So, I'll take it step by step, but I was going to write this review before I even realized this was the same author, MidGard, who wrote supremacy games....so damn, I am even MORE EXCITED!!!! W.Q.- If MidGard isn't a native speaker, I can't find evidence of it. So props to him/his editor/who ever, cause I never see any of the usual non-native speaker mistakes. Updates- stable. Not much more could be said either way lol Story/Character- This author is also going to write a story driven around the MC and a few people around him, based on supremacy games at least. I have to say that the author excels at this. Everyone grows, everyone develops, AND, if MC out paces a side character (not unrealistic obviously), they do not needlessly show up just to be there, but also, they are not tossed to side and never heard from again until that last 2 chapters of the novel. Also, so far, the characters are pretty darn good. The MC is both determined and haunted by his past, making me wonder just how dark he could get in the future, if needed. Meanwhile, people like his brother are already on their own mini developments as the world forces them to change and be better than they were before. Really, this is gonna be a good one for story and characters, like usual with MidGard ;) World- So, its only 40 chapters, and therefore both a whole lot, and not nearly enough, world building. At the same time, I just think back on supremacy games and remember just how much the world expands naturally as the MC gains a higher and wider perspective on everything. So, although some may say it is weak/incomplete/whatever, I would counter with it being just started, and the author has a proven record of expanding the world in a great way! Final notes: Seriously I had no idea this was the same author as supremacy games, and I was hooked enough to want to write a review in the hopes of others giving it a shot as well. The first free chapters do a great job hooking you, and now, I can not wait to see where this goes in the future! Best of luck to you MidGard, and may this novel be as epic and fun as Supremacy Games!
tl;dr This is probably my favourite novel on this site. You've probably seen that a lot on reviews for other novels, gave it a try and thought: wow, they have shit taste. but i'm telling you this shit is peak. W.Q.: Very few errors, and the ones that are there are like...using the wrong word, but you can guess pretty easily what was meant, otherwise the writing style is clear, well spoken, and professional. seriously, the best comparison is like picking up a novel at the bookstore. Well done Story Development: the story as a whole is quite unique. sure, at its roots, it is starting as a revenge story, but the motivation and background behind it is really interestingly done Which leads us to Character design. holy shit dude, Levi is without a doubt my favourite character. Not just on this site, possibly of any book i've read. He's complex without being full of contradictions. he was raised in hell, but still tries to be kind, while also having a side to him thats more nightcrawler than human. A lot of authors will make "blind" characters that can or gain the ability to use their eyes, and while levi can see auras, its still more like lights in the dark and not always applicable. the simple decision to keep his disability but augment his senses in other ways has introduced if not totally unique, really interesting abilities and perspectives that are at the very least written better than anything thats come before it. Yes, he is extremely intelligent and talented, but instead of using that as a crutch, the author uses it as an excuse to drop interesting thoughts and ideas, or to showcase his character's thought process rather than just use it to move the story along. update stability: author is consistant, what more can you say? world background: i could gush about this almost as much as i could about Levi. i won't say much because i dont want to use the spoiler tag, but the power system is unique, the way our understanding of the world shifts with levi's is really well done, and it feels like there is a deep background to the universe that we are just scratching the surface of. all in all, 11/10, would not only recommend, but strap someone to a chair and force them to read.

Reviewing at the time of the first release, very promising first 10 chapters, the writing is phenomenal, the premise is interesting, and the characters and world building are beautifully done. It is a nice change from the other typical Webnovels and I expect it to get even better and better since this is the same author as Supremacy Games.
story review - up to chapter 120 ish this story had the same problem as white online, which was simple they had no barriers, no problems, and every situation rewards him. the MC stumbles into situations that always end with him getting whatever he needs or needed with no issue. he may not have been born with a golden spoon in his mouth but damn he was born with the middle name Mary-sue. while the novel writing style and battles r described well and i can very easily imagine the battles and characters, plus the world building seems abit rushed with large info dumps, the author has made sure the MC has no road blocks besides the guillotine the nightcrawler hold over his head that the path could kill him somewhere down the path if he fails. the novel idea sounds interesting but overall the MC is bland, boring and has no roadblocks to his success in the authors eyes. list of times the novel annoyed me -the MC requires eyes to cultivate normally and doesn't have them but luckily he has divine gene to cultivate the divine line which is far better -MC doesnt have eyes and no nightcrawlers would contract with him luckily a super OP nightcrawler wants him. -MC doesnt have eyes but dw the night crawler he contracted has millions of skills and one is to basically have echolocation -MC's mother has basically plot Armor worth of info for everything nightcrawler related so he can be 5 steps ahead when the plot demands him to be smart -MC flys around randomly and happens to stumble on a group running from another group with an artifact that's perfect for him while riding a super fast mount that people stronger than him can keep up with -MC gets in the good graces of a morning star that can trick theyre parents to get him the recommendation letter for the trials that he must have to attend in the trials. -MC gets a time skip training session over a month then is about to beat people training for years in the trials. - the trials happen to have a intelligence trial that he specialises in with there being a reward is a powerful and super fast mount away above his lvl that he easily trains to be loyal and listen to him -MC nearly becomes a slave but luckily he gambles that the nightcrawler interested him has the info about a completely different nightcrawlers perfect evolution recipe.

