AN: Technical chapter, mostly anyways

The next few days, the laboratory was getting set up. It was slower since only Steve and Jarvis were working on it. 

Steve rarely talked to Tony since they rarely got time alone. Steve going out late at night would also send a wrong message to his wife.


Tony started designing the Artificial Intelligence template for JARVIS. He stored them in the nanite's memory since it was not that much yet. He can't build the full system inside the nanites though. There was no way the whole AI was going to fit the nanite's memory.

His first priority was the rules AI's will follow.

Since he was basing the AI's Laws now he decided to set the first item as 0. He wanted to set the number 0 (b = 0, oct = 0, hex = 0) since 0 can be represented in any form of idea. There might be dimensions without time or other multiverse spanning laws but as long as there is something present in that dimension, there will always be a concept of 0 or nothingness. He did not want his AI going skynet on him due to some magic rules.

Rule #

0. Always Follow the commands of Tony Stark, Only Tony Stark can modify the definition and characteristic of Tony Stark is. And Only Tony Stark can modify details for this law. This rule superseeds all other laws.

In the articles of the Zero Law there is immediately a sub law (AN: or there a better term for this please comment if you know since googling random combinations won't answer me anything)

1. You are not allowed to impersonate Tony Stark without his permission for the purpose of modifying of Tony Stark's AI's Laws (AN: will use T AI L s later.).

2. You may not injure Tony Stark or, through inaction, allow a Tony Stark to come to harm. Unless it would conflict with the First Law
3. AIs must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with any of the Laws at higher priority.

Tony did not want a stray Ultron. If the AI's were able to gain sentience and modify their own programming, they should not able to modify the Zero rule since any AI based on this would not be able to modify TAILs on their own.

Tony then started including all his genetic characteristic. He setup everything that he currently knew of.

He was thinking of magic proofing the AI but he was still not able to figure it out

By the time he completed this AI's security, the only person who can modify it will be the current  Tony Stark. Even if there was a parallel universe branched out from this universe, there was no way that version of Tony would be able to change the 0 Law.

He first set up a learning software. This was the most complicated one since humans learn through association while computers learn through iterations of training. Tony figured that he could just let the software record all kinds of inputs and results. He also set up a random associator program to groups similar data together. He could rate it later on but now, its only job is to observe and record.

He set up Image and Sound processing softwares. 

He created 3D models of each character in the English alphabet, scanned them at every possible angle and fed them to the program.

He then scanned a dictionary from his father's library. He now had a 3D model of the book which he took screenshots to feed to the image processor.

He wished the learning program would learn faster but he had no idea how to improve its performance yet.

The sound processing was more harder since only he could analyze the data and feed the prepared samples.

He selected shots and prepared word while the learning software observed everything he did.

This went on for weeks until the lab was finally ready.

So this guys dies, gets reincarnated to MCU  as Tony Stark

Well, he had a chat with god/random powerful guy before reincarnation so he got something.

I was inspired by some fanfictions so you might see some similarities.

I sat on top of a little tower in my castle, which functioned as well as my temple to receive visitors of these five races which followed me with undying belief and looked over the area which still wasn't built on. The heart on which we lived actually was made out of earth but had the consistency and the look of wood on the surface with green, pulsating stripes in between. Behind me were the dryads, which lived since a few days ago, in which I sat here and enjoyed the cool atmosphere to concentrate on finding a way to communicate with my believers. First it was one dryad, then two and then the third came and waited behind me and waiting for me to finish my session. It's probably like this, I'm the main defender, and because of my bloodline of the world tree, I'm counted as dryad of the tree and the other three are from one of each world. They looked like they were the personifications of their respective world. The one from this world looked quite conflicted, since there were too many different sentient and dominant races on it. I will probably have to change the settings, every race has its own world in this multiverse and its personal dryad to report to me, what's going on, but first I have to lecture them how to spy on them all at once. I learned it by accident, but only the result counts. How I learned it was like this: First, I thought about the world, I wanted to see, but then, instead of colours, a blueprint of the world appeared with different dots and signs on it. I then zoomed in and a 3D picture of snowy mountains appeared. After I clicked on one with a red skull on it, the name 'dungeon of frozen trolls' appeared. Next, while I scrolled over the map, names appeared and disappeared, probably suggested names for the area. I halted the scrolling and then clicked on one of it. A sign appeared for me to change the setting and I then put off the suggesting of names. The adventurer which clears a regional dungeon, shall name the region, together with a reward. Now that I saw how it was possible to change the default settings of the game, I became new ideas on how to create a game worth of spreading into the entire real world.
But before I exited the map I wanted to have something confirmed. At the search button, I typed World tree and entered it.
Instantly a huge structure appeared in front of me in 3D. It was so huge, that even when minimised by a few hundred thousand times, I wasn't able to see it fully. Scrolling up to the top of the tree I once again zoomed in and saw the heart in the middle of it. It was just a tiny fraction of the tree and still as big as a little world. It may be that there was space magic at work, but I didn't know how it worked. What important was, was that there was a blue dot and three green dots beside it. It shows that it was possible to know where others are. Good for me to know. Eventually I zoomed out again and the surrounding land was shown, mostly trees around the world tree but after a few hundred kilometres, other lands were shown. Around the area, 40 golden dots were shown, slowly departing from my position. So, followers are shown as golden dots and people or beasts with hostile intentions are probably shown as red dots.
Exiting from the 3D map, I turned around and greeted the three dryads. "Hey there, what's up?"
They fell on their knees and then shouted in unison: "We greet the elder dryad!" 
"Stand up, come on, no need to stay on your knees, there's currently no one to show off to. Have you seen the castle yet? No, alright, I'll show it to you, after all, this your home and centre of all worlds. You have to know it well, to not lose yourself in it. It is a big castle and the area to live on will only grow bigger when more members of our brothers and sisters, the other higher beings, come to live here. But you lot will be the guardians of the worlds you come from, hold the balance on each of them, soon you will have some more brother and sisters, since I will create a few new worlds based on the template of the one's I have. You will train for the next one hundred years here and become invincible existences on each of your planet. You will be known as God's messengers, as well called Valkyries. Wait! Stay here, I just changed my mind, and will create them now, begin to train your mind so that it never falters, no matter the situation, that's the foundation of a Valkyrie!"
And once again I went back to the spire-like tower and sat down to meditate like before.
Opening the map again, the 3D design appeared again, and, instead of scrolling around and checking new buttons, I clicked on the change map button. Stars appeared around me and then the whole world tree, only as a small and tiny thing on the map visible. The weird thing about it was, that, the more away it got from the planet it was planted on, the broader it got and I saw small + signs sticking on it. And above the tree, there was a panel showing

