Serenity Luope arrives at Star College and looks for her dorm: Room 5504. She finds it, but she looks at the names of the people in it, and she sees a boy's name: Adrian Weila. She's confused, but she doesn't think much of it. She opens the door and looks around at the spacious area in front of her. Serenity inhales and exhales. "Ah...Finally, I'm at College," she mutters.
There are two rooms in the dorm, so Serenity choses the one on the left. She drags her suitcase and bags and unpacks, showers, and changes. When she comes out of her room, she sees a boy that's around 178 cm. Compared to her height at around 168 cm, he's approximately 10 cm taller.
She looks at him. He looks at her. "Huh?!" They both exclaim in unision.
"Who are you?" Serenity asks.
"I'm Adrian Weila. Your roomate. You probably saw my name on the door. You're Serenity Luope right?"
"Yes, I'm Serenity."
"What a nice name..."
"Thank you, you too..." Serenity blushes.
'She's pretty cute...College is going to be fun...' Adrian thought and subconciously smiles.
Serenity stares at that smile dazedly. 'He's really cute! But I'd better watch out. I'm not used to living with a boy.'
Adrian snaps out of his bubble and looks at Serenity. She's still in a daze. His smile gets even wider.
"You took the left room right?"
His voice snaps Serenity out of her daze.
"Ah...Yes. You can take the one on the right." Serenity averts her gaze and blushes once again.
"Alright." Adrian chuckles and walks towards his room.
"OMG Serenity! What were you just doing?? You can't fall for beauty traps, you're better than that!" The angel on Serenity's right shoulder says.
"No, that boy is pretty cute! What's his name? Adrian? Ooo, nice name too. He's your perfect match Reni! Go for it!" The devil on Serenity's left shoulder says.
"What do you mean 'perfect match'? They just met! She knows nothing about him! And how do you know if he's a playboy or not?!" Angel glares at the devil.
"She won't know if she doesn't try. Reni, go ahead. I'm rooting for you!"
"You..."
"You guys stop. I'm feeling dizzy by your voices." Serenity stops their quarrel.
"You know I can't control my heart right? If I fall for him, I fall for him. I'm not going to deny my feelings. But, I don't like him right now so stop talking about it. We just met. It's not love at first sight." Serenity sighs and explains. She walks over to the living area and sits on one of the couches.

In the beginning of the school year, Serenity Luope and Adrian Weila were assigned to the same dorm room. Shocked at first, Serenity starts being vigilant towards him. Unexpectedly, Adrian falls first. 
Let's see where this rollercoaster of feelings will take them.

With the sun already far above the horizon, Andrew leaves the house and closes the door behind him. Melissa had already left earlier in the morning. He heads out with a backpack, which he packed with lunch. In his pocket, he has his phone and wallet, with money he lent from Melissa, his ID card, a second card as proof of his stay at Hulive, and his Forb card. He uses it at the station to check in, and waits for the next wagon to arrive.
[Will some of the old city even be left? I couldn't see any of it when I was in the station. I do hope all the roads are still the same, so I can find my way around.]
The Forb arrives, and Andrew gets in. It speeds off to Clifftell, quickly distancing itself from Perigowinkle.

