously took three days just to write this...I hope my writing speed gets faster... On a side note, I want to see what the opinions you guys have so far of World Fixing Student. Are there any spelling errors? Any plot holes you feel like I should patch up? I would highly appreciate your opinions and suggestions!
