Chapter 66: Leaving a Deep impression (65)

"What the hell!?"

"Are they trying to attack us in our own town?" The Council members shouted indignantly as they drew their weapons.

"People of Gray Rock City…"

"You have been betrayed by the members of their Council who, for the sake of their own benefit"

"They have betrayed the Hidden Flower Sect with whom you have always had a friendly relationship"

"And therefore they have betrayed you! Their own people… Or did one of them consult with you if they wanted to betray the Hidden Flower Sect?"

"No! None of those bastards told us anything!!"

"Damn corrupt people!! How dare they drag us into this problem"

"That's right… They are no longer part of our City." The people quickly turned their backs on their rulers.

'Typical... It's easier to turn your back on Council members than to face a powerful Sect' Ruvan thought to himself with a smile as he saw how the town had quickly turned its back on this group of old men.

"Don't listen to this bastard!!"

"That's right… He's lying" The Council members shouted their complaints at the top of their lungs but they fell on deaf ears to the angry crowd that was clamoring for their heads.

"Damn bastard… How dare you turn our citizens against us!!"

"Don't even think about getting out of here alive, brat!!" Several Council members drew their weapons as they prepared for a death match with Ruvan's group.

'Mmmm this continent is certainly in another league compared to Marxus...'

'Even this small town has several Golden Core Realm cultivators' Ruvan thought to himself.

To give an example, mere disciples of the Hidden Flower Sect were in the Golden Core Realm while an Elder like Yurie was already in the powerful Earth Realm. This was the complete opposite of Marxus where Golden Core Realm cultivators walked everywhere like respected experts.

"People of Gray Rock City…"

"Stay on the sidelines while we clean this garbage from your City" Ruvan shouted while urging people to move away from the square to avoid civilian casualties after all he did not want to lose the support of the people due to some accidental death.

"Ruvan… I don't think we should take this that far" Elder Yurie said with a doubtful look after all, several of the council members had until recently been close friends of hers.

"Do you know why they betrayed you?" Ruvan asked without bothering to turn his head.

"No? Because they offer them greater benefits?" Elder Yurie responded randomly after all she had not thought in depth about the reasons behind the betrayal of the members of the Gray Rock City Council.

"Nop. You are completely wrong"

"Then why they betray me? Elder Yurie asked with an annoyed tone. She didn't like being lectured by a man younger than her.

"Because they are more afraid of what the Wandering Peak Sect might do to them than they are afraid of betraying you…" Ruvan said with a smile.

Elder Yurie remained completely silent as she analyzed Ruvan's words, on the other hand Yu-Hee had a joyful smile on her face after all she had finally found a person who thought the same as her.

"Circle of Tempest" Ruvan murmured.

"Kkrkrkrkrkkrkr" "Krkrkrkrkrk" "Krkrkrkrkrkr"

"What the hell?..."

"Shit! We're trapped"

A circle of lightning had appeared right around the council members, trapping them completely.

"Don't worry… He's a seventh stage cultivator! He won't be able to resist for long…" Said the Councilor surnamed Downy.

"Just wait you bastard…"

"Yu-Hee gives the order" Ruvan said.

"Understood" Yu-Hee nodded with a smile as she turned around.

"Girls… Aim" Several silhouettes began to emerge from the roofs of the nearby houses, holding powerful bows in their hands. Each of the girls pointed directly towards the group of trapped councilors.

"Shit… Look up at the ceiling."

"Little Yurie!! We don't have to take things that far! Let's sit down to negotiate; I'm sure we can find a solution that benefits us all!

"That's right... Whatever your terms are, we are willing to listen to them"

"If you want us to sign an alliance with your Sect, we are more than willing." The members of the Council quickly began to babble any nonsense in order to save their asses, earning even more the contempt of the people.

"Little Yurie… please" Councilor Donly tried in every way to appeal to Elder Yurie but she was still stunned by Ruvan's words.

"Before you die I want to tell you something…"

"All your families will be enslaved to serve as a reminder of what happens to those who betray our Sect."

"HEY WAIT"

"DON'T YOU DARE"

"BASTARD! DON'T MESS WITH OUR FAMILIES!!"

Ruvan simply ignored them while raised his hand giving the signal to Yu-Hee to give the order.

"FIRE"

"Arggh" "Arggh" "Argggh" A wave of arrows pierced several Elders, killing them instantly while another group lay badly wounded with arrows piercing various parts of their bodies.

'Please!! Stop"

"We give up!!"

"Little Yurie!!! Please have mercy" Councilor Donly shouted with tears in his eyes but to his surprise the only thing he received was a cold and indifferent look from Elder Yurie.

"FIRE" Yu-Hee again gave the order and another wave of arrows fell on the dying Elders, ending their lives once and for all.

In this way, the group of Elders who had ruled the Gray Rock City Council, for more than fifty years, had been completely exterminated, leaving a deep imprint in the minds of the Citizens of what could happen to them if they tried to betray the Hidden Flower Sect again.

"Now go to these guys houses and bring their families" Ruvan said casually as he deactivated his storm circle.

'Shit… These kinds of lightning techniques waste too much spiritual energy,' Ruvan complained internally as he swallowed a pill.

"Do you really plan to enslave their families? Isn't that going too far?" Elder Yurie asked with a doubtful look.

"Mmm actually I'm being benevolent…"

"I'm sure that the families of these guys would be ostracized by the rest of the village once we leave… At least in our Sect they will be able to live peacefully as servants" Ruvan said with a smile which left Elder Yurie static.

'How much experience does this boy have for his scale of thought to go so far?'

'Forget it…'

'I would much rather have him as an ally than as an enemy,' she murmured to herself as she saw Ruvan's silhouette giving orders from the head of his gigantic snake.