Andrew arrives on the station, at connection 12H: Perigowinkle. He takes the stairs down all the way to floor A. The station is swarmed with life. Students chatting, business men fast-walking while talking on their phones, retirees sitting on benches at their designated station. It is a lively Monday noon.
[So busy, I can barely get around. At least they're all normal people. Not… May. Realising she probably isn't near helped me greatly, though I still have to find her, somehow.]
Andrew struggles to look at the signs without getting bumped around. He gives up and forces himself through the crowd, and leaves the station. A group of cyclists almost run him over, as he puts a single foot on the main road. 
[It didn't even look like a road. The tiles are only slightly darker, so I think light-grey is the sidewalk and darker-grey the road. I'll remember that from now on, but it's odd that it changed.]
Andrew takes a map of the city from a tourist stand and walks across the city. While watching out not to hamper other people, he heads towards the main square, where Clifftell College was, now Clifftell high.
[Clifftell High is a way more accurate name, as the College part was less than a third of the entire campus at the time. Let's see if it has changed much.]
Crossing streets and gently pushing bothersome tourists out of his path, he arrives at the main square of Clifftell, with the statue of the city's founder in the centre, surrounded by a park with neatly ordered trees and wide open grass fields. He looks to the left, where the school resides. His school.
[It… it…]
He lets his hand fall next to his thighs.
[It didn't change… at all.]
The old building is still there. The same building he remembers, with the large round stained glass window above the front door. The gates are open and students are walking in and out of the campus. Between all the new, modernised buildings, Clifftell College still stands as medieval as it has always been. Andrew's eyes are wide open.
[It feels like forever… since I've been here.]
After a moment of hesitation, he decides to head towards the campus.

Between all the uniform-wearing students, Andrew enters the campus of Clifftell High. He takes a look at the signs, which label different buildings. 'Main Hall', 'Physical Room', 'Science Lab', and a few others.
[Looks like they converted to high-school only, I don't see any signs of a college being here. And the uniforms too, I never had one when I went here.]
The uniforms are black, with the emblem of the school on the back. Underneath the uniform resides a white blouse. The boys are wearing black pants, while all the girls wear a skirt down to below their knees with a pantyhose underneath. Andrew looks at a few of the students.
[I can see both black and white pantyhoses. That girl has a pink one, so I guess the pantyhose is a free choice. Do guys have something they can choose freely too? Doesn't look like it.]
Andrew enters the Main Hall. Some people give him a weird look, while others just smile at him when he makes eye contact.
[They probably think I'm new and transferring here, but only one of those is true. The Main Hall didn't change much, the statue of Michael is still standing proud. The administrator office is still to the left, cafeteria to the right. Stairs are still the same, floor's labelled A, B and C. Yep, this is how I remember Clifftell College.]
The bell rings, and all the students scamper up the stairs like a horde of sheep. Andrew waits until they're gone, and takes a walk around the ground floor.
[I think I should just leave, I can't really go around and check out anything without disturbing anyone. Melissa told me about dorm rooms, I guess I'll go look for them.]
He heads to the exit, but a woman calls him from the administrator office.
"Young man?"
[Young man? Is that a new way to address teens?]
"Hmm?" Andrew responds. It came out ruder than he expected. "What is it?" He asks, a little more serenely, and walks up to her office.
"Are you new here? I don't remember seeing you before. Do you need anything?" She asks.
[Ask one question at a time. Miss… Wember. Never heard of a name like that before, good that you have a name card.]
"No, I was a student here some time ago. I'm just checking the place out because I heard they built dorm rooms." Andrew replies.
"The dorm rooms were built over twenty years ago." Miss Wember replies. "And, you don't look like you went to school here… twenty years ago."
[Whoops.]
"Are you sure?" She asks.
[What do I even say now? Do I tell her about Hulive, or do I just excuse myself and leave? Telling her wouldn't help that much, she probably wouldn't even understand. But how would I explain it other wise? Oh maybe…]
"Young man?"
"Oh, sorry. No, I was mistaken. I heard something changed on the campus, so I went to check that out. I'll be on my way again, as I don't have a lot of time. See you!" Andrew blurts out hastily, and before Miss Wember can reply, he already heads towards the exit.
"Oh, see you." She says. After a brief look of confusion, she continues her work.