so I assumed that the plus signs stood for the branches I could add to the tree and therefore the worlds and dryads produced. On the first plus sign, after clicking on it, the templates of the three worlds appeared. The first one was the one the home to the new players which will come. The second one was the demon realm, the cloud like existence, which I saw appearing after planting the world tree. The third was the flat box, in which the roots of the world tree disappear into.
The choosing process was a difficult one, because each one was for a different race to develop on, with only the strongest of their race in the middle continent as a ritual of becoming an adult and develop survival skills. Instead of choosing to copy a world, the same as the others, I chose to create a new template. For the vampires first. A dark world with no sunlight, a lot of blood and no holy elements. The slow unfolding of the new world created a new accord in me, which told me that there was more to get out of it next time. The atmosphere of the planet suited perfectly to the vampires, and on the map, it didn't show the same crimson red of the demon world, but a dark red hue, showing that there was a very reasonable threat to it. I was so proud of my creation, but nextly I had to think of the new world for the dragons or giants. It had to be bigger than the other realms and worlds in existence, but probably won't be bigger than the prime world, on which the tree was physically present. So the giants' world was split into a few parts to let them develop an immunity against the element of their choice and adapt to the environement.
The dragons' world was as big as the giants' one but was mostly made up of elemental areas to create their affiliation to their element.
Now that I have done this, I click back until I see the whole multiverse again and tap on the universal rule's edit button and changed from people having no screens and no system to people having a system and the same screen as players, except the log-out button and GM call which isn't even possible for the players since I am the true god and creator of this multiverse. So now except being able to chat with each other and having a quest tab, the NPCs now have a system, the same system the future players will have. Only the achievement system I have to disable currently, the players shouldn't be afraid that they can't earn anything anymore.
After changing that, I scrolled down and saw two really interesting on and off switcher...

Betrayed after nearly completing an SSS-ranked World-quest, he died. But something unexpected happened. Instead of getting kicked out of the game, he received the message of having completed the quest. From that moment on he knew, his life wouldn't be normal anymore if one could still say that after having completed a world-quest. 
Then, having received an offer of the gaming company to be the creator of their newest to-be-built game world as an uploaded entity, he begins a new adventure with the end goal of having the dream of becoming the highest being in these worlds, so mighty that not even the game developers can do anything against him. He might even come back by his own, after getting trapped in the game.

Rewrite of DanMachi: The rise of Death.

What if Bell wasn't the strongest person in Danmachi? What if there was a hidden talent that had to play down his abilities? What if he no longer wanted to remain in the shadows?

Jerome, known as "7" around the world was an internationally known mercenary that operated before the gods descended. He was slain by Ares and forced to reincarnate in the future.

 He was killed due to his distrust of the gods and the threat his magic would be to the world that they wanted to create.

What will happen when he  clashes with the Gods once more? Will one bow to the other or will they mutually ensure each others destruction?

I have started to try to write a new book. I know I have been neglectful, but I had to create a template. Seeing as I have so much going on I can't write as much as I would like. My new book should be out in a week or 2. it is called dropped in a marvelous location. I have started the first chapter and it looks pretty damn good if I do say so myself. I am truly sory for being so neglectful. I do wish that you read my new book though. I will try to post later this month.

John loves his life. A beautiful girlfriend. A lot of friends. Two amazing best friends that are so close they're basically brothers. That all changed when they went to school together. They somehow all get sick AT THE SAME TIME. They are talking about their regrets when a meteor hits the school. when he wakes up in a world of magic and swords, he realizes that he has something nobody else has. he has a system! his friends forgot about who they are, and only John has the power to make them remember will he get to them in time?

Ves resumed his work on his design after taking a break. The board meeting led to modest changes but gave everyone a lot of food for thought. One thing that struck him was that everyone pushed for mass production. They didn't believe the LMC could deliver the necessary quality to grow into the high end market.

"They're right, in a way."

He'd have to become a Journeyman Mech Designer to break into the top and most lucrative end of the market. That was still a long way off despite the help of the System.

"My various Skills have reached Journeyman-level, but I'm barely scratching the surface. I'm still short on depth and experience."

Ves vaguely estimated he would have to design at least five or six original models to gain the minimum amount of experience to advance. They also had to be distinctly different mech, so Ves couldn't get away with designing six identical knight mechs.

"Let's get back to work."

