Chapter 21: Siege of Mogilev 2.5 ( Side Chapter)
HOURS LATER~
Mogilev under the Night of roaring engines, and the whistles of the bullets.
Anna and her platoon are currently resting inside the houses that they were able to occupy from the time being. The advances of the 215th Infantry division, and the 8th Panzer Division was a success.
"We've softened the Defenses of Mogilev, it's just a matter of time before we can occupy this city." Anna who is currently sitting down in a chair, while William is beside her who is also sitting down in a wooden chair, while the rest of the platoon are on a couch lying down in pain.
Some of the wounds they received are from the rubbles coming down on them, and scraping their face which bruises them in the process.
Manfred, Peter, and Ingrid are currently on the floor while playing cards that they found inside the house, and they were using the items inside the house as their currency.
While Karin and Urusula are currently sleeping on the couch, they were exhausted as the fatigue had already caught up to them.
"Seeing our platoon lively like this feels refreshing don't you think?" William uttered, while he was cleaning his Kar98k, while Anna on the other hand was also cleaning her weapon, and she was holding a P-38 luger.
"It kinda is, rather than trembling in fear. We are still lively and coping with our own actions to just smile and have fun until our last day." Anna answered while smiling, and her face was a bit red. You could see her temperature slowly rising up.
"It seems your temperature has risen up." William reached out his arm towards Anna's neck and even her forehead, and she was slowly heating up for the time being.
"I'll get some towels." William stood up, and went towards the kitchen to find some towels.
"Haha! I won!" Ingrid shows a two piece of card with 10 of ace, and 10 of spades resulting in 20.
"Ah you must be cheating you bitch!" Peter is once more peeveed by Ingrid's behavior.
"Stop trying to piss off Peter now, Ingrid." This time it was Manfred.
"Don't care, he still ticked off just because I won fair." Ingrid with a smug look on her face when she said those, Peter was about to pounce on her due to her annoying attitude.
Manfred just sighs in despair, while she looks at Karin and Ursula who are sleeping, and he sees William going towards a kitchen, while Anna on the other hand is currently in the wooden chair while she laid her head on the table.
William then comes back with a wet towel on his hand, he goes towards Anna who is on the table, and he placed it upon her forehead to cool her down for the time being.
"Are we sure that those two aren't really together… like you know?" Ingrid made a gesture with her fingers that means that are they a couple or not.
"I believe they aren't together-together on what you mean, but rather I would see it as a mutual feeling between the two, a barrier that mustn't be broken." Manfred according to his speculation.
"Nope… I could totally see the two of them together." They were watching both of them.
William and Anna are very close, but sometimes those feelings are closed due to the war that is happening in front of them, and not only that. They are inside the enemy's territory, they might have captured 54% of Mogilev but that doesn't mean they would need to let their guard down.
William pressed the wet towel on Anna's forehead, as she was slowly heating up even further.
"Hmm, it's getting quite worse."
"I am fine…" she weakly said, which he wasn't convinced.
"Yeah no, I'm placing you on a bed." William grabs Anna around her body and under her knee, she can't even push him away due to her strength is fading away and currently weak at the moment.
"Manfred, Peter and Ingrid, I'll be leaving the three of you as the watch guards for the time being, try and get some sleep while switching." William declared the order as the Vice squad leader, as Anna is currently unavailable to command an order or even think properly.
"Ja!" The three of them saluted, as William carried Anna through a bedroom that was unoccupied.
"You think what I am thinking?" Ingrid is thinking something degenerate, while Peter also agreed, while Manfred on the other hand is the innocent one.
"What do you mean by that?" Manfred asks, while Ingrid and Peter just laugh at Manfred's lack of imagination when it comes to relationships.
"You'll learn it eventually." Peter just taps the shoulder of Manfred.
"Yep!" Ingrid added, as the two aren't always on the same side, but this is the only time they managed to be on the same side.
"I'm now genuinely confused." Manfred was indeed confused for the night.
Inside the bedroom, you could see William placing Anna in the bed, as the mattress is slowly flatten when he puts her in the bed.
William fixes the pillow around Anna, and this time William goes around the house and finds a bucket or any container that would fit the right amount of water, he then fills the container with water, and comes back to Anna's room.
"Yeah you're sweating a lot." William saw Anna sweating a lot, as her uniform slowly darkened even further as her sweat was covering her uniform.
"I can take this!" She just raised her arm and turned it into a fist, but she let it down for the time being.
"Yes you can, now this may sound rude Gruppenführer, permission to take care of you for the time being?" He asked in a formal manner.
While Anna just nodded.
William then helps Anna to stand for the time being, but she is still currently on the bed sitting down. William then turns her body to face a wall, William couldn't see her front body anymore, but he needs to undress Anna for the time being and wipes the sweat around her body.
"I can do it." Anna answered, while she undressed her uniform revealing her undergarments.
She removed her uniform through her shoulders down to her waist, which revealed so many wounds around her waist and also around her shoulders.
William began to take care of Anna for the time being, as he wiped the sweat off Anna's body.
Today is a full moon, as for tomorrow is the start of another battle.

Unhinged It's been a year since I was able to update this Story. Forgive me, as I am busy with college and also other stuff from school, as my time for writing is just been hectic but don't worry I'm still alive, and I will do my best to keep uploading a chapter.