[Okay, I got out of that safely, I think. It seemed like she just accepted my explanation and moved on. Now, time to check out the dorms. They should be behind the main building, as far as the signs tell me.]
He takes the path that heads around the main building, passing the Science Lab, and arriving at a fenced off field. Andrew looks between the bars of the fence, and sees a long road with houses on both sides. Above the entrance of all the houses is a number and a letter.
[I guess these are the dorm rooms. I expected more of a hotel like structure, but a house park works too. Those numbers and letters are probably classes, so each class has a single house. I wonder if everyone has a room for themselves, it would take up quite a lot of space if that's the case. Or, the rooms are really small. Looks like I can't enter, so I'll just check out the other side of the school and go home. I don't think there's anything else to do in Clifftell at the moment.]
Andrew continues on the road behind the school, walks past the Physical Education Room, and comes out in front of the main entrance again, from the other side. He looks up at the stained glass window, above the entrance.
[Well, see you in a few weeks, Clifftell.]
Andrew goes to the front gate. At the exact moment he walks through, an Eastern looking man passes him. Andrew notices it in the corner of his eye, and faces him. The man faces him too. They make eye contact, and both stop in their tracks.
"Andrew?" The man asks.
[He… I recognise him. Is it really…?]
"Rajib?" Andrew says. They look at each other in silence, not comprehending their current situation. Rajib takes steps towards him.
[Is it really him? He doesn't say he's not. Rajib. We used to be in the same class together. We helped each other with history projects all the time. 
"Yeah, that's me." Rajib replies. "Let's sit down and talk, shall we?"

On a bench outside, in the park in front of the school, Rajib sits down. Andrew takes place next to him. Rajib seems on edge.
[Does he really want to talk to me? He looks like a stressed student right before exams.]
"So, how has your life been so far?" Rajib asks, on a weird tone.
[What an odd first question.]
"Well, I've been up for…"
[Woah. Wait a second. I've only been up for just over a month. It feels like I've been here for months, in 2056.]
"… A month, little more."
"Only a month?" Rajib replies. "Well, you used to be perseverant back then too."
A silence falls upon them. Rajib places his face in his hands.
"You don't understand, do you?" He says.
"What do you mean?"
"No, you wouldn't understand. You're too apathetic for that. You missed too much. I gotta… get back to work."
Rajib gets up, even though they've only seen each other for a few minutes.
"Wait, what do you mean? What did I miss while I was gone?"
Rajib looks back at Andrew. His pupils are small, and veins can be seen all throughout his bloodshot eye. A tear forms on the bottom of his eye.
"Too much. You missed… everything." He replies. Andrew stands up and reaches out, but Rajib takes a run for it. He takes the first bus he sees, and leaves Andrew's sight.
[What was that about? He said he wanted to talk, right? Missed… everything? What does he mean with everything? What happened while I was gone? Rajib, don't leave me after telling me that. Apathetic. Am I apathetic?]
Andrew sits down again, defeated. A few tourists look his way, but quickly evade their eyes again, as if nothing happened.
[Melissa was just as secretive. I want to know. I want to know everything. What's so important that happened while I was sleeping?]