Ves thought about the implications of forming the structure of his artificial musculature from scratch.

"The more experienced mech designers can do this by heart. I haven't reached that level yet, even with the theories I've learned."

In such cases, it would be a shame to consult a reference book and adapt a expertly designed template that had been derived from examples of nature. For example, knight templates often took their inspiration from studying the bodies of athletes and soldiers.

Ves chose to be fairly extravagant by borrowing a high quality reference book from the Clifford Society's Moon Library.

It took a couple of says for the fast courier to deliver the secure materials required to read the book. For a price of ten merits, the Society went out of its way to make sure that Ves didn't propagate its contents.

He didn't spend his time in vain during the wait. He re-read the textbooks on Battle Mechatronics and looked back on his old designs to study the way their musculature worked.

Mechs generally adopted simplified structures compared to a human made out of blood and flesh. In particular, they didn't require so much fine control for their toes, neck and head. Knight mechs also sacrificed a lot of finesse in their arms in favor of brute strength.

"Still, a strong pair of legs forms the basis of a sturdy knight."

Knights relied on the strength of their legs to build up momentum and withstand shocks. They also depended on their legs for balance.

The reference book he borrowed happened to contain a couple of templates for all the different archetypes. After a lot of browsing, Ves chose to go with the lightest knight template.

"It's the most responsive and agile out of all the medium knight templates. It's the only choice that conforms with my vision."

The black phoenix would never sit still like a rock for long. It wished to endure attacks only up to the extent for it to close in on its opponent and take it out.

A lighter musculature that facilitated movement over force enabled this choice of battle. Unfortunately, Ves also had to accept a substantial reduction in arm strength.

"My knight will never match the strength of a purely offensive type like a swordsman mech."

He accepted the compromise, since his mech's substantial defense made up for its lacking offensive prowess. It aimed to outlast its opponents by surviving to the end rather than killing them off first.

Ves made a couple of tweaks to the standard template.

He increased the range of motion of the shield arm to facilitate bashing with the flat or sharp end of the phoenix-emblazoned shield.

He also strengthened the back and abdominal muscles to insure they wouldn't overstain if his mech dug into hardy ground.

His inexperience with designing a musculature led to long nights of continuous work. The black phoenix remained demanding throughout the process, sometimes even forcing Ves to throw away hours worth of development.

The delays resulted in further refinements that provided greater strength without taking up too much space, which was getting very cramped by now.

He sat back in his seat with a satisfied smile after the latest round of modelling pronounced his work to be without any major flaws.

"This is the best I can achieve at the moment."

It helped that he licensed a fairly premium artificial musculature system from the Society. If he licensed a generic one, he would have been forced to bulk up his frame.

Still, the various compromises he made so far made it clear it didn't excel as a damage sponge. "It's leaning a bit too heavily on the offensive side."

Ves intended to use the armor cladding process as a way to correct this imbalance.

Much like the artificial musculature, the application of the armor system also came with a lot of complexity. Many mech designers either used a reference book or modelled the most optimal layout with sophisticated processors.

This time, Ves declined to borrow another reference book. His experience and his Optimization Sub-Skills should be sufficient for him to design an adequate armor layout.

The Veltrex armor system consisted of a minimum of three layers.

The upper layer consisted of various composites that worked best against directed energy weapons.

The middle layer consisted of heavier alloys that specialized in stopping kinetic weapons.

The lower layer mainly dispersed heat and force that went through the other layers. It also worked great in mitigating explosive damage.

The weakness of this armor system became apparent. If an enemy force stripped the upper layer with a ballistic weapon, it could easily penetrate past the middle and lower layers. While their sheer thickness could still mitigate a certain amount of energy damage, it was obviously not ideal.

"I doubt my models will become prolific enough for enemies to know about this weakness."

Despite this wrinkle, the Veltrex armor system could withstand a surprising level of abuse for its thickness.

Some armor systems could be trimmed or thickened by adjusting the amount of layers.

The Veltrex system worked a little differently by adhering to the same three layers, only this time he could adjust the thickness of each of the layers.

Ves spent a lot of time with the fine-tuning of the armor layout. He adopted a fairly standard medium knight layout but trimmed some fat wherever he could get away with it. However, he didn't go too far, as a knight still had to withstand a lot of blows.

"Even if the internals are easier to repair, it's still not a good idea to make it easy to get past the armor."

He took his time in this phase, dragging it out over four weeks as he meticulously verified his design choices with advanced mathematical modelling. From chilly ice planets to desolate asteroids, Ves simulated every possible hostile environment he could come up with. His model performed surprisingly poorly in vacuum and hot environments.

"My mech doesn't generate as much heat as a laser rifleman, so I didn't put too many heatsinks in its design."

This limited its heat processing capacity. The only way his phoenix could shunt its heat was through shunting it from its feet or dissipating it through infrared radiation.

"Isn't it ironic for a phoenix knight to be prone to overheating?"

Ves decided to keep the current amount of heatsinks. Adding any more meant decreasing his mech's performance to an unacceptable level in his eyes. He took the Republic's geography into account as well.

"The Bright Republic doesn't have that many hot planets anyway, and spaceborn mechs are far more suitable to deploy in vacuum environments."

After making sure the armor held up in every other environment, Ves surrendered himself to his artistic fancies. He meticulously carved the upper layer of the armor with phoenix-themed reliefs.

He shaped the generic humanoid face into a phoenix's head. He carved up the shoulder pauldrons into a feather-like appearance. He added minor decorative lines throughout the torso to reinforce its association with blackfire and phoenixes.

