Follow the path of Dao from infancy

(Read more than 250+ chapters) Author has pretty much ruined everything just to keep MC free and unrestrained. His father became arrogant and stubborn so MC was disappointed with him so he cut ties with entire Li family. Later he went to rescued his mother but unfortunately a demon attacked and she had to fight people to choose who to save between her husband and son. She was emotional didn't choose so they uprooted the chain which was MC using to save himself. In the end MC ended up falling in abyss but he survived. He then cut ties with his mother because of this. Btw he was abandoned by his fiance already.

It's good I give it 4/5. This is just "The Name of Eternity" under a different title, not a new book. Plus the author started breaking the chapters up into small chunks. 😑

This was almost a great story, but it was ultimately ruined by the author's obsession with making MC have no connection to anyone or anything. I gave up around chapter 200. The characters, world, & plotlines were fantastic up until the dad returned. Then, he loses his fiance, his dad, and leaves everyone he's ever known, all for nothing. From what others have said, he'll even cut ties with his mother. Even if the author wanted to create a little drama and still have MC venture out on his own, it could have been done in a better way. For instance: - After dad returns, have them not always see eye-to-eye but slowly build a relationship. - During the dragon ruler competition, have him beat his cousin senseless, but not try to kill him. Then, with no one complaining, he could reveal what his aunt did. Making it clear that he's not just trying to get out of killing his cousin. - When pressed for evidence, the second uncle, Feng, or MC could then have/show up with a letter or something they intercepted between the Buddhist temple and the aunt. Proving that there was collusion. More investigation may be needed but it's a start. - Someone could then insult MCs mom, leading him to confront his dad and learn that she's alive. They get in an argument but ultimately MC decides to go himself to see her. Dad doesn't allow him and says that if he wants to go, he has to prove his strength by first retaking a now abandoned northern gate within 3 years. - MC leaves on mostly good terms, still ends up at the same place, but isn't a miserable sack of s**t. That's one of the countless ways this could have been done better. Ultimately, it's a huge let down that this story went the way it did because it had so much potential.

i liked the Story. I liked Haotian's character for a while, albeit too passive. He can get ruthless when really provoked though. Translation is readable, As usual there's alot of gender mix ups, some characters like Ji Xianshen were only introduced as Ji or translated their name literally into Ji Mysterious God. the writing is pretty roundabout, idk how to describe it. it's like reading some kind of poem 24/7? Author glazes the effects and appearances of attacks alot more than simply saying what the attack actually does. you'll see the word 'Divine' alot... The Family drama was entertaining and frustrating, MCs Father was just insufferable and the textbook definition of stubborn. The Mother was... idk, she betrayed the MC but didn't really have an actual choice tbh. The situation was dire and she was outnumbered. had she tried to defend both most likely all three would've died, MC and the dad from falling and the mom turned into a blood mist by the Grand Tao of Peace realm prisoner there. still it was nice to see MC not forgiving them afterall he went through. after he got in the Allheaven Saint lands it got a bit meh, Not to mention the chapters more often than not were split into more than 4 parts, It was one enemy after another that Haotian couldn't really deal with. alot of unlikeable characters (I enjoyed seeing humbled) appeared. Oh yeah there was Bian Ruxue too, I didn't really hate her that much. she just chose her path and stuff, But i won't lie i WILL be disappointed if she gets together with Haotian after how indifferently she cut off Haotian so easily, Only to just regret all of it when he turned out to still be stronger and have a better swordsmanship. She can pursue the sword all she wants but don't let her pursue MC, Lin Qinying is far better option despite having been barely introduced.