The doorbell rings. Andrew heads down from his room to open the front door, and let Melissa inside. He helps her with her bags, but she doesn't thank him.
[Back to your apathetic self, I see. Apathetic. What is he talking about. Maybe something that's everything happened in his life, but not mine. We were not that close anyway, so why would it matter for me? Why do I still care? I just need to forget it. It was nothing.]
"Melissa." Andrew says. Melissa looks up and at him, while having one shoe half-untied.
"What?"
"I met Rajib today. He told me I 'missed everything'. Do you know what that means?"
Melissa looks away and continues untying her shoes.
"Rajib, who's that?"
"A classmate of mine, well, he was back in 2019." Andrew replies.
"Oh, I see." She places her shoes down and looks Andrew straight in his eyes. "August Sixth. I already told you that. He's probably talking about the same thing, mostly. Just have patience, you should never rush."
"No!" Andrew exclaims. "My curiosity has been driving me crazy the past few nights! I need to now! Right now!"
"Shut up!" Melissa yells, ever more furiously. Andrew is startled by the unexpected energy coming from her voice. "I don't want to think about it myself either!" Melissa continues. "The sixth of August is the only day… of the year. So stop asking me." She snatches the bags from Andrew's hands, who is still standing in the hallway, speechless, and she heads up the stairs.
[So it's something, bad. Negative. Something that made Melissa extremely depressed, that changed her personality completely. And even Rajib, who I didn't even talk to often, knows about it. Melissa's response confirms that.]
He heads up the stairs, into his room, and falls onto his bed
[What the… fuck. What did I miss, that's so impactful as they say? Did… some one die? No, I don't want to jump to conclusions. And, if someone died, they would've told me already. Well, at least Melissa would. I only seen Rajib for at most three minutes. Why didn't I just go after him? I could've easily pushed him to tell me everything. Everything… that I need to know. Everything I don't know yet… is a lot.]
[I don't understand, why can't they just tell me? The only thing I'm sure of is that something influential happened on the sixth of August. Something else might have happened on the thirtieth of July too.He takes his notebook from his desk and writes what he's thinking about inside.]
[The only thing that comes to mind, a thing that can have such an impact on someone's life…]
[Death.]
[Though I don't want to think about it, that has the highest possibility. Death. Such an intriguing subject. After we die, we just… don't think anymore. There's nothing, not even darkness. It's impossible to comprehend.]
[Which is why, I should think about it. I even cheated it, and I know nothing happened. You just… skip that part of time, like sleeping. But, if you never wake up, that would mean you would be skipping time indefinitely…]
"Heh, I'm rambling again."
[Stop it, brain. Andrew is in control now.]
Melissa calls him for dinner, and he heads down stairs to the living room. Not a single conversation sparks while they're at the table, and Andrew heads to his room immediately afterwards. He doesn't put on his pyjamas, and falls onto his bed in his underwear.
[Damnit. Damn everything. I just want to know. If it's really something with death, I have to go to the graveyard. Tomorrow morning.]
He lets out a sigh.
[But, I don't think I can. The likeliness of it being related to death, will make Melissa prevent me from entering until the sixth. I expect that much. Mystery hunts were always fun, or so I thought. This isn't fun at all, when something keeps holding you back. Something, invisible. Could it be a social thing? No, wait, that doesn't make sense at all, Andrew. You should just go to sleep already, there's no information to collect anymore. It's only waiting now, just one more week. A week. It's such a long time, when there's nothing to do.]
Andrew pulls the bedspread over himself, and closes his eyes.
[I don't understand, how some people can spend their lives shut inside, without people to talk to. Only going outside when you need groceries, it would be extremely boring. They probably all die without anyone knowing. Die of boredom. I don't want to think about that. I don't want to meet that same fate. You won't meet that fate, Andrew. You just have to continue searching for her. She's still there for you, waiting. For now, she's with you in that closed letter. Her love, and her soul.]

