Chapter 2: 02: Kids
"So... Where am I?" Said James to himself, looking around. It seems like he was in a basement... James felt like trying to use his powers, looking around he saw a can on the ground. He looked at it and tried to concentrate on the can and imagine it floating, he slowly opened his eyes and saw the can floating exactly as he thought! He smiled happily looked around, searching for a door. With some doubts, James tried to look at the memories of the original owner again and saw: He was sold. He was sold to some kind of organization that trained kids to be killing machines or something like that, the previous owner was a kid, so the body doesn't have a lot of memories about this...
*door noises*
"Oh... It seems that you are awake."
James looked at the only door that had I'm the basement and saw a huge muscular man looking at him, James hissed like a scared cat and the man chuckled. "Oh, like this one too," he said while throwing another kid towards James, the kid was a little girl, probably five years old too. James looked at the girl that was bleeding and tired, the man said: "More will come later, you will have little friends to play with..." He left with a sadistic smile on his face.
"Hey, are you okay? What a dumb question, you obviously are not okay... Okay, let's try it. Aquarius." After James said the name of the Zodiac, from his body, water bubbles floated and his hair turned blue together with his eyes... He touched the body of the little girl, a bubble entered her body from the cut on her face and it began to heal at a high speed. James gasped when he noticed that when he uses his abilities he uses his stamina.
James looked at the kid on the ground and coughed, he walked back and gasped when he saw the blood on his hands. He then started to make plans to leave that place... He needed to be strong enough to leave this place. He has the regeneration factor, so even if he is completely broken he will regenerate. James thought about it and started to exercise his body. He stopped when he heard the door opening again and the cry of different kids and the angry shout of different men.
"Oh! Hello, again brat." The same man that threw the kid before was again here, he looked at James who was sitting on the ground and looking at him with a calm expression... At first, when he got this kid, he had to hit his legs to make him stop crying... Well, he had stopped even breathing later. Anyway, he arrived with 10 other kids, from 5 to 7 and even 9 years old... James thought that if he wanted to scape, those kids would be dead weight to take with him... But maybe if he brainwashes *cough* train them to be his loyal follower... It could be useful.
But first, he had to be strong himself... So, the only thing he can do now is exercise and wait, wait and see what will happen later. The man had 7 minions with him when they left James observed the other kids... Together with him and the girl he healed, they were now 12. James sighed and continued to work out, some kids stopped crying and started to ask questions to each other... They seemed to be afraid of what would happen to them. Some called for his mommy, daddy or something like that.
James really thought that it was annoying until another kid that was 8 years old started to work out with him. James smiled and said: "It seems that you are very... Calm." The eight years boy looked at James and said: "Yeah, you too... So calm that it seems that you have a plan to scape." James smiled harder and even laughed, saying: "Yeah, maybe... You are pretty smart to an eight years old kid." The later smiled too and said: "And you for a five years old one."
James stopped working out, his regeneration factor healed his muscles slowly and the killing pain stopped, he smiled and said to the eight years boy: "Name's James." The other sighed and sat down, looked at James and said: "Daniel." James smiled and said: "So... Daniel, are you some kind of genius? Mutant? To be so calm and analyze everything around you... It seems like you are used to it." Daniel looked at James, the five years old boy that had blond hair and black eyes and said:
"Well, I am used to it... Wait, mutant?"
James laughed looking at the silly expression of the kid and said: "Nothing, anyway... You said you are used to it? How so? Can you tell me?" Daniel seemed reluctant, but he said: "Well because of my father's job I kinda get kidnapped almost every day..." James looked at Daniel, the eight years old kid with brown hair and blue eyes and an Asian face, said: "And what is your father's job? Don't tell me that he is a big shot or something like that?"
"Well, he is. He is the lider of one of the most powerful families in Japan." James looked at him confused and asked: "Japan? What are you doing here in the underworld of New York?" James knew by his memories that he is now in New York... The year, if he is not wrong is 1990 or near it. Daniel spits on the ground and said: "Well, one of my father's enemies sold me to this organization. I'm not worried because my father will save me. I'm sure of it." James seemed a little... doubtful and said:
"Well... How long have you been... sold?" James asked, truly curious. Daniel stopped moving and breathing for a second and said: "W-well... A week." James sighed and patted the boy's shoulder and said: "Well, don't lose hope! Your father will save you, I'm sure about that!" Daniel seemed surprised that James said it to him and smiled while some tears fell down his eyes, saying: "Thank you." The other kids were on the corners of the walls, James just sighed when he saw the fear on their faces and started to work out again. James didn't know how many hours he was inside that basement now, but the door was open again and the voice of the same huge man echoed:
"Good morning brats! It's your first day at our training sessions!" He had collars on his hand when James saw the collars he instantly thought of an electric collar that would shock him... He saw that the man had two minions with him that would help him put the collars. James sighed and walked forward, looked at the man and grabbed the collar from his hand, and put it himself. He doesn't want to be hurt by the men when they try to put it into his neck! Daniel did the same when he thought why James did that.
"Oh! Look, there are some smart brats here... Let's see if you stay alive in the end." The man had a cruel smile, he then shouted: "LET'S GO, KIDS!" James followed willingly the man, Daniel did the same. Seeing they walking forward and some kids getting caught forcefully, the other kids decided to do the same...
