Questionable at best. Even in his first year Harry already decided to stand against Voldemort. So in my opinion Harry would never join the murderer of his parents and the madman that tried to kill his infant self. It's the fundamental difference in their personalities that made Harry stand against him. While both were bullied and abused in their childhood, Tom wanted to become the biggest bully while Harry had an enormous dislike for them. While Tom was selfish and only thought about himself, Harry was selfless and loyal to his friends. There was no way in hell Harry would have ever joined hands with him. With or without Dumbledore's meddling.

With Gellert out and about preparing for who knows what preventing yet another dark lord from appearing was very important. You know, it's been 11months since I made this comment so I'm not sure about the context, but considering it is about Dumbledore I believe it was about something like Dumbledore beingvresponsible for the rise of both European Dark Lords of the 20th century and him believing that only his meddling can prevent it. Sounds like a god complex to me. Especially if we consider all his arrangements for Harry. How is he not misguided?