The following morning Cat woke up in the hospital and was confused of why she was here and 
suddenly realized that a car had hit her when she was running to the bus stop. Cat's father was
worried sick for her daughter's health and he canceled the meeting he had at his company to stay by her side. The owner of the car got informed the person he had hit was awake now and for them to discuss an outcome and possibly a solution. Cat just suffered minor injuries and will be able to go home today and just need to keep in mind if anything worsen Cat will need to be checked by the hospital again. The owner of the car, William is the CEO of a company Cat's dad partnered with. While they talked about what he should do to make up to Cat. Cat gotten in a sadder mood of what happened and decided to tell her father what happened when they got home. She didn't listen to what her father and he dude had to say.
          William CEO of the company had some business he needed to attend to and asked his secretary to attend the business with the car issue. Cat soon got ready to get back home and on her way back home she asked her father if she can move out of her house and live in the dormitory. Cat explained the reason to her father, how Alexa stole her boyfriend and couldn't see them together. Her father agreed and makes sure that she know that he loves her and she deserves better than what her boyfriend, now ex, did to her. Cat hugged her father and told him she love him too. The rest of the ride home was quiet. Since it was still afternoon, Cat have decided to get the paper works to live in the dorm and packed her stuff at her house. She waited till the next day and got informed that her request have been approved and now Cat can finally live without her step sister and step mom. Cat said goodbye to her father and sat in the car while the driver drove her to her school campus grounds. 
           Cat thanked her driver to drop her there and left with her luggage. She was told by the school that she will be having two roommates. She asked the lady at the dorm where her room was and overheard by a girl walking past. 
The girl walking pass, Sally "Oh my god, are u also in room 301?" 
Cat asked her "Yes and may I ask that if you know where that is?" 
Sally knew where that was "Ya, of course that's where I live and are you my new roommate?"
Cat finally relieved that someone knew what it was "Yes, I got put in room 301b and do u know how the rooms work" 
   (By now they have totally ignored the lady Cat was tryin to ask help from)
Sally said "Of course I do, so the room area is split into three equal sections or you can call it rooms, and theres also a kitchen/eating area and and a couch place for us to relax. And by the way did I mention Rose, she is our other roommate, recently got a tv in the couch area and she will be willing to share it with us." 
Cat said  "Omg that's so cool if it's okay for you can you bring me to our room(s)"
Sally was happy she was able to help someone "Yea totally I was gonna go there anyways so why not"
Cat felt grateful and thanked her "Oki thanks a lot, by the way how rude of me I forgot to introduce me. My name is Catherine and u can call me Cat for short and what is your name miss?"
Sally said "My name is Sally (obviously) and nice to meet you" 
Cat nervously said "Nice to meet you too Sally and can we go now I'm kinda a little hungry and I don't wanna hurt my tummy's feelings"
Sally laughed "Haha of course your so humorous by the way" 
            They ended the conversation and Sally lead Cat to their rooms. It was bigger then expected and cat looked around. 
Cat, "So this is where it is"
Sally, "Yea do u like it?"
Cat, "Yes I absolutely adore the cute decorations" 
              The door was opened again and Rose walked in. 
Rose whispers to Sally, "who is this" 
Sally, "Oh this is Cat and she is our new roommate she just got here today" 
Cat, "Hi I'm Cat and I heard your name was Rose. Nice to meet u." 
Rose, "Nice to meet you too, Cat" 
Sally, "Anyways since it's Cat's first day here let's talk about our self and relax in the comfortable couch" 
              They sat down and had a conversation. While they talked Cat had a cup of Ramon noodles that she made from the kitchen area. That was what all they had.
Sally said "I'll start with myself. My name is Sally Brown everyone call me 'brownie' haha yummy. I'm 20 years old and is in this college for 3 years now and I majoring in the scientist field."
Rose added "Ok, now I'll introduce myself, my name is Rose Jones and people tend to call me rosy. I'm in the technology field and know my way around computer and is also good at hacking computer systems' database. Is currently 21 and been in this college for three years I probably skipped two grades so yeah" 
Cat continued "Okie now it's my turn *took another sip of the Ramon noodle soup*. First of all nice to meet both of you. My name is Cat and is will be turning 18 in December. I'm in the business and financial field. I'm in this college for two years now. My father excepted a lot from me so he hired tutors when I was three and was homeschooled until college with is two years ago that I went to a real 'school'. Anyways it's getting late now do you guys mind if I get going on unpacking my stuff" 
Sally said "Yea sure sorry for holding you so long"
Rose included "Ya go ahead"
Cat left "Oki thanks talk to ya soon"
                Cat went in her room and unpacked her stuff. She took a shower after the long day and decided to call it a day until she realized when the CEO of that whatever so company, William left her a business card with his info on it and told her if she ever needed help she can go find him, it just like William (Will for short) owed him a favor. Cat didn't think to much of it at that time. She still had work the next day so she need to sleep early. Cat's schedule was always so regular like she was never late and never missed a day or school or work, even when she was sick so told herself she can do it and won't let sickness become an excuse for her laziness. She fell asleep on her laptop after a while of  reviewing her classwork and homework from last week.

Catherine is just a normal collage girl who works part time at a coffee shop. Things all changed for her when she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her with her step sister, Alexa. Due to the reason Catherine (Cat for short) ran out in the rain and got hit by a car............she woke up and found her self ending up in a hospital....the driver was there and they figured a solution...........

