Chapter 15: CH 15: Deal and the broken ass card
(Third person POV)
(On it, boss!) Red Eyes chirped with an excited tone of voice before he got out of Ali's eye. But since nobody here could see duel spirits, it was alright.
The small, cute Red Eyes floated towards the card in Ali's hand :"hey! Serpent Night Dragon! Wake up!"
There was growl from the card :"who dares awaken me? Oh? What's this? A human who has a Ka?
And not just any duel spirit as a Ka. The Red Eyes, the ace monster that the person who was once my master."
He was probably talking about Rex Raptor. "what do you want from me?" The Serpent Night Dragon asked.
(Red Eyes, I can't talk to him directly, so tell him what I'm telling you.) Ali talked into their mental link as Red Eyes obeyed :(understood, boss.)
And after he heard what Ali said, he turned to Serpent Night Dragon who was still inside his card :"Serpent Night Dragon, my master wants to make a new deck.
A dragon deck specifically. He saw that you were just gathering dust in the corner of this shop, so he asks if you wish to join him?"
There was a moment of silence before Serpent Night Dragon snorted :"hmph. Me? The previous person who wielded me threw me away because I was "too hard to summon" and "not worth the effort".
Why would I accept him as my master? How should I know if he is worthy of wielding my power and having my loyalty?"
Red Eyes looked at the card seriously before he snorted :"hmph, isn't the fact that he already has my loyalty enough proof?"
But Serpent Night Dragon snorted again and probably rolled his eyes :"hmph, you're just a little dragon.
You aren't even the real Red Eyes Black Dragon. You're just the Red Eyes Black Chick, don't brag about yourself."
Red Eyes eyes twitched in annoyance before he smirked :"oh? I'm weak, huh? Then what about the others? Hey! Let him sense your presence so we can defend our master's honor!"
And the moment his voice fell, Ali's duel spirits happily let out their auras! They had previously hidden their presence, so nobody, not even other duel spirits could sense them.
The duel spirits could do that, even Serpent Night Dragon. But he hadn't bothered to hide it. And that's why Red Eyes sensed him.
"W-what is this?!" The Serpent Night Dragon let out in shock as he felt the aura of each and every duel spirit in Ali's decks.
He wouldn't have been so surprised since duel spirits themselves weren't rare. The reason for why he was surprised, was because there were literally hundreds of them with Ali!
And none of them were weak either! Even if not all of them were as powerful as him, they were still stronger than the average duel spirits.
And there were many of them which were stronger than himself! Red Eyes smirked smugly as he raised his head in pride of having such a supportive teammates :"so? Is that enough proof of him being worthy?"
Serpent Night Dragon didn't say anything as he kept silence. But after a few moments, he snorted :"even so, just that doesn't prove anything. I haven't seen him in action after all."
Ali mentally chuckled at his words :(truly a prideful dragon, huh? Fine, tell him that if he agrees to come along, I will make sure that he is satisfied with my tactics.)
Red Eyes obeyed as he said with a serious face and tone :"Serpent Night Dragon, I'm not going to argue with you.
After all, in front of action, it's worthless. So how about this? You come with us and my master will show you what he can do?
I'm sure that he can convince you to join our team. After all, isn't the fact that he has the approval of all of us enough?"
Once again, there was silence before Serpent Night Dragon sighed :"alright, I will agree to your request.
It's better than just being thrown here like trash after all. If he can't convince me, then I've just wasted my time.
But if he is worthy and I passed on the chance, then I have wasted a precious chance. Fine, I will come."
(Perfect.) Ali smiled before Zane put his hand on his shoulder and shook him gently :"Ali? Why did you suddenly go so quiet?"
And he smiled at him as he gently shook the Serpent Night Dragon in his hand :"I think I may have found my ace monster, Zane."
The dark green haired boy was a little surprised as he cocked an eyebrow :"the Serpent Night Dragon, huh?
A pretty good card. The average duelist will probably have a hard time summoning it, but with you, I have a feeling that seeing it on the field will be a normal sight. Congratulations."
Ali smiled. Not because only because of getting congratulated, but because of knowing that his new friend doesn't judge cards like the other assholes that look at the ATK and DEF points :"yeah, I'm quite lucky. Sadie, how much for this card?"
The sexy and beautiful girl nodded with a smile :"even though the Serpent Night Dragon isn't seen as that precious and it got labeled as worthless by Rex Raptor, it's still a pretty powerful monster. So even though the price of it has been lowered, it's 700 DP."
At the mention of Rex Raptor, Serpent Night Dragon let out a growl. And Ali felt quite mad that one of his favorite dragons was trashed by such assholes.
Even though Ali was stingy and people even called him Mr Crabs, he wasn't stingy when spending money.
