Ye Han returned back to the restaurant after the speech with the followers of Yong Wei. He and Yong Wei were drinking and Ye Han said "I will come tomorrow and look at everyone who have decided to follow me. You can also try and recruit people tomorrow. Remember that we need loyal members than strong ones. With the cultivation techniques I have, anyone can grow in strength."
"I understand, I will see if there are anyone else who can be of help to us." Yong Wei said. Ye Han then handed Yong Wei the list of businesses in the city that are about to close and a million demon spirit coins.
He had shortlisted them and selected all the businesses whose owners had a lot of connections before they went broke.
Ye Han said "I want you to take over all these businesses and start managing them. I can't bring out a lot of money from the family treasury constantly. So, I need you guys to start earning money on your own."
Yong Wei nodded and accepted the papers, passing them onto his assistant. Ye Han continued "I also want you guys to start investigating about the Star restaurant, but be careful. Just keep sending random followers regularly."
"Now that master has mentioned about the Star restaurant, I remembered the thing master asked us to investigate. The man your maid, Gui Ling, was with, he died today at noon.
His name is Yan Fui, the son of a famous merchant in the city. I guess she really is related to the Sacred family, as this man Yan Fei had an incident with an elder of the Sacred family." Yong Wei said.
"I could already tell that. Good job finding this out. I have to return back to my house. Remember the things I asked you to do. Look for more men, take over those businesses, and reduce your activities." Ye Han said.
Yong Wei stopped Ye Han and asked "Master, if we reduce our activities, wouldn't that make us suspicious to any of your enemies, as many people have seen you come here."
Ye Han smiled and said "When you reduce your activities, they will think that you mobilised a lot of people for other matters. You need those many people only when nobles and the rich people are involved. So, they will be careful with their actions and I don't have to worry about every small enemy."
Ye Han then returned to his room and when he entered his room, he saw Gui Ling waiting for him. Ye Han asked "What are you doing here?"
She had teary eyes and when she saw Ye Han, she immediately got up, caught his collar and shouted "I have done everything you asked and never talked to anyone about what you were doing. Why did you kill him?"
She caught his collar and shook him vigorously while asking "Why did you kill him? Why did you kill him?"
Ye Han could read her thoughts and she was thinking "That that brat. What are you going to do now? You took a large amount of money and have visited the information broker more than three times. You also foolishly asked around about that idiot Yan Fui when you first saw us together. You also have a bodyguard following you constantly.
If that old man Ye Mo hears about this, you will definitely be kicked out of the house and I will be rewarded with Legend-grade artifacts which will help me kill that bastard Gui Sha."
Ye Han smiled and said "Well, I wanted what was best for you and investigated about him. I got to know that he had an incident with the Sacred family and was also frequently going to the Star restaurant, which is owned by Yun Hua and is under the Sacred family. Although I investigated about him, I really didn't kill him."
This information was enough to shut her mouth. She immediately lost strength in her arms and looked at Ye Han, who sounded like he was feeling sad for Gui Ling, but was smiling at her with a wide grin.
He caught her waist and pulled her closer. He whispered in her ear "I know what you are thinking right now. I will answer all your questions tomorrow and I will also help you kill Gui Sha if you keep quiet till tomorrow and listen to what I have to say."
He then hugged her and said "I know it is hard on you right now. I will definitely help you find who killed your lover." patting her back.
He then let go of her and she was in complete shock as she walked back to her room. Ye Han could guess what she was thinking "I have been exposed. I have to run from here, but if I run now, it would make me more suspicious and make the Snow Wind Family target the Star restaurant. When the dark guild is exposed, I will definitely get killed even after escaping. I want to kill that brat."
Without any other options, she decided to silently sleep in her room. Now that Ye Han had released the information that her 'lover' was actually involved with the Sacred family, it would only make her suspicious if she left the place.
While Gui Ling was struggling to sleep, Ye Han was sleeping peacefully, as everything was going according to his plan. While this was happening, in the Star restaurant, the place managed by the dark guild, people gathered near a table.
Everyone there wore cloaks and there was a man with yellow hair. He looked at everyone and said "We are tasked with dealing with the new young lord of the Snow Wind Family, who has tremendous potential and will be a threat to us in the future.
He might even become the next City lord and it isn't what we desire. We already have one of our members in the Snow Wind Family and we just have to wait for her to come up with some way to deal with him."
Then one member near him asked "Deacon leader, do we really have to go through all this just for someone who joined the Dark guild two months ago?"