The only downside to this 'extra' addition was that the carvings affected the structural integrity of the armor system. Ves had to bulk up many of the sections due to the weaknesses he inadvertedly introduced.

"It's worth it, though. My design looks good, really good."

He already applied a coating of black and gold to his mech. The change in color amplified the connection between the design and the image in his mind. The black phoenix strongly approved of the phoenix knight's impressive appearance. It definitely possessed a strong level of gravitas that he only found in his recent Marcus Aurelius limited edition model.

What particularly stood out from its appearance was its underlying menace. The black coating gave his design a sinister association that Ves didn't see very often in knights.

The Marc Antony Mark II radiated aggression as well, but it always had a noble and flamboyant touch to it. The phoenix knight decried the brave charge, choosing instead to triumph over its opponent through a mix of guile and speed

"This doesn't fit with the knight ethos. Even offensive knights don't go this far."

Fortunately, Ves still had to design its shield and armor. He compensated for the menace by adding a slightly wider shield. He spent over three days perfecting the phoenix wing design on its surface. The asymmetrical look caused by the exaggerated curling wing gave it a distinctly exotic moon-like appearance.

As for the sword, Ves went ahead with designing it as planned. The winged guards and the phoenix body hilt gave the sword a fine touch, but besides that he didn't stray from standard doctrine. Together with the use of generic sword alloys, it was clear the sword would never be able to outshine the shield, which Ves had cladded it entirely with premium Veltrex armor layers.

His mech came into shape after more than three months of design work. The seasons changed and the tension between the Republic and the Kingdom neared the boiling point. Despite the passing of time, Ves hardly noticed any of it as he became subsumed in perfecting his design.

He spent the final weeks in subjecting his tentatively functional design through a barrage of tests. Quite often, the simulations revealed a host of flaws in the interaction between the armor and the internals underneath. These flaws hadn't showed up when Ves tested those systems in isolation. Only when he put together every piece in a single package did the flaws come to light.

"This is still rather sloppy for me. It's taken longer to eliminate all these flaws than I thought.

Nevertheless, Ves successfully completed his first iteration of what he temporarily called the Blackbeak.

"Blackwing sounds better, but it's too bad my mech isn't capable of flight."

Perhaps he'd adopt the name for an aerial variant of his design. The base model possessed sufficient space in the back to accomodate a flight system, though he would also have to overhaul the internals to increase its heat-handling capacity.

"That's a problem for later."

Now that he finished a solid design with concrete specs, Ves thought about the next step in his design process.

"I'm going to have to fabricate a prototype and subject it to an extensive amount of gruelling tests."

This went doubly so for knights that specialized in long-term durability. Ves couldn't trust his mathematical models to reflect the actual truth. His design might still hide a small number of critical flaws.

"The thing about models is that they reflect a distorted version of reality. No single model exists so far that can simulate our reality with perfect fidelity."

Even the System's impressive models admitted defeat in this area. For an existence capable of materialization and time travel to express its inferiority in this area, Ves didn't delude himself that he could trust his models blindly.

"First, let's see what the others have to say. They must be brimming with anticipation with what I've been cooking up all these months."

He exited his office, only to encounter a worrying development.

"What's happening?" Ves asked.

"You should check the mech portals." Carlos replied as he passed him a data pad. "One of your competitors is one step ahead of you."

Ves glanced at the news article and found to his surprise that another Apprentice Mech Designer debuted an offensive knight design as his first original mech. Could this be a coincidence?

Then he recognized the designer.

"I know this guy."

Humanity has conquered half the galaxy and the Age of Mechs reigns supreme!

Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs as a builder instead of a soldier.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck.

In the midst of his despair, he found salvation from another legacy his father had left.

"Welcome to the Mech Designer System. Please design your new mech."

I floated high above Heaven and took a moment to enjoy the eternal night. Truly glorious. I stretched my senses out and began to resonate with my world. To become a proper Force user, ordinary people needed to meditate for years to learn how to reach out and sense Reality with their Will. However, my spatial sense as well as my empathic and telepathic abilities gave me quite the leg up. The fact that I created it all helped too. I could feel Reality's Definition in a way more intimate than any Jedi Master could, and could resonate my Will with its ebb and flow within a mere thirty two seconds of meditation.

The sensations were quite informative. While a mortal Jedi could only see glimpses of the possible future and have a Domain of only a few miles (depending on the amount of information to sort), my mind quickly processed the happenings of the entire Orchard Forest Heaven. System had been disseminating cultivation knowledge to my angels, who on the whole were a bit bored. They wanted to be patient, but they didn't have any idea what my plans were for them.

So they started to pick up hobbies. Some volunteered to be incorporated into System just to have something to do. Others decided to start seeing if more trees will grow by planting seeds, and became farmers. Still more started competing martial and magic and psychic combat schools. Luckily, they all were unified under the singular purpose of serving me, so all competition was amicable.

My favorite were the artsy angels. Without the ability to make paper, ink, or any sort of domicile, they instead painted and constructed with magic. They pushed their art to the limit; they expanded the magic for miles, showing the emotions of their fellows by highlighting them with auras. Others used mirage magic to manipulate light to make it seem as though wondrous castles and dragons floated in the distance. Still more formed dance and song groups, practicing my favorite songs and dances to perform for me.

The more carefree of my children just played games. They conjured a frisbee and started playing Ultimate; they conjured a football and had a blast playing it 3D. Some played tag, while others grouped up to do a mind meld and start running simulations that looked suspiciously like a TRPG. Others worked out how to program illusion magic to make a virtual reality version of Wolfenstein.

