Chapter 3: Chapter 3
I looked at Vista city from a far. I notice that it was roaming with a lot of zombies in the street. We enter inside and silently sneak into house from house avoiding zombies to notice us. we successfully avoid all of it and make our way to a convenience store it wasn't looted yet and the door seems locked.
"So what's the plan? Wanna raid the store?" I whisper trying to keep my voice down preventing zombies to hear it.
"As if we got a choice. We're running out of food to eat in the next day and the sun is setting" Josh said
We started moving and sneak in the alleys hoping that there are no zombies here, but unfortunately two zombies were lurking so we have no choice but to take them down. Josh and i volunteered to kill them and successfully kill both of it and proceed to our main objective. We first try to open the front door but it was lock and it's risky to open it by force so we decided to go through the back door. The back door was surprisingly unlock. We carefully go inside the convenience store and check every corner of the store if there were zombies hiding but there was none. I drop my guard and put down my bag besides me. I heard them taking foods and necessary items inside the store while i keep guard the back door to prevent zombies to come in. It didn't take long before they finish looting the store and i saw the girls preparing our dinner. I saw Josh coming over me.
"Hey would you like to switch" Josh said referring to the guarding job.
"Yeah, i would gladly take it." I said and stood up.
'Now it my turn to loot some remaining stuffs.'
I walk through the first shelf i saw, and saw different kinds of beverages they were not cold because electricity were gone for i don't know how long. I grab a plenty water bottles and few sodas and stash it to my inventory.
'Water Bottle'
Replenish 70% of thirst
'Sodas'
Replenish 30% of thirst and gave slight boost of energy
Then i proceed to the next shelves which contain some snacks. I only grab like 3 chips and handful of Protein bar which i saw behind of the shelves.
'Chips'
Replenish 20% of hunger
'Protein bar'
Replenish 10% of hunger and gain 1% health regeneration
I continued and proceed to the next shelves again which contains Canned goods. I grab a lot of them because it was really needed in survivals such like these, but i cannot take to much because of the weight capacity. I can only grab 15 canned food exactly.
'Canned foods'
Replenish 70% of hunger and gain 1% health regeneration.
I leave the shelf station and proceed to our DIY camp inside the store which is small but can fit us all. I saw Lean and Chloie cooking while Andrea and Cesar is currently sleeping while John close the back door and locked it properly so no one can enter through it, Then John also join the camp.
"I'm gonna log out for a sec. I will put a 'wake up emergency' so don't worry"
"What's 'wake up emergency'?" i ask
"It's part from the system that let me know if someone is waking me up inside the game." John explain.
"Just wake me up if something came up okay?" I just nod as a response. John smile and proceed to log out.
Now i'm stuck with this two siblings. They continue to cook on their portable stove while i sit and watch them cook. Lean saw me looking at them and genuinely smile at me.
"Want some?" Lean offer me a bowl of soup. I didn't hesitate and accept their soup
I smiled at both of them as i took the bowl out of them.
"Please taste it and give us a review." Both of them said with excitement. I just like okay im gonna taste them out. I took a sip from the bowl and taste it.
*Bluurrgh* The soup was too salty, it looks like they put a whole salt in it, but of course i didn't show them that i didn't like what they made.
"So what does it taste? Is it good?" They both ask together at the same time.
"It's good, It's good" I awkwardly said
