Chapter 3: I Got A Broken System (2)
After a while...
'Fuck this…' What we are talking about is a system. I didn't expect there's a broken system out there. Not to mention, as unlucky as I am, I am the one who got it.
'On another side, at least, it gave me the information about how I got to this place! ' I nod my head slightly. I try my best to comfort myself. 'So, the Dark God used a rune to summon me!' I said.
Subconsciously, I get distracted once again.
'It's a pity, but at the same time not, that he died' I pity him because a false belief of humans killed him. But at the same time not, because if he's still alive, I don't think I will be as free as I am now. 'As the system says, he wants to summon a soul to create a weapon!' For a few seconds, I don't know what to feel for him.
Humans always think that darkness is the rival of humans. All humans are looking at darkness like looking at demons; which is the main reason why darkness really is turning its back towards humans. Not because they want to become a villain, but because they have no other choice if they want to save their life.
For example, think about the Dark God. I can't say that he was a bad person. There is a big chance that what turned him into a villain was the humans' belief. He didn't get born as a villain; they created him into a villain; society.
Everyone has to understand that Dark Power can't represent someone's personality.
Not because someone has the power of darkness, it means that someone is a demon. That also implies to those light element users; not all with the ability of light are angels.
Everything depends on how someone takes things, their decisions, and actions.
'Anyway, forget about this Dark God. After all, I know nothing about him and the issue he got into!' Remembering that this world has magic and cultivation exists, everything about the issue becomes more and more complicated as I dig through it. 'Was it really just as normal as Humans having hatred for the dark or was it a scheme of someone else to annihilate him?' There is nothing to be sure of in this life. A world with power is messy, and nothing is easy to understand.
Sigh*
I shake my head, helpless; ' I also have my problem. Why am I thinking about others' issues?!' I subconsciously waste time from overthinking.
'Oh. Yap. That's it! ' I suddenly realized something. 'My system is broken! ' I am about to touch my chin when I remember I didn't have an arm. 'What a headache! ' I say in frustration. 'Why do problems keep popping up like shit one by one?! ' I said again.
Just a while ago, the problem was where I am, then my form, then I found out that I became a parasite, and now... 'Argh' My head and my heart feels like getting pierced by a sword.
'Did I destroy a world in my previous - previous life and this is my retribution?!' I wish heaven could answer me. But that's impossible. 'I don't know what to do anymore.' My scalp feels itchy just thinking about these problems. I can't scratch it though.
'Wait ~' A smile breaks on my lips as I remember something delightful. I think the system said I could now give my own quest? I heard the system said those words, yet not too sure because I was distracted by some issue a while ago. 'Let me see...' I turn my attention back to the system's screen. 'Wow,' My lips create an oval shape as I wow, but then laugh; 'Hahaha! '
'It seems everything is not that bad.' I analyze. 'System, show me the quest panel! ' I command afterward.

Compared to before, when I was talking and commanding the system, everything feels smoother now. Within just a matter of seconds, the window appears, and no more speech from the system sounds.
My eyes don't even want to leave the window even after reading the messages. Afraid that it would change at any moment. So far, the words 'please create your own quest' are the best message I have ever read.
'With this malfunction of the system, I could create a quest of my own accord and receive rewards even with simple tasks, no?'
'My system turned out to be promising and generous. Hahaha'
It couldn't give a quest, yet it could give a reward. Not only that, I am free to do the quest on my own. 'What a godly system.' I say. 'Could a mere walking task give me rewards?' An evil idea pops in my mind.
A smirk forms on my face as I think about how to resolve my secret vengeance; 'I should rip off this system! It is the consequence of turning me into a parasite and taking my rod off.'

If I could, I want to ask other system users; 'Is there anyone who has a system that is as generous as my system?'
I know my system is different since it appeared. (Author: Meh) Not as cold and robotic as it could even cuss. Not only that, but it also has the most promising feature; it couldn't force me to do work because the quest needs to be generated by me, the host, and not the system.
Just like that, I solve a major problem.