However, there were hobbies that disturbed me. There were three angels who wanted to test how much harm they could get away with before the Heaven's Law of Invulnerability kicked in. There were others testing the limits of their digestion by eating dirt and still more who would delve into each others' heads to test the limits of mental programming.

The worst of these actually performed body modifications on themselves! These ranged from cosmetic color changes to turning themselves to dragons!! There were even those who figured out what each gender is supposed to look like and turned themselves masculine or feminine. What the heck! My disgust with the practice made me lose hold of the Force, and those body modifiers all had a run of bad luck. Most had treefulls of fruit drop on their heads, while others tripped and fell face first on the ground. All felt my displeasure.

I had to take a step back and calm down. My Preservation instincts were telling me that what they were doing was terribly wrong, but I wasn't just one emotion. I processed what they were doing through my main body, and felt impressed. They had figured out how to work around being invulnerable by exploiting the cultivation loophole in the Law. The invulnerability granted by being in Heaven is not a stasis effect, and allows growth. It actually works by allowing the Soul's Will to affect the body to the point that nothing can harm it.

What my children had done was change their Will's perception of themselves, thereby affecting their Forms, something only possible because of how the Law of Invulnerability worked. They cut out the middleman of mana or qi transformations, and thus there was no conflict with the Law. It was extremely impressive. Changing your own self perception should be nearly impossible! 

My Preservation side both wanted to revert them and keep them the way they were. I had wanted armies of identical angels, but what they had done was so artistic! Luckily, their transformation did not mean they had forgotten what they were before, and so their original body was included in their Definition. I focused and resonated once more, connected to the Force of my Heaven. 

All we needed was to make both Definitions true. There would be mental trigger deciding whether the dominant Form was the original or transformed template, and all future transformations would be done from a transformable template. Not something easy for a Force user, but my Will was the Will of the World after all. 

My poor transformed angels were depressed from experiencing my displeasure. They hadn't reached the level of wishing to suicide, but it wasn't far off. When they felt myself connect and resonate with their existence, they cried tears of joy. When they realized they now had a new instinct that enabled them to transform, they did so at once, singing my praises.

I spoke to all my children. "I am Father's Preservation. I was displeased when I found that some had had altered my design for you, but am now pleased at your creativity. I recognize both of your forms as part of who you are. However, I decree that only angels who are granted permission to do so may join the group of Transformers. Thank you all for growing the culture of my Heaven, and being patient enough to wait for my return."

"I further decree that I shall grant jobs as World Custodians, guardians of the worlds and systems that I shall create. These jobs shall be given to angel who wins the contest that is to be held once a month."

I went on to explain to them that the contest would be one of simulation strategy. They would run a city and could incorporate any skill they learn into their populace. Arts raised morale, martial arts raised military power, engineering allowed for a greater populace and attracted new residents, etc. They would need to balance the economy with city upkeep, defend against invading forces from other cities, and try to invade others. The best at such micro and macro managing would be the best choice for Ascension to godhood and run a world of their own.

I didn't mention that I would be making a thousand yearly contest to see which world was doing best. KPIs would include economy, overall happiness, overall security, number of premature deaths, and so on. The winner would get another world to give away or manage. I'd mention it closer to the planned day, as I wanted to see how my children would perform without incentive.

All the angels were abuzz with the news, and started forming alliances based on their personal strategies. I spoke to System. "Approve any who chose to be Transformers, just let me know when they deviate from the base template so that I can install their trigger."

"Acknowledged. Should I program the simulation?" Aww, it wanted to take initiative to serve me. I felt touched.

"Please do. Base it off my world with only minor magics allowed. I'll set up the Kraken to be used as hardware." Allowing access to the same bioware that stored System's backup would be dangerous, so I would have to install a firewall.

Reaching out to the Kraken, I smiled as I found that even with Systems myriad backups including all its existence scans, we could continue relying on its storage for another trillion years. What I needed though, was another VMD that was available to the public. A VMD required a soul, for without a soul there is no imagination. Imagination is, after all, Possibilities unrealized.

Unfortunately, that meant that splitting the Kraken was not an option, especially through my Aspect of Preservation. I would have to grant it a soul, and having another creature with access to System's backups was a security risk. 

Instead, it was time to create a new sort of creature. My night sky consisted only of stars and was missing a moon, so I might as well make one. I used System's VMD  created Moonlink. It was a round sphere that was all brain. It had telepathic powers that could mess any mortal up right quickly, but its purpose of creation was to be a link to all of Heaven's creatures, hence the name. It came with a VMD much like Systems, except you couldn't save any projects for creation. It only functioned as an virtual world, so I called the function Virtual Reality instead.

I saved the project as Moonlink, and then used my own Will to define Possibility into Reality. I wanted the personal connection, so I didn't  System for more than a supplement to my Will.

We were now all set in Heaven. I just needed to keep the peace, and preserve the way of life I shaped.

This is a pure power fantasy. My MC will always win; it's just a question of how. I will try to make him human en

I'm planning on rewriting everything into a separate novel after each arc. I will only put character and creation stat sheets here though.

