Chapter 1: I : The wedding.

The negotiations between the golden emperor of Liyue, Rex Lapis, and the kingdom of Celestia were taking longer than expected, it was not surprising that an alliance of such magnitude was thought so seriously, after all, they were in the crosshairs of the rest of nations.

Since Rex Lapis was obsessed with the idea of consolidating his nation once and for all as something untouchable that escaped the conflicts in the west and north, so as soon as the opportunity was given to him, he did not doubt, if he had to commit to a complete unknown to ensure the peace of his people would.

This is how we got to the long-awaited day.

Rex Lapis was aware that there were two heirs to the throne of Celestia, they were quite popular for being twins of remarkable beauty as well as intelligence but no one but the realm had seen their faces, the confidentiality of their identities outside their own kingdom was something they boasted about and for which they have remained secure even in that time of war; Of course, the emperor couldn't care less what they looked like or which twin they sent him.

Even though the traditions of both regions were very different from each other, it was decided that the rites would be consistent with what was done in Liyue, since everything would be done there and it was also where Celestia's heir would stay after getting married. Despite the fact that many protocols could not be carried out, such as personally greeting the parents of his fiancée, Rex Lapis did not feel offended since he understood the circumstances in which that union took place.

Everything was prepared, there were many more golden decorations than usual in the palace, red flowers elegantly adorned the corridors, and no less than a hundred people from the nation's high society were there to witness such a union.

Only the bride was missing.

Rex Lapis was circling with some concern and nervousness in his room until they gave the notice that his fiancée would arrive. The man to one side, almost hidden in the shadows, saw how restless his lord was and wondered inwardly if his expensive red robes would not be ruined after dragging it for so long, although he really did not think it was possible, the whole place was immaculate.

"It's getting late..."

He muttered, the emperor was a tall man with slanted eyes, golden as the most beautiful Cor Lapis, with intense brown hair that was the length of his back but tied in a low ponytail, his strong presence used to intimidate anyone who was in front of him.

"We can't let this offense-"

"Alatus! Perhaps something happened to them, don't rush your conclusions."

The emperor turned to look seriously at the man, managing to make him take a couple of steps back, even if he was not excited about that commitment, the idea of something happening to his fiancée made him sweat, the last thing he wanted was for the king of Celestia blamed them and decided to make enemies of them.

A couple of knocks on the door were enough to make both men forget their previous thoughts.

"My lord, it is time."

The maiden said, Rex Lapis sighed in relief and lightly brushed his elegant robes before leaving. His right-hand man, who commanded his troops and stood by his side as his escort, followed him from behind, the average height raven was more excited for everything to be over quickly so he could get back to the usual routine.

The man followed his lord with his yellow gaze as he walked elegantly to the altar where the man who was going to marry them was waiting for him, Alatus slipped through the crowd staying as close as possible to his lord and taking care to stay hidden in order to be prepared in case of any mishap.

The sound of fireworks anticipated that of the grand front door opening, the figure at the door walking slowly down the corridor without ever looking up, the red dress adorned with gold embroidered details reaching to the floor and their face was covered by a veil of the same color, so far the identity of that twin remained unknown.

The emperor immediately noticed that his partner was trembling, perhaps because of nerves, perhaps because of fear, the man wanted to roll his eyes thinking how pathetic it was. The man's golden gaze strayed for a second when striking orange hair caught his eye, he tried his best not to be distracted as he met the blank expression of the blue-eyed, ginger-head nobleman in the crowd, Rex Lapis insulted him in his mind, he asked so many times not to attend and still there it was.

The couple knelt in front of each other while the officiant on one side said a few words, both bowed when they heard how a "prostration before heaven and earth" was requested. The emperor began to feel stupid, as a young man he had imagined the moment of his wedding as the happiest of all but at that moment there was nothing but emptiness in his chest and a strong feeling of duty that prevented him from stopping that farce.

Alatus began to repeatedly step lightly because of how restless he was, he wanted the process to be faster, he wanted not to have to deal with who would be his new superior in a few minutes, simply return to the tranquility of the palace when there was no need to worry about so many "unknown" people who could be a danger to his lord.

