it was morning and students can be seen walking to the school when a particular student is seen riding a bike to school. this was kazuma who was humming an anime song in his head and heard about the other students talking about going to akiba on bus or train but smiled and said why do that when i can use my bike for free.
he when on the back slope and started the climb with ease as if it was a straight road and saw a car approaching and moved to the side to let it pass, inside the car Takahashi notes that he wasn't expecting anyone to be riding a bike up this road, but Shunsuke claims he must have been seeing things, as the boy only had a mommy bike and the back entrance to school is at the top of an extreme slope with over a 20% gradient, but looks agains and sees the boy riding and is shocked by what he he seeing and notes that this person isn't a normal person.
Following the welcome ceremony, kazuma spends his first day thinking about what he wants to do as he has not set he's sight on anything he wants but he looks and sees anime club but realizes that it's been closed down and looks with a frown as he thought it would be that place for him to show his anime level knowledge.he sees that he needs five people to get it back but he thinks that to much work and thinks in it when his thoughts are interrupted Two girls who walk by the room and kazuma laments to them about the anime club, as he assumes they must also be there to join. He is very quickly corrected, discovering that one of the girls has interest in the cycling and the one that sounds more rude is with tennis. the girl miki looks at him and says that he has experience in cycling to which kazuma says that he can beat anyone, aya looks and says that kazuma is arrogant to which he says it's not when you are sure and miki smiles and says he should join cycling club to which kazuma says he'll think on it and they head to different directions.
kazuma leaves the school on his bike while ridding he hears another and sees that it's imaizumi who is passing and slows down to warn him of the danger but kazuma smiles and says this is nothing to him and looks and imaizumi and says he shouldn't let his defeat define him to which imaizumi ask why he said that and kazuma says he has the face of of someone who wants revenge but should be careful since it can blind him and rides for akiba for anime products and leaves imaizumi confused.
