When a new world was discovered on the outskirts of the galaxy, Rex, like countless other low-ranking employees, found himself dragged into a contract clause he’d barely skimmed years ago.
The megacorp ordered him and his coworkers to pack their lives into a transport pod and leave for the unexplored planet. Their mission? Establish a colony. Mine resources. Make the company richer.
There was no choice, refusing meant ruin.
At first, everything seemed manageable. The days were grueling, the nights cold, but progress was steady. The colony was coming to life. Until the excavation team struck something.
No one knew what it was at first, a buried hive, a forgotten ecosystem, or something ancient and dangerous. Whatever it was, it unleashed hell. Swarms of enormous, chittering creatures erupted from the ground, their jagged bodies blotting out the sky.
The colony fell into chaos. Screams echoed through the air as the bugs tore through everything in their path, walls, machines, and people.
Rex barely survived. Bloodied, broken, and pinned beneath the rubble, he should have died there. But in the pitch-black silence of his fading consciousness, a voice spoke to him. Cold. Mechanical. Otherworldly.
"Do you wish to live?"
When Rex woke, he was no longer the man he’d been. His body was no longer human flesh and bone but something far more alien.
His skin shimmered with living metal, his mind infused with the power of Cleo, a mysterious AI from a long-extinct, robotic race known as the Kaelzars. Cleo’s presence pulsed through his thoughts, guiding him and transforming him. He wasn’t just alive. He was reborn.
But survival came at a price. Rex was no longer a pawn of the megacorp; he was something more dangerous, something they couldn’t control. As Cleo’s intentions began to reveal themselves, Rex found himself standing on the precipice of war, not just with the bugs but with forces far greater than he could have imagined.
This was the beginning of a journey through blood-soaked battlefields and treacherous alliances. Along the way, Rex would encounter allies, brilliant, flawed, and unpredictable, and enemies whose ambitions were as sharp as their blades.
These weren’t disposable foes, easily crushed by an overpowered hero. They were cunning, relentless, and human in the most terrifying ways.
But then again, in war, who can truly be called a villain?

I've read to chapter 56 so far and gotta say books like this are why I love reading, AI's, funny but strong mcs, zerg like aliens and wars. doing a great job with the story keeping it fun and interesting while still building the world and keeping the characters progressing. I hope to be able to keep reading til the end. P.S. looking forward to when it's even more crazy wars.
Good novel so far, hopefully Mc stays cold hearted to his enemies early on and potentially adding aspects like early pregnancy with the women and possibly ai in future that will add to the story and character development because what’s a good reason for character development yes it’s unexpected pregnancy and preparing to be a father witch has rarely happened in other novels that wait until epilogue for children(just a suggestion) Really hope u listen to this it could attract more viewers thanks!
Story is quite enjoyable so far (chapter 75), but the actions MC takes seem incredibly stupid. Like he needs money, so let’s start fighting as foot soldiers in a war waged by a megacorp. The same megacorp that already put a bounty on my head and tried to kill me previously. And starts building an entire underground smuggling hub right where they raided a cover secret scheme of said megacorp. Meanwhile he gets paid 50000 credit for a mission where he is supposed to have slain an entire bandit den. Yet having dinner in a restaurant cost 10000 credits? Also it would be nice if there was like an explanation at all of power ranking or even just a power system. Also who even owns and rules these six megacorps? What race are they? Is there even a dominant race? Who are the opposing races? Why is there so little world building when there’s an entire galaxy conquest planned…. The story truly is enjoyable but there’s a lot to be improved in other aspects. Like consistency, world building, character IQ (even if you wanna call the main character stupid, is Cleo also just as dumb to go along and let him make stupid decision after stupid decision? And don’t even get me started on how it’s possible for the megacorp to have such lackluster IQ)
In my opinion, this novel is absolutely INCREDIBLE! From the thrilling space battles to the stunning ships and the fascinating array of creatures, every detail is simply perfect! Keep up that hard work bro, I'm looking forward

R18 Smut and Harem, I don't even get it what the fk Carlos doing at this stage of story with this kind of tag, at this point Carlos might even consider a fvcking member of MC harem.

The author does amazing job with the world. The protagonist is great. The support characters are great. The battles are epic too. The only bad is the time skips between battles. We get virtually no time for character interactions for these great characters. It’s just battle after battle. It starts to feel monotonous. Need some time/events other than battle.
really good work, read until 66 so far and its really good. My only "disappointment" is that u went "hero" route while he has ancient AI and Swarm Princess as a wifes so in my opinion staying lowkey and developing in secret should be more reasonable.

Honestly Sci-fi is by far one of my favorite genres to begin with and this is just one of the ones where I just enjoy it. Usually, I do long drawn-out fancy reviews for most of the things I read (I am a reviewer technically), However I always enjoy just reading something instead of having to review it. I would argue I enjoy this one alongside "The Hivemind is Conquering for me" and "I became an evolving space monster" I just enjoy this novel instead of having to review them so thank you author. truly love this story the only problem that the Mc is 2.5 meters tall which 8 foot he is too tall. it's one thing if he can manipulate his height but being that big just make him a easy target period