The reason for why he wouldn't spend money was because... He was too lazy to go out and go shopping...
Otherwise, the feeling of spending money felt quite good. So he nodded with a smile :"alright, I will take this Serpent Night Dragon. Let me take a look at the booster packs now."
(Hehehe, Red Eyes, get to work.) He said in his head, causing Red Eyes to chuckle as well before floating to the booster packs.
Red Eyes looked around a little bit before he pointed at a few packs :(boss, these cards! I can sense the presence of a few strong duel spirits in them!)
And he smirked before reaching out at the booster packs called out by Red Eyes as he picked them up.
Zane and Sadie thought that he just randomly picked cards from here and there, but how would they know that he was picking the good cards?
After picking the five booster packs that Red Eyes pointed at, Ali put them on the desk before he smiled at Sadie :"alright, Sadie. I pick these."
Sadie flashed a smile and a nod :"that will be a total of 1,200 DP. Please hand me your PDA for a moment."
And Ali did as she asked before she took out DP in his PDA and then handed it back to him :"here you go. Thank you for your purchase."
Once Ali took a look at his PDA, he saw that there was only a total of 2,000 DP left. But he didn't feel bad since he will be raising it and making it rain after a while with these cards.
Sadie put the booster packs and the Serpent Night Dragon card in a bag that was specially made for cards so they wouldn't be ruined :"here you go. Hope you have a good luck and find good cards."
Ali nodded with a casual smile as he put his PDA back in his pocket :"thanks. Alright, Zane, let's go."
But Zane shook his head :"I still owe you a sandwich. I don't go back on my words. Dorothy just prepared the sandwiches, try your luck."
Ali gave a bright smile before he pat his back :"well, happy to know that! Let's go!" And they walked towards the box that Dorothy was emptying the sandwiches in.
Zane gave a polite nod at her before he took out his PDA :"Dorothy, Ali wants to try out his luck. I'm treating him today because of waking him up so early, so please deduct it from my DP."
Dorothy smiled as she took his PDA :"alright then, just give me a second. Oh, and Ali, please know that everyone can only purchase one sandwich per day. But, since Zane gave his chance to you, you can buy one yourself as well. Here you go, Zane. Good luck, Ali."
After Zane put his PDA in his pocket, Ali smiled as he held his pack out for him to take :"you hold on to this for a second."
Zane nodded and took it without saying anything as Ali rolled up his sleeves and stood beside the box.
'I will try out my luck next time, but for now, I really need some good cards.' he thought before he talked into his and Red Eyes mental link :(Red Eyes, do your thing.)
(On it, ma boss!) He said before he grabbed Ali's finger and guided it. After Ali put his entire arm into the box, Red Eyes finally put his middle finger on a sandwich with a plastic wrapped around it :(boss, I sense a powerful duel spirit in this one! Even if it's not the golden egg sandwich, this card is the most powerful monster here!)
And so, why would Ali refuse? So he smirked a toothy grin before he grabbed the plastic and pulled it out!
He smiled before he opened the plastic bag and a very delicious smell reached his nose, causing him to nearly drool :"holy shit... This smells delicious..."
Zane walked to stand bised him as he looked into the plastic bag before giving a small smile :"congratulations, Ali. You managed to get the first golden egg sandwich of the year in your first time. What is the card that you got?"
Ali looked and saw a card in a small, see through bag of its own in the plastic bag. He reached out and took it out before his eyes went wide.
Once Zane also looked, he was shocked as well :"Chaos Emperor Dragon?! Whoa, Ali, your luck is something else."
Dorothy on the other side was shocked as well :"Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy Of The End?! Ali, your luck is amazing!
The card is really powerful and has an amazing effect, so it's price is a grand total of 50,000 DP! You've had a really good luck, young man."
How could he not know how lucky he had gotten?! This was one of the cards that he used in Tag Force!
Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy Of The End: Dragon/ Effect/ Dark/ Lv 8/ 3,000 ATK/ 2,500 DEF.
Effect(s): Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your GY. Once per turn: You can pay 1000 LP; send as many cards in both players' hands and on the field as possible to the GY, then inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each card sent to the opponent's GY by this effect. You cannot activate other cards or effects during the turn you activate this card's effect.
This isn't just any card, it's the card that created the Yu-Gi-Oh banlist! This card was too fucking broken!
Not only was it easy as fuck to summon it, it was as powerful as the legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon! And even more powerful than with its effect!
Like seriously! It wipes out the entire field and the card in the hand and will inflict 300 damage to the opponent!
Just this card can end the duel with its broken ass effect! And the best part was that, it wasn't banned here!
Ali had taken a look before at the banlist. This card was the only banned card, so they thought that they might as well just take out the banlist.
