Mallory's eyes widened at the contents inside, while George's face paled. It was a gun. This wasn't a clothing shop, but one where weapons were bought! Despite the way both Hadeon and the man had earlier spoken, she would have bet they were talking about clothes. The man explained,

You can shop for more things," Mallory suggested, wanting some time off from the pureblooded vampire's possible adventure of the day. "After last night's loss of blood, I feel very weak, Master Hades. My hands were trembling earlier," she lied.

"So that leaves us with three choices. She is either an evolved serphant, or I suddenly am able to consume serphant blood. Or the last one…" Hadeon remarked in a casual tone, yet his eyes were filled with curiosity. "She isn't a serphant, but something else."

Watching Mallory disappear inside the castle, Hadeon explained, "Technically, I shouldn't be able to digest her blood. Serphant's blood is considered poison in our hierarchy. But I wanted to test it out of curiosity, as I hadn't seized the opportunity last time." His tongue ran across one of his fangs, as if remembering the taste of her blood.

"I know. I thought you were being sarcastic, but you really are short of luck. Good for you that I am here with you. I have plenty of luck," Hadeon responded with a bright smile as Mallory's face drained of colour.

"Quite the idea! We shall both hang from the branches," Hadeon proposed with a chuckle, while Mallory quickened her pace until she abruptly stamped something on the ground and let out a curse.

Hadeon chuckled before replying, "I might be bored, but I haven't reached that level of boredom just yet, darling. As for my relationships, there's the hunting ship—those I've hunted. Then there's the acquaintanceship. But the master-servant dynamic? Now, that's a classic. It's my top pick, hands down." He paused, humming thoughtfully. "Why does it feel like you're trying to 'fix' me, monkey?"

Hadeon came to stand before Mallory, and he remarked, "My apologies, but this one is reserved for me. I should get her a little collar with the reservation name. An excellent idea, don't you think?"

"You know I have to drink from somewhere, and it isn't like the monkey is offering to step up for the task. And I don't need to really suck them dry. You want me dead?!" Hadeon gasped, placing his hand on his chest. "Why would you want that, monkey? Why?"