The next morning Keira and Angela woke up to cook breakfast. After they cooked breakfast, they went to wake up the boys. While they were eat, Keira asks Zack "So what happened yesterday when we left you and Luke was in the room." Zack said "Well now Luke and I are dating now." They all act like they didn't know what happened yesterday, and just said "Oh that's good."  After they ate breakfast Zack and Luke went somewhere but Keria know that they will be fine. Angela and Keria spend with their boyfriend. While Keira and Angela were just sitting with their boyfriend, there were looking at apartments. Keria and Matt saw a nice apartment with three rooms. Keria told Angela "Hey Angela I found a nice a apartment with three rooms and it's a good price" and then Angela said "Me too." The girls were happy that they found apartments to move in with their boyfriends, the boyfriends were happy that they get to live, see, have s*x with their girlfriends. When Luke and Zack came to the room, Keira saw a hickey on Luke's neck, she was happy that her cousin found love. Zack ask them what are they doing and Keira said "Oh we're just looking for apartments so Matt and I can move in together and Angela and RM are doing the same. what about you guys, do you guys planning to move in together?" Zack said "Well we're are planning to move in together in one or two years." then Zack and Luke went to the couch and cuddle and trying to do work and homework. Later that day Keira, Angela, and Luke had to said goodbye their boyfriends and kiss them goodbye. When they got to Angela's car Keria asks Luke "Luke why do you have a hickey" even though she already know how he has a hickey, Luke said "WHAT oh this thing on my neck um...this is not a hickey, it's a bruise cause yesterday I hit my neck on something." Keria just said "ok," then they went back to their college. When they were at the college Keira told Luke "Have a great night and call me if anything happens" Luke was nodding yes as he was walking to his dorm.

A girl named Keria, her family had to move to a new place because her dad got a new job. A few years later she enters high school she really hates the f**k boys and the mean girls but as she going to her classes she realizes that all of her classes are with f**k boy named Matt. One day as she as going home she got a call that her house fell down. Her dad got a call from his long lost best friend is willing to let Keria's family live his family, when they got there Keria realizes that she will be living with the person she hates the most, it's Matt.

I prefer to use American names because it is easier to remember but I'll use a few Chinese names as I'm reading and I'm writing this story for someone to read but these are the Chinese names I would use if I wasn't writing this for someone or I'll be using in the story.

Xiao An walked slowly to the exit as she pulled her luggage. Walking outside, she asked a taxi driver to bring her to the address that she provided.

After paying the driver, Xiao An slowly walked forward to the apartment building. It's a two-storey building with ten rooms in each floor. When she passed the National College Entrance Examination, she enrolled to the top notch and most expensive university in whole China. The 'Royal Academy of China' which was located in Shanghai. After passing the entrance exam, she applied for the 'Special Academic Excellence Scholarship Program'. Only ten students with a score of 95% and above in National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) + 95% of the Royal Academy of China Entrance Examination (RACEE) + 95% Average Percentage Grade of the Report Card will be accepted and the student needs to maintain his/her average percentage grade A+ or 95% and above. With SAESP, the 30 thousand Yuan fee per semester will be free.

After confirming her admission to RA, Bai Yuehan get her an apartment and paid one year of the rental fee in advance. It's thirty minutes ride from the Academy. Bai Yuehan did not let her stay in the RA Dorm as he knew his daughter preferred privacy and silent surroundings and additional rooms for her wires, other equipments and tools.

Using the key, Xiao An opened the door of the last room in the second floor. The room has a small living room and a kitchen, three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's the biggest room in the apartment building. Her parents left her a sum of 300 thousand Yuan plus 600 thousand Yuan from the Death Insurance and another 100 thousand Yuan from another life insurances. 

Xiao An did a little cleaning before arranging her luggage. After she settled, she opened her laptop and visited an online shopping site. After ordering her necessities, she took a nap.

She was awakened by the sound of the door bell. Her groceries has arrived. The next day, her appliances were delivered one after another.