"What do you mean?" the blonde haired asked. He replied "Can't we just occupy this city with the help of the leader, second in command Long Sha and the Law enforcement elder Gui Sha? Why should we listen to this Shen Hong, who is only at the Gold-Rank?"
"I know what you are thinking and I also can't understand why they thought of this, but I am sure they have a pretty good reason." the blonde haired man said and the announced "From now, 80% of our men will keep an eye on Ye Han and investigate every moment of his life."
They then dispersed and went to their usual tasks. The next day, Ye Han asked his maid Gui Ling to visit his room.
When she entered the room, Ye Han said "Shut the door and cast a silence ruin in the room, unless you want my bodyguard to report everything happening in the room."
Gui Ling brought out her spatial ring and removed a scroll from it. She opened it and channeled her soul force through it. Letters on the scroll lit up and started floating. They covered the interior of the room and made an invisible dome.
"Before you think of killing me now that my bodyguard can't kill me, I will have to remind you that you will also die if they find no activity in the room for more than 20 minutes and come to see what happened." Ye Han reminded her and she replied "You brat, do you really view me as some senseless fool."
"Wow, what a change of tone. It means you want to get straight to the important stuff. Ask what you want to ask. After I answer them, I will propose a deal that will benefit both of us." Ye Han said.
Gui Ling asked "First tell me how you found out about me and how much do you know?"
"I know enough to get you, the Sacred family and the Dark guild into trouble." Ye Han said and it wasn't the answer she was looking for. Knowing that she won't get much info about that. she went onto the next question.
"What do you want from me and what is purpose in not telling your family about us?" she asked.
"This question, it would be better if I answer this at the end. Do you have any more questions?" Ye Han asked.
"Ok, tell me how you got to know that I want to kill Gui Sha?" she asked and Ye Han smile when he heard the answer.
He said "I have my ways and I have informants in many places, in and out of the city. I just know that you want to kill her. If you tell me the whole story, I can conclude as to whether I can help you or not."
She smirked and said in a mocking tone "You want to help me? I am not in such a pathetic state to take help from a 12 year old kid. What can you help me in?"
Ye Han said "I will assume that you don't have any more questions. I will now answer this question and the one from before.
My purpose of not exposing you, is to have a spy in the Dark guild. I can always sense hostility when you talk about the guild. So, I can help you with whatever you want and you help me delay the attack from the rest of the dark guild.
You can get resources for cultivation and I can also teach you."
Gui Ling looked at him and knowing that he is an important figure in the Snow Wind Family, she was starting to consider his offer.
She looked at him and asked "How can I trust you? If anything goes wrong, I will be killed without a second thought."
"You will have the same protection I have, as you will always be beside me. As for when you are away from me, I can get some men to protect you." Ye Han said.
"What's the catch here? I know you don't have anything that assures your safety." She asked and Ye Han replied "You have the slave seal of the dark guild right? I can modify it to change the master. Your life will be in my hands."
"You brat, you want me to become your slave?" she shouted and Ye Han said "It's not like you have a choice. You refuse, you die. You kill me, you die. You run away, you die. Anything you do will get you killed. It is better to bet everything on me than throw away your life."
Gui Ling clenched her fists and glared at Ye Han. She wanted to punch him in the face. but she also knew what he said was true. She said "Fine, I agree to your terms. There are a few things I will still refuse to do though. Among many things, forcing me to love you or anything of that sorts is forbidden."
"Don't worry about stuff like that. I am only physically attracted to women due to my gender and the hormones. As for love and shit, I have already experienced everything there is in love and had a hard time getting over it. So, other than getting attracted to your beautiful body, nothing else is going to happen." Ye Han said and she looked at him. She said "You kid, you have just entered the age of marriage and you talk as if you have already seen everything life has to offer."
"Ok, enough stupid stuff. Now, explain in detail as to what you want help with." Ye Han asked and Gui Ling glared up again, thinking of the past.
Before she started explaining, she asked "Are you aware of the secret technique of the Demon lord, the leader of the Dark guild?"
Ye Han nodded his head and Gui Ling continued "There is a man named Gui Sha, who is the Law enforcement elder of the Dark guild. He uses the Spiritual Constellation technique in search for a good martial body like the Demon lord.
When I was a kid, he came to our home and noticed that my brother had a very good martial body. So, he killed my parents and right in front of my eyes, he was reborn as my brother. I want to kill that man for what he has done to my baby brother, who couldn't even talk.
He knew all about me and even decided to keep me with him as a family. He changed my name to Gui Ling and is making me do horrible stuff. That arrogant bastard knows that I want to kill him."
