Chapter 9: audition

tomorrow is the audition. I remembered Kelly's words.
I went with a song ,he would never ever would have thought a school student would perform for that song.i practiced so much till i had the satisfaction.mirror became my audience and i wanted to see it fulfilled. i went to bed clean and ambitious.
I enrolled into the audition as in for the first thing I wanted to do that day. I went into class ,he wasn't there ,maybe it had something to do with audition. during the school assembly,jimin held the mic and asked all the contestants to come to the auditorium.
almost quarter of the girls in high school disappeared from the assembly 😂
we were asked to form a queue to cross-check the Audition list and who weren't in the list were sent back to the assembly. Charlie was taking care of this.
we took our seats ,in the judge panel -jimin , Charlie and a senior year student was there.
few girls didn't even know what was dance,it was very funny to watch them dance . lmao 😂. 4 -6 girls either sprained their ankle or fractured them. few girls danced seductively,ew like they were rejected in a instance and Jessica was one them,she getting rejected was like the best thing I saw ,she sprained her ankle when she tried hip breaking step. rofl 😂.
some girls were really good.
my name was announced. I asked for a head mic , breathed deep and saw jimin. I sang the song I wrote about "the guy who liked me during middle school,shane" . i still remember how he chased me to be his girlfriend. i sang his point of view, slow and danced like I was crazily in love with a girl. i saw jimin's eyes thrice and pointed him once ,i tried to bring out the emotion Shane gave me ,I cried in the end and ran into the drapes of curtain when people started to applaud. I didnt stay in stage after performance like other contestants,as they announced the result at end .
6 girls danced after my performance. I washed my face and re-did my hairstyle as it got tangled after the performance.i went back to the auditorium and sat quietly in my seat . when I saw the last performance,I thought I had no chance to be jimin's partner ,hold jimin's hand ,see him being sweaty .
I thought I should be responsible for my own act as I sang my own song and danced to it.i felt like I wasn't gonna get in .i started to cry in an inaudible way when I hugged my knees as I felt like I didn't give my best in there. "I should have sang promise" ughh I held my broken heart and waited for the results.i wanted to know who that lucky girl was ,who was the one eligibile enough to meet jimin's expectations,who could have jimin in her arms for the dance. I started overthinking too much.