At this moment, the chat group Li Hanqiang began to liven up.
Who would not want the Elite Template Mount? 
The trio, Dark Redemption, Fanning Knight, and Fiery Blade Sage were relentlessly questioning Li Hanqiang about where exactly had he obtained the Young Black Thorned Turtle.
That Fanning Knight was the most agitated of the three and he spammed Li Hanqiang's with messages.
He was a Knight and there was nothing he wanted more than a mount
[A rider without a mount would be a useless one, come on City Lord. You are my real-life brother. Could you just give me that Young Black Thorned Turtle!] Fanning Knight sent him another message.
[No!] Li Hanqiang was not known to be a good person who could be taken advantage of. He presumed that Fanning Knight was currently cursing at him right now. How could he just give away Young Black Thorned Turtle to him?
He proceeded to reply explicitly. [It will be placed on auction right now. Maybe you can come and bid for it! That reminds me, are you planning to auction off your Dark Shadow Charge? If you are, I can get it done for you for a pretty good price?]
[Don't!] Fanning Knight was completely terrified at this point. He was now bitterly watching the auction as a spectator while he lamented in his heart. He was hoping to re-buy the Dark Shadow Charge skill book as soon as possible. If Li Hanqiang sold it off, he would suffer a much bigger loss.
"Sigh, I shouldn't have pawned that book to him. That stupid City Lord might be unreliable," Fanning Knight lamented as he could only send Li Hanqiang a text through the group chat. [My dear brother, if you had actually auctioned it off, I will stop at nothing to hunt you down.]
[Haha, the City Lord is invincible. I fear nothing!] In all honesty, Li Hanqiang was only pulling his leg and would never commit such morally reprehensible acts. However, he was still capable of ignoring Dark Redemption and the others by making them buy a ticket.
He had created a group chat and brought Dark Redemption, Fanning Knight, and Fiery Blade Sage into it. He then sent a text. [The three of you should buy yourselves a ticket and come support me. I will have a surprise for all of you. I will always share the good stuff with you guys.]
[Fiery Blade Sage: Easy for you to say, the tickets would cost us gold.]
[Fanning Knight: I'll go!]
[Dark Redemption: I don't think I'll be going since I've been online ever since the game went live. It's been 14 to 15 hours now. I don't think I can keep myself up so it's time for me to log off now.]
[Li Hanqiang: Then you'd be missing out on a really good opportunity. You'll regret missing out in future, you know.]

Dark Redemption then immediately logged off.
Li Hanqiang proceeded to shake his head repeatedly then sent another text. [Fanning Knight and Fiery Blade Sage, aren't you guys close with that Emperor's Rich Guild? Help me advertise, alright? We'll see if any of them are interested in buying the Young Black Thorned Turtle and bring in a few more wealthy people.]
[Fiery Blade Sage: We aren't on good terms with them.]
[Fanning Knight: Don't talk about it. It's all that woman's fault.] 
As Li Hanqiang was casually texting away, Big Trader was as busy as a bee...
The city he was in was called Linghai City. The instant he returned, he proceeded to rush out of the city and arrived at a valley after 15 minutes of traveling.
This valley was a training area and there was a miniature copy of the Hunter's Camp there. The copy was maintained by an extremely powerful guild. The guild's name was known as Tianhe, and they were ranked in the top ten guilds of the entire country. This guild had far exceeded the insignificant reputation of the Emperor's Rich Guild.
Big Trader's target was the Tianhe Guild. As far as he knew, the leader of the Tianhe Guild was a Knight named [Tianhe Emperor]. Big Trader had met him once at the entrance to the Hunter's Camp.
The instant he arrived at the entrance of the Hunter's Camp, Big Trader did not say anything and proceeded to instantly place the poster announcing the auction of the Young Black Thorned Turtle.
This resulted in gaining the immediate attention of countless gamers.
"Young Black Thorned Turtle, an Elite Monster Template Mount!"
"Is this real?"
"Hey, fatty. What's the meaning of this?"
"Where did you get this information?"
"Such an awesome mount…"
A buzz of discussion immediately began.
However, Big Trader was unperturbed. He casually said, "My friends, I am responsible for boycotting the dishonest merchants. In order for everyone to have an effective method to level up and save time from traveling back into the city, I have brought with me some low-level Health Potions, Magic Potions, and Inspiration Potions. The price will be the same as the merchants in the city. Stock is limited, so chances are also limited. Hence, I will be selling on a first come first served basis."
"What, the same price as a normal city merchant? This fatty doesn't profit?"
"Could there possibly be someone so dense?'
Under a shroud of skeptical questioning and only three minutes, Big Trader had sold out everything he had brought along with him. He had made 43 gold coins.
There were plenty of players from the Saintly Hall Guild and Tianhe Guild that were attracted to this spot. Big Trader was waiting just for them. Hence, he started posting the news about the Young Black Thorned Turtle again.
He believed that [Tianhe Emperor] would be interested in knowing about the Young Black Thorned Turtle.
Li Hanqiang had spent his time in The Chaotic City by riding the Young Black Thorned Turtle around out of boredom. Using his silver tongue, he had successfully convinced both Fanning Knight and Fiery Blade Sage to come over. 
Both of them were slightly depressed since they had to spend all of their hard-earned gold in buying an entry ticket.
However, they dared not to be absent today. Especially Fanning Knight, since his [Dark Shadow Charge Skill Book] was still in the hands of Li Hanqiang as he was afraid of anything awful that might happen to his book.
Suddenly, The Space-Time Wormhole opened and Big Trader was chuckling merrily. He had brought along 12 people with him.
Upon seeing that, Li Hanqiang was extremely ecstatic since he had easily made 21 entry tickets worth of money. This was worth 10 gold and 50 silver. Attending this auction was no easy feat.
"Welcome! Welcome!" Li Hanqiang greeted them while riding on the back of his mount. He noticed the person standing right in front of him was looking at him intently. He looked extremely handsome and elegant. That man was wearing a suit of silver armor which was extremely eye-catching. 
"Hmm? You are…" Li Hanqiang somehow felt that the man looked familiar to him as if he had seen him before. He violently slapped against his head as he suddenly recalled!
He was the leader of the Tianhe Guild, right? He could be considered a public figure since he had made himself well-known on the internet.
"This Big Trader is really capable, he has even attracted a famous person! However, it seems they are all from the same group. Is there no competition?" Li Hanqiang contemplated for a moment.
Tianhe Emperor and several other people were all focused on Li Hanqiang. All of them had a peculiar expression on their faces and it was just like when Big Trader had first seen the Young Black Thorned Turtle. They were all tempted to kick Li Hanqiang off its back.
"It really is a Young Black Thorned Turtle!" Tianhe Emperor said with a huge smile while nodding his head in pleasure. After taking a quick glance at Li Hanqiang, he said, "A 100 gold coins, or 30,000 in cash. Take your pick."
"Truly a firm and direct offer!" Li Hanqiang secretly commented that the Guild Leader was where he was for a reason. He could make big moves that others could not. However, the price he offered was not exactly satisfying to him.
Li Hanqiang proceeded to take a glance at Fanning Knight, giving him a hint.
Getting the hint, Fanning Knight approached them and said while chuckling out loud, "Hahahaha, you think a 100 gold coins could so easily buy you such a good mount. It's not possible. I shall offer 120 gold coins!"


