I apologize for the use of the term while being aware of its demeaning use of the word. I thought long and hard about that choice and decided to go along with it anyway to portrait Flanagan as a person without respect for different cultures. In the future, Uriel refers to Native Americans as such and if you happen to find the term in the mouth of another character it's likely to be a misuse and a mistake on my part I would gladly fix.

Although wendigo hybrids size was small when compared to Luna on her werewolf form, Luna yelped in pain when she received the first bite as the wendigo tore a chunk of flesh with its small mouth. Luna tried to distance herself from the enemies, but their strategy worked too well against her powerful, but clumsy werewolf form.

This is isn't directly mentioned in the story (yet) but Mark approached Uriel pretending to like him to turn him into one of his goons, the intimidation part came after he became Tina's boyfriend
The one good thing about Uriel's poor results was that it distracted them long enough to end their fight and now they were speaking normally again.

I was about to say Uriel's knowledge is limited at this point in time, but this is just him being paranoid.
While he didn't get to find out the location of the entrance, he was able to learn way more than he expected and finding it would be only a matter of time. But that was precisely the issue, if Jon was truly on Easter island looking for the dungeon, it meant that their trip was not only dangerous but also fruitless.

There was a certain allure in motorcycles that cars lacked. Cars were way more useful, but Uriel found out that when riding in the backseat of the bike he was able to see the world through different eyes. Every passerby, every smell, everything felt lifelike and close. It was as though he was running at high speed across the busy streets of his city.
