When Harry went down to the common room, he was met with an uncomfortable silence. He took his time to actually notice how his friends were looking, and while Blaise and Tracy seemed angry, Daphne looked more hurt for some reason. Harry expected them to start some kind of confrontation but was thankful that they didn't. He had warned them about the common room being bugged by the Court of Slytherin and honestly, he was just too worn out to start a confrontation without even having a chance to drink his morning coffee.

It was hard to describe what was beneath the killer's mask outside of it being monstrous. The twisted face that Harry now stared at was a mix of horror and strangely enough, familiarity, a blend that sent a chill down his spine. The left side of the attacker's face could have been considered handsome, obviously, a male face, with sharp cheekbones and a strong jawline that spoke of noble heritage, marred only by a single scar that cut a thin white line across the olive skin. However, the right side was a stark, nightmarish contrast; it was a ravaged landscape of flesh that spoke of dark curses and deeper pains.

The smiling killer wanted something in the school. They wanted the students to be in danger, for the professors to come running, leaving the school undefended. That thing wanted something from the castle, either kill a student or torture them. Their ability to go through wards would have let them be discreet and kill anyone without an issue. But they wanted a bang, they wanted attention. For what, he did not know and yet he dreaded the answer. Even the Dark Lord did not dare attack the school, not because of Dumbledore, but because it was simply foolish to attack a place where the next generation of wizards and witches lived. No one wanted to be the king of the ashes, after all.

But if a muggle, a squib, or a very weak wizard or witch transform, then their blood magic is so weak that it constantly needs to be replaced, causing their bodies and mind to degenerate, and an extreme hunger for blood. These vampires are called thralls and are often created when powerful vampires need servants of some sort. These creatures adopt some feral trademarks making them wary of powerful scents, like garlic, and easily killed since the magic in their blood is minuscule, a wooden stake to the heart would suffice, hence the rumours."

I'll personally design the rune, and we'll connect it to a magically saturated gem to power it remotely. Daph, I want you to design a plant that would hold an enchantment in the long term, and blend into the surroundings. The enchantment would add the mark to anyone near it, but you don't have to worry about that, I'll be the one designing it. The issue is that we'll need a lot of them, and we'll plant hundreds all over Hogsmeade. We'll also sneak out after I design the ward to carve the runes using your roots, surrounding all of Hogsmeade.

Hogsmeade was definitely going to be attacked, people were probably going to be hurt, but fire was not necessarily going to be the method of attack. Fire is a way the subconscious interprets destruction. It was a shame that he couldn't get a good look at whoever was responsible.

There weren't any books on it, but he was essentially creating an entire type of magic from scratch by analyzing how various spatial expansion charms worked. Harry never really thought about magic schools all that much. There was Hogwarts in Scotland, Beauxbattons in France, Durmstrung in Northern Europe, Castelobruxo in Brazil, Ilvermorny in the United States, Uagadou in Uganda, and Mahoutokoro in Japan. But those were the big ones, the big schools that had graduates that changed the world, that advanced magic. But there had to be smaller schools, especially for people who just didn't speak the language or couldn't get into one of the bigger schools.

Thankfully, there was a silver lining. Harry could transfer schools if he thought he was in too much danger. He had a legal guardian now, and that gave him a lot more options than he had before. There was no need to move to another country just because of a dream, because of a mere possibility.

No, his Arcane Hearing wouldn't help him see his trigger points, but Harry was smart enough to not need it so much. The man outwardly looked fine, but he was more hunched than usual, and walked slower when he was presenting his case. His words were slower than they used to be, and the content lacked the subtlety, to make everyone make their own conclusions and not come up to them on his own.

But an Elder, well, the youngest one was at least a thousand years old, and they were strong. They didn't need blood to live, they could walk in the daylight, and they could somehow use their blood magic to cast normal spells. They could enrapture and hypnotize anyone with a look. Very few people could escape one, let alone beat them. The only solace was the fact that they tended to stay in their own corner and not be involved with anything. Vampires in magical Britain have been rare ever since the hunts over a century ago.