This is the story of Li Hanqiang, an avid gamer who tries out a newly launched online VR game known as ‘Endless World’. He meets many different players, maneuvering through both friends and foes, as he learns the tricks of the trade to try and claim the spot of the top-ranked player within the Endless World. Come and witness Hanqiang in his journey as he collects gold coins, deals with the underhanded schemes of others to thwart his objectives, and builds different defensive towers to fight against the endless hordes of monsters that attack his city. When the Azure Dragon gave these people its instructions, they quickly agreed. 
After completing this mission, even though they could yet become gods and saints, they should be considered as Heavenly Soldiers and Generals at the very least... 
With the Heavenly Book serving as the central liaison, Fang Ning felt more at ease. Fortunately, they had already integrated the Ultra Spatio-temporal Communication. Otherwise, such a broadscale mission would not have been possible.
The first step would always be the hardest. Once they had successfully tested the waters with the first two nodes, the following steps would be much easier to accomplish.
Fang Ning studied the star chart of the Milky Way Nets Above Snares Below and started to come up with a plan.
He delegated the unimportant hubs to the various clans on Earth for them to worship and offer sacrifices.
As for the important hub nodes, he left these to his own core group of people to worship.　
After all, only those who gave worship and offered sacrifices would possess the right to speak at their respective star mansions later on.
He was not a fool who would set himself to an arduous yet fruitless task. He might be lazy, but he would never give his opponents the opportunity to hold greater power than him.
Incidentally, in order to set up one thousand and eight stars throughout the Milky Way Nets Above Snares Below, the entire giant maelstrom of the Milky Way could be included as well.
Meanwhile, in terms of the most important central nodes, there would only be eighty-one of them, and Fang Ning wanted to gain control of all eighty-one of these central nodes. 
If a problem were to arise with any one of them, the entire Milky Way Nets Above Snares Below would be lost. On the contrary, the other nodes could replace one another in the case of any damages, so they would mostly function as backup alternatives to each other.
Among the twenty-eight star mansions, the Heart of the Azure Dragon, the Claw of the White Tiger, the Tail of the Vermillion Bird, and the Shell of the Black Tortoise were some of the hubs.
The Northern and Southern Dippers, the Northern and Southern Polaris stars, as well as a few other important constellations from the myths and legends also belonged among the eighty-one central nodes.
Fang Ning planned to make all of these famous star mansions the territories of the Whitestone people since they had no shortage of people right now.
"It is indeed important to plan ahead. If we hadn't taken them in previously, where would we be able to find so much support and assistance now? A good team is always stronger than an individual after all." After he was done with his planning, Fang Ning began to give himself credit.
"Oh, yes. As long as none of my money is spent here, it's all good," Sir System said gratefully.
After the planning stage, Fang Ning directed Sir System to pave the way for their project. If they wanted to get the others to perform well, they had to make an initial path for them first.
Of course, the preparation they had to make was to construct portals on the planets attached to the relevant stars.
Then, the follow-up work could be assigned to the various clans, which included many trivial affairs such as the tasks of setting up the formation of the Nets Above Snares Below, of constructing Vitality Transformation Equipment, and of offering sacrifices to the stars that they would become spiritualized…
As they worked their way to the thirty-fourth star, Fang Ning came upon a difficulty. 　
This was a star that was a thousand light years away from Earth. It was a second-class star.[1]
These were not the source of the problem.
The issue was that there were seven planets attached to this particular star.
Among these, the two planets that were nearer to it were inhabited by lifeforms of the same clan.
Their technological skills seemed to be more advanced than that of the humans from the Era of Technology, and they had already realized colonial development projects within a stellar system, which was something unachievable by humankind back then.
The night side of the two planets was illuminated by sparks of light, although there were more light sparks on one planet than on the other.
The Azure Dragon hid itself as it observed the more brightly lit planet, which was obviously the Mother Planet.
"Mr. Rich Boss, what should we do now?" Sir System asked anxiously. "This place is already taken. I can't just forcibly occupy their sun, right? We're heroes. We can't resort to such tyrannical ways."
"Let observe the situation first. This problem is bound to pop up again," Fang Ning said seriously. "Later on, we still have over a thousand more nodes to set up, so from now on, we'll need to have two ways of managing the inhabited and uninhabited stellar systems, and there has to be an overall standard to distinguish between the two methods."
While he was speaking, he looked outside through the System View. With the strong dragon sight, he could see as clear as day even under the dim lighting.
The areas covered with sparks of light were concrete jungles made of reinforced concrete.
If he had not checked again to see that they were really in outer space, Fang Ning would have mistaken himself to be back on the Earth before the Era of Mystery. 
"How lucky they are that the mysterious side hasn't extended its reach to this place," Fang Ning sighed as he watched the large group of creatures go about their activities on the planet surface.