His yellow gaze was unconsciously focused on the silhouette of the fully covered person, he couldn't deny that he was curious, anyone with a minimum of knowledge about the nation of Celestia would have it, the royal family is spoken of as if they were gods themselves on earth, well, he couldn't say they didn't say the same about their lord who was said to be a reincarnated dragon god.

When Rex Lapis lifted his partner's veil the place fell silent, porcelain skin of a beautiful ivory color, androgynous in appearance, and shiny golden hair that competed with the decorations on her dress, that person slowly opened her eyes to see for the first time to what would be her husband. Alatus was fascinated by those fine features and such beautiful eyes, he felt strange, enough to force himself to look away when he saw the couple move delicately to take the thin porcelain containers where the officiant began to serve the alcohol they would drink.

With their arms entwined with each other, they drank until there was not a drop of alcohol left in their glasses, when they finished they separated their arms, returning to the position they were in, as the last thing to end the "happy event" the bride and groom were supposed to kiss, Rex Lapis didn't even hesitate despite seeing how his partner closed his eyes so as not to see what was coming.

Only Alatus and the officiant noticed how one of Rex Lapis's hands mercilessly squeezed his partner, the jet-black knew that something had deeply upset his lord and he was already afraid of hearing them discuss when they were alone, it was a bad start.

The emperor covered his partner's face again before getting up, it was done, there was no going back, that was the beginning of his "new life". The couple made their way down the spacious and elegant hall as they heard their guests cheer as if the event were something to be celebrated, for those involved it was not that way although the expression on the emperor's face was the opposite of his emotions.

They made their way to the emperor's room, Alatus following the pair from behind at all times but, for obvious reasons, he stopped before entering the room with them, his eyes widening in shock as the door was slammed shut on his heels face with such force that it made an unpleasant noise. From where Alatus was he could feel someone's body being pushed against the wall, he shuddered because he knew who was about to receive a punishment.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! Couldn't you at least pretend you're happy about this? People were watching!"

Rex Lapis exclaimed as he held his new partner against the wall, the reddish veil falling to the ground revealing that person's frightened expression.

"I-I'm sorry... A-all this is..."

The emperor frowned even more properly seeing his partner, his voice gave him away, by the appearance he would not have guessed that it was a boy. The older man sighed with frustration, it irritated him to see how the young man, despite being on the same level, was trembling at simple words said out loud, thinking that they sent him the most incompetent twin made him angry.

"I thought they would have taught you basic etiquette, do you think this is a game?"

The older growled, still holding the blonde against the wall so he had nowhere to escape.

"I-I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to offend you."

Said the boy while holding the eldest's arm on his chest in an attempt to release him, the emperor rolled his eyes and with a simple pull made the boy fall on the huge bed in the middle of the room, many of the decorations in they fell to the ground but the man did not care, blessings to have children? What a bad joke, not even with the love of his life he could have them.

"Enough talk, let's get this over with."

His deep voice as he hovered over the boy on the bed, the emperor's dark gaze making him look like a predator about to devour some poor defenseless little animal.

"W-wait! I thought we could skip this part, like... Like we did with some stuff..."

The prince's voice was declining as he saw the expression of irritation in his new partner, Rex Lapis took the young man by the neck while pushing his body completely to stay lying against the mattress, his hand almost completely encircling the minor's neck, the idea of how easy it would be to break it made him smile for a moment.

"I figured you've prepared yourself." -He ignored the young man's words, did he really not understand? They could not perform the rest of the rites due to the distance, nothing prevented them from performing this one, one that was considered the most important.- "I have told you about the rituals in my tradition for a reason."

The blond shook his head as the older man began to undress him, his hands gripping the silk sheets tightly. When the emperor finished his work, he admired the boy's beautiful figure as he ran his hand along the entire length of his smooth and flawless chest, well, it really wasn't his type but it wasn't bad at all.

"Then it will be painful for you, I'm sorry."

Despite apologizing, deep down, he was certainly satisfied with the situation, at that moment he only thought about taking out all that bad mood with someone and he had the perfect target in front of him.

Alatus, as usual, was standing outside to one side of the door, he was relieved not to hear any more knocks but his body twitched when in the following minutes he heard a scream, of course, it was not from his lord. For the first time in a long time the jet wanted to not be the one on guard, but being his duty he stayed there, forcing himself not to cover his ears from the noises coming from the next room.