Supremacy game is one of my favourite novels of all times. he simply doesn't miss I expect peak fiction again from mid gaurd

A good effort. Not my cup of tea but might be yours. The mc and the friendly characters are interesting and funny without becoming jokes. The antagonists are more flat, simple, and generally pointless. The easy way to figure out which characters are “good” guys are how the mc initially treats them. If they’re going to be friends then the mc will treat them nicely for no reason. If they are going to be enemies then the mc will be rude to them for no reason. This is a little annoying as the mc isn’t consistent in his behavior. If he was rude or friendly initially consistently and then switched when he established the relationship that would make sense but it comes across differently when the order is reversed. The power system is interesting and maybe deep? I’m not really far enough into it to say for certain but I liked the general theme. However the skill level and impact of said skill set of individuals is very inconsistent and always leans towards the mc even when it doesn’t make sense to. The author spends a lot of time emphasizing how some opponents have been training for years and how the mc will struggle to overcome them only to then breeze through it without any problem. Simply put it’s plot armor. It’s not heavy plot armor but the author spent so much time emphasizing it that it comes across pretty jarringly. The one thing that really annoys me is the absolute hiding ability. He’s constantly doing things that should be raising all kinds of red flags but everyone around him is given constant excuses for not noticing. Honestly if you have to repeatedly tell the readers why something reasonable isn’t happening it’s a sign you’ve pushed the point too far. The world comes across as interesting and mysterious withou being frustrating. The mc is interacting with the world and learning about it without big info dumps.

At 230 chapters, it's insanely good. Literally nothing I could possibly nitpick. Amazing power system, worldbuilding, main character, side characters, relationships, antagonists, overarching lore for later chapters, humor, pacing, attention to details, internal coherance for events/powers and grammar. Beyond that it has great timing and excecution for flair. Flashy and unique things are done well, like the FL and his alter ego. Author, you've for my praise! Keep to your principles and it'll easily be one of my top 3
is this story has romance . I'm just asking but the story is very good and as expected of the author of sg , it's a good story . it's easy to imagine and understand . I'm waiting for a legendary journey with a legendary ending like sg or better than that

Sneaky, shameless Author Review! I realized that the synopsis isn't doing justice to the novel, and I don't want to make it longer than it is. So, you will find everything you are looking for here(SPOILER): 1-The World Background: The design might be similar to many gate-like invasion novels, but it truly isn't. (I can't give more without spoiling the design, but just know, it is systemized, and has death games) Earth has been invaded by nightcrawlers from the Shadow dimension, desiring to feed on sunlight for their growth and evolution, but incapable of doing so directly without getting burned to ash. The only ways for them to absorb the sunlight is through either devouring lifeforms (plants, animals, humans), or through possessing humans. There are two ways of possession: Sleepwalker Contract/Daywalker Contract. Sleepwalker Contract: The nightcrawlers obtain the ability to invade humans' dreams the moment their spirit gets linked to the Shadow dimension due to a long exposure to darkness(2H+). (The details are explained in the novel) Once they manipulate a human to sign a Sleepwalker contract, the nightcrawler obtains their bodies and the ability to survive and absorb sunlight. Daywalkers Contract: If nightcrawlers meet with many failures to possess a human, they can switch to a Daywalker contract. They assimilate with humans like a symbiotic relationship, where the human is the authoritative figure. (The details are in the novel) *** The Main Character: Levi Larson. After the two mysterious nightcrawlers invaded his house, assassinated his parents, and stole his eyes, he was left connected to the Shadow dimension from the age of seven. He was tormented by them for years as he could see them inside the spiritual bridge of darkness. This abuse lasted for a decade until he reached seventeen years old. While he went through an inexplicable hellish childhood and is blind, he never lost his gentle smile nor gave in to the nightcrawlers' manipulative tactics. He is smart, cunning, a bit shameless, but chill. *** Romance: There will be romance with one FML, but a slow one. No harem though. I am not too good at writing it, and I would rather not waste your time on it. *** Updates: Currently, the update schedule is set at twelve chapters a week. Two chapters a day, besides Wednesday and Saturday( one chapter), maybe the release schedule will increase, depending on the novel's performance. I believe that should be all for now, as I can't give out more information without some major spoilers. All I can tell you is trust the process, and you will be rewarded with one of the best stories I have ever written, leaving you like this!