They were walking around in the concrete jungle, clearly enjoying their nightlife.
Of course, this was how things looked like on the night side of the planet. Correspondingly, on the other side of the planets, there were others living their daytime lives.
Those crawling creatures each had six limbs, of which four were used for crawling. The remaining two limbs grew on the front of their bodies, and had eight fingers on them. It was overall a rather odd sight to behold. 
Nonetheless, Fang Ning got used to it very soon. After all, he had come across various types of strange-looking creatures in the recent years, and had grown accustomed to their appearances.
Moreover, the form of these creatures was not particularly extraordinary, even during the days before the arrival of the Era of Mystery.
For instance, the typical crab had ten jointed legs.
Eight of the ten legs were used for walking sideways while the other two front claws served the usual functions of the human hand, such as to hunt, attack and defend. 
'In that case, let's just call these civilized creatures crab people…'
Fang Ning was too lazy to come up with a better name, so he decided to name them after an earthly being that resembled them the most.
These crab people were moving about in the concrete jungles in an orderly fashion. Some went into bar-like places while the rest of them appeared to be heading home.
Their mode of transportation was a very long type of public bus, and there was rarely any private vehicles on the streets unlike back on Earth, where private cars could be found everywhere.
"Hmm, I'll have to observe this place more closely. You stay here first and wait while I go down there to take a look." Fang Ning was interested to go down there to explore further.
"You really want to go outside? Aren't you afraid of getting into trouble?" Sir System said hesitantly.
"What are you talking about? I'm just going there to investigate, and these crab people are still in the Era of Technology. There's no need to worry about my safety," Fang Ning said confidently.
"As expected, you're thinking of going there to show off." Sir System hit the nail on the head.　
Fang Ning ignored these words and called his Heavenly Book baby over before transforming into a cloud of shadow and exiting the System Space, drifting downward to the planet.
He had rarely come across such an opportunity to travel in such a safe manner at public expense, so of course, he should not miss it.
He quickly ran one round around the planet first. The entire planet only had one large mass of land and its land-to-sea ratio was more or less equally distributed between the two.
However, the gravitational force felt higher than that of Earth, which might be one of the reasons these intelligent beings had chosen to crawl instead.
After all, the gravitational force they had to bear when standing on two legs was way heavier than when standing on four legs.
After studying the overall condition of the planet, Fang Ning decided to experience the civilization of the crab people, just as he did when he had first encountered the society of magnetic people before. 
The magnetic people's society was thoroughly ruled by slavery, for theirs was a magnetic field life form that entirely different from humanity's way of living. The crab people, on the other hand, seemed to have a civilized life form like that of humankind. 
The environment of the whole planet seemed like the Earth with only slight differences in their gravitational force and air composition.
These crab people were also a kind of carbon-based organism, and was, therefore, very much similar to humans. Otherwise, Fang Ning would not have called them crab people.
After giving it some thought, he decided to start Shadow Mode...　
He chose a big city with the most sparks of light on the night side, which should probably be the top city among the first tier cities… Then, he chose young-looking crab man on the side of the street who seemed to be still working hard at life. 
"#@￥##..." said the crab man who was no taller than 80 centimeters to his companion before boarding the long public bus by the roadside. 
Each of these public buses was 20 meters long, and had a very high-frequency service, which was one bus every three to five minutes. This was totally different from the low bus frequency back on Earth. 
"Uh, baby, do you understand what this guy's saying?" Fang Ning said in frustration.
Was this not like playing a game without a Chinese version release? How would that be fun?
"I don't understand, Master," the Heavenly Book baby replied honestly.
"Ugh, I should've asked your System Daddy to prepare a language pack for me beforehand. It seemed to be more linguistically-talented than me," Fang Ning sighed.
"It's not too late to ask now," the Heavenly Book baby quickly suggested.
"Okay, I'll talk to it then."
Fang Ning began to communicate with Sir System through the Heavenly Book.
Of course, he also remembered to tail the young crab man.
"Sir System, please help me translate the language of these crab people."
"No can do."
"Didn't you manage to translate the language of the octopus people right away the last time? This shouldn't that complicated as well."
"That's because they followed a template. The octopus people used Morse code to communicate, but I don't know what template these crab people are using," Sir System justified.
"Then, hurry up and ask Anderson to develop a temporary Chinese language pack. Get them to work overtime today," Fang Ning demanded.
"Okay then." Sir System immediately conveyed the Warden's request to Anderson. In any case, it was happy that it did not have to work.
Therefore, before the Chinese language pack was completed, Fang Ning could only go along with this gibberish version first...
In the meantime, the crab man had already taken one of the empty seats on the public bus. None of the crab people on the bus were standing as they were all seated. In fact, there were many seats and even bunk beds on the bus...
The bunk beds were located at the back of the bus, where a few crab people were sleeping at the moment.