A figure in a white sneakers with a loose long white sleeve collared blouse with small slit in the arms, slightly fitted blue jeans, a braided black hair with a big frame eye wear, was standing in front of a gigantic white gate with a big wordings of 'WELCOME TO ROYAL ACADEMY' engraved above in the gate's arch.

Xiao An was looking in the big gate in a dazed while many students were rustling in the first day of school year.

'Mom, Dad...Did you see me now in heaven? I'm starting my 1st day in college now. My 1st day in RA....'

Xiao An took a deep breath, 'I can do this,Fighting!'

she went inside the room, there was no one and the room was painted white and it has 2 bed each one was parallel to each other and there was a small wooden study table at the front of each bed and there were two wardrobes at the other end of the room and there was a door adjacent to wardrobes and when she opened that door there was combined bathroom and washroom. she slowly took her suitcase inside the room and when she shut the room door she saw there were many photos of boys and each of them consists of 2 boys, these must be the photos of old students who got this room.  the room was white with brown wood furniture it was a huge room for 2. she opened her suitcase and take all of her clothes out from the suitcase she has sweatshirts, hoodies, pajamas, jeans, jackets, shocks. she used to wear casual and comfortable clothes and she normally repeats her clothes which were opposite to her childhood when she never repeats her clothes that night changed everything in her life. 
she placed all of her clothes in one wardrobe and in the last there was a black blazer left she stared at it, it was not of her size but she took it with her. when she stared at it she reminds of that man he has a razor shaped nose, he had an emotionless face and his eyes were of blue color and they were innocent and heavenly deep when he stood in front of her and glared at her she feels warm and when he took that blazer on her shoulder, her body starts burning and her ears turned pink. that guy went away at the same speed as he arrived and after a few seconds, he got lost in the crowd.
she put that blazer in her wardrobe with a wide smile and said, "nice to meet to, hope we meet again."

Max was a 19 year old boy who worked at a Starbucks, and was going to attend Duke University in two days. His parents had died years ago in a car crash, so he saved every bit of inheritance and money he had.
Max was even surprised He made it into the college, for he was merely making A's in every subject. Except sports... he was terrible at sports. Even if you made him catch a football he couldn't do it. But he was a very fast runner and was the fastest on his track team in high school.

Max's job at his neighborhood Starbucks was absolutely dreadful. Even the first time he went in for an interview, the boss told him to change his "dyed" hair back to its original color. This was going to be hard for him because his natural hair color was a dark blue, and every time he tried dying it, it would only last for a day or two.
"Didn't I tell you to change your hair back!?" The manager raged. Max rolled his eyes. "This is my natural hair color sir." The manager's ears were practically blowing steam out of them. "Besides, why does it matter to you?" Max mumbled.
Apparently the manager ignored of just didn't hear him, because he started mumbling to himself and walked away. 

Max's fingernails were growing, like usual, She he was the slightest bit upset or mad. They usually just grew a few centimeters, but now they stared growing in inches. That's why he always had to cut his fingernails. One he even got his nails polished, just to see how much they grew. Of course, his workplace couldn't accept that so they sent him home early. His fingernails grew about two inches that day.

This was a very common occurrence as it happened every day. Rude customers, ruffling his hair, complaining about his hair. Max would quit if he could, but that wasn't a smart option. 
His parents were in the lower middle class, so his inheritance was rather dull. He could barely pay for half a semester with it. And he lived on his own now since he went out of foster care at 18. 

He mentally sighed as he walked out of Starbucks. He grabbed his iPhone his foster family recently got him to celebrate his high school graduation. Oh how he missed and adored them... He dialed their number.
No reply. "Oh I forgot they're at work." He whispered to himself, sticking his phone back in his jean pocket. 

He then went to Duke in his new car he bought for college. It was a used white Chevrolet for around 30,000 dollars. His inheritance was 100,000, so he used most of that money, plus his job at Starbucks chipped in. 
He drove to the Duke University and parked near the front of the enormous castle. It was time to face his fears, and meet people. You see, Max was very anti-social. He went to a party once, and never went to one again. 
His old friend brought him there, but his experience was overrated. People threw things, people were drunk, people babbled like idiots, so therefore, Max was never going to a party again.