After a lot of time of silence, I eventually got an idea of what to do.
With my current form, I don't have many ideas about what I could do or what I should put as a quest; to check if I truly could give myself a quest and get rewards after I complete it.
I'm already there that the system can't lie to me, however, thinking that it even got broken, doesn't that also mean that nothing is impossible?
To make sure that it is a hundred percent accurate, it is better to check it as soon as possible.
Fortunately, I am not an idiot enough to get nothing after a few minutes.
"System, I have a quest to release," I say, expectant.
[The system is listening, please state your words...] The system speaks not long after I said the words' quest and release: which make me over joy in my heart. 'If I have a heart'
"I want you to log this quest, please listen" I stop and highlight the next words; "Move forward!"
This is just an inside joke. I am not sure if the system could or would take it as a quest. Whatever side you look at it, it is honestly the silliest quest the system may ever hear or ever would accept as a quest.
But, the system replied; [Zzz... New Quest has been released; Move Forward... Reward: Random.
Description: The Host gets a new body with many complications. How would the host survive in this new world full of a mess if he can't even learn how to move?]
'What the hell? It worked?!' I almost spit a mouthful of saliva as I ask. However, the shock didn't linger for too long and changed into laughter. 'Tehe...'
Having known that this kind of quest could work, I say; 'This is only my first move! ' Evil ideas popped in my mind one by one.
Just thinking of having the capability to give a quest on my own and the system will reward me whatever quest or how silly the quests are, it is making me eager to try more. 'My hand feels so itchy. '
With this, my idea to become the most powerful in this world will be fastened. Faster than I speculated! I am happy deep inside.

Nevertheless, before I forget, I still have to do the silly quest before paying attention to another one.
I don't need to think too much about what to do to be able to move forward.
Although I don't have a leg or hand to support me to walk, I could just hop forward, right? The quest said, move forward, so, I guess hopping forward also works.
I close my eyes and meditate, only by concentrating could I achieve things easier: this was what I learned in life as an individual who can't expect anything from others other than myself.
Without a hand and leg, the difficulty of moving forward is a hard mode. And to make things worse, I just turned into something like this barely a while ago.
I take a deep breath and calm myself first. After my cells and my mind eventually connect with every part of my body, only then I control my weight and bring myself in the air. I try to jump forward.

I feel my body lift away from the ground, but within the next second, I touch the ground again. I take another deep breath before I slowly open my eyes. 'I did it! ' I say inwardly. I really moved from my former position. 'Haha! '
What's funny is...
The distance is not even one inch away from my former position.
But, the task clearly stated that I need to move forward, and no other requirements I have to fulfill.
It should be considered a success!
Of course, the system didn't disappoint me. Not long after, a message pops in front of me and as expected it is a success, [Congratulations to the host for completing the Quest: Move Forward. Rank: F. Rate of Success: 50% (barely pass). Reward: Random]
As I read the content of the message, especially the success rate, I frickin feel humiliated for some reason.
With a bitter smile, I can only accept this result, as there is no use in regretting it, as always.
With another command, the system releases the reward box in front of me, and like before, I click the recent message.

'Mmm? ' I felt confused again 'F level?'
This is the first time I hear that the skills have levels. The skills I earned a while ago from the novice prize mentioned nothing about levels.
'This system... ' I give a dead look at the screen 'Do I need to ask everything?'
'Meh. Forget it. I'll check this skill first. ' Unfortunately, my heart gets overwhelmed by my success, so I change the topic about levels, before it even starts.
"Retrieve" I commanded.

After I answer, just like before, after I confirm that I want to learn the skill, invisible fresh energy engulf my entire body. It walks through my cells and spreads in every cell, not long after, I awaken another hidden talent within me.
By analyzing the system, I learn something. 'Skills from the system don't come from the void. The system is only waking up the hidden abilities inside me'
For example, as a parasite, it is normal for me to have the ability to control corpses by possessing them. However, although every parasite had this ability, not all parasites could activate this ability of our race. So, in my case, the system certainly didn't give me a skill, but just help me to awaken it in an instant rather than me undergoing miserable cultivation first.

Well, I think the system tends to disappoint me, yet again. I already gained four or five defensive skills and here again... what a pain in the ass.
I don't know how I could survive in this place with my tiny body and no skill other than defensive.
'Mmm?' I get a new idea forming in my head, again. ' Maybe I could use that...?!' If I could find a corpse or dying beast, maybe I could get offensive if I could possess it. 'If I could execute this plan, that would be great. '
With this vast size of the forest, it would be absurd if I couldn't find any dying or injured beast. The only problem is my pace. I am so small that my pace - although it looked so fast for me- I am barely moving forward.
Sigh* 'Forget it, as long as I can move, there is no problem, even if it took me a hundred years.' With this in mind, an enormous amount of confidence got built in my heart. I lock my eyes to a certain distance and hop my body forward, one after another jump.

As I am moving around this unfamiliar world/forest, I slowly get revealed into the vast amount of gigantic grasses and heavenly trees. I feel the calm atmosphere and appreciate the beautiful scenery although I can't see the entire place because of my height.
Nevertheless, although I am too tiny to see the entire area: the flowers, trees, grasses, and the sky are still giving me the feeling that this world is wonderful.
The World of Cultivators is truly a promising place. I could even claim that the world of cultivators is more amazing compared to any other world. Even in novels, compared to the world of ninjas, robots, or technologies, apocalypse, or whatsoever, the best world for me is the world of cultivators. In my own accord, cultivators are good at taking care of nature.