He was walking cautiously on the sidewalk, playing a game on his phone, when he suddenly bumped into a girl about an inch taller than him, with unordinary fuchsia hair and an unusually bright yellow colored highlights tied together in a short, thick, braid. She wore a red and white striped polo shirt, with denim jeans. She too was indeed on her phone.

"Sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going." The girl apologized, with a sloppy, slightly embarrassed, smile. "Oh it's okay." She looked at him up and down, scanning everything about him. She was staring intensely at his hair. She quickly recovered, by putting on a huge grin. She bore two books in her hands, both on the interesting topic of philosophy.

"I'm Max, what's your name?" Max questioned, trying to break the silence. "I'm Carmen. I assume you attend Duke here with me?" 
Max nodded. "You bet. Hey do you know where the dorm registry is?" He questioned. He was going to look for it, but figured he could ask now. She craned her head to her right looking at the prestigious castle. "I already went, so I can easily show you." She smiled wide.

She walked him into the building and took him down a few corridors and ushered him to a big auditorium, with many people sitting and chatting. Max shuffled in his spot. "So next is another left and then we'll be there." Carmen informed him. Max groaned.
"You just got here, how do you know this place so well?" She winked. "Because I didn't just get here. Now let's go this way." Max was confused, but placed her ominous words out of his mind. They soon came to a crowded area with a long desk with many people sitting in a row. There were letter cards telling what letter of the alphabet each different person managed.
He went to the person who managed letters A-C. 

"Hello, what is your name young man?" He blushed. "Max Calipher." The lady in charge hummed a tune as she typed thing into a computer and scrolled. She clicked something on it and started asking him questions. 
"Where did you go to high school?" He named his old local high school. He had lived close to it still, but he never wanted to go there again.
"Okay middle school?" He paused. He could barely remember anything from before high school, and he never knew why. 

Carmen waited behind him patiently, tapping away on her phone.

It was embarrassing because the lady looked like she right about lost her patience. 
"Okay... if you can't remember that I doubt you can remember you elementary school..." she mumbled sourly. Max started to lose his patience. "Anything else?" He asked annoyed.

"Your dorm number is 186. Your dorm mate has checked in. Next!" Carmen's eyebrows perked up when she walked over to Max. She grabbed his hand up to her face and stared at it. "What's up with your nails?" She asked with radiating curiosity. 
He rolled his eyes and shoved them into his jean pockets, accidentally scratching her hands.   

"What's got your panties in a bunch." She mumbled. She put her hands in her pockets as well. 

They walked in silence all the way to the dorms. Well, it's more like she walked and Max followed. They ended up at the dorm rooms. "Right next to me huh." She sneered. Max sighed. "Apparently so." There was a long silence.

"Look, I know we've started on the wrong foot, but I'm a nice person, and I think you are too, so is like to start over. I'm Carmen." She extended her hand. "I'm Max." He extended his hand and they shook them. Her firm grip made his hand pale slightly. 

Out of nowhere, Carmen's dorm room opened and a blonde girl with long flowing hair that happened to be the same hair color as Carmen's but full on, ran up to Carmen and hugged her tightly. "I haven't seen you in so long!" She squealed. Carmen laughed. 
"I missed you! I didn't know you were coming here Steph!" 

Once their embrace perished, the blond turned to Max. "What do we have here?" She questioned licking her lips. Max shifted uncomfortably. "I'm Stephanie, and as I've heard you're Max?" Max was confused. "How?" He looked at Carmen who in turn shrugged her shoulders.
"I was snooping from inside silly." She tapped his nose. He blushed profusely. She giggled. 

"I heard there was a hot party tonight, wanna come with?" She got in his face and looked at him expectantly. "Um... sure? He said confused. Carmen chipped in. "I'll go too. Don't worry, I won't be a third wheel." Stephanie's smile flickered slightly then reappeared stronger than ever. "Okay, let's get prepared shall we?"
