I’m new to this so it’s probably going to be bad soooooo please read at your own risk. And I don’t own the characters or The Walking Dead except for my character and those I create

Next Sunday will be the finale of this Volume and instead of a Q&A, as requested by 3 of you I'll be holding a raffle of sorts. By that I mean you the readers will design your own characters and I'll pick my favourite to insert into the story.

The parameters:
1. Must be Female
2. Character will be one of the main antagonists (villains)
3. Character will be reincarnated as a world Noble originally from Earth

Orion Kartia's life was cut short and he was now forced to transmigrate into the wonderful world of One Piece but thankfully he has a few gifts to help him get started!

I'm mainly using this to test the waters and improve my writing, as I'm also working on the story I'm most proud of and looking forward to releasing!

I won't be releasing that one for the foreseeable future as I want to have written the majority of the story in advance as the goal is to get paid on the back of it. And there are too many potentially good novels that finish half way through for one reason or another. I don't want my main novel to be one of those!

Pressing the start button brought up the EULA, which was very substantial and explained all of the rules governing how the app worked, and the legal agreement that James was entering in to. Like almost everyone other human on the planet, James just scrolled down to the bottom of the document, checked the checkbox, and clicked [Next].
'Welcome to the Portal to the Dungeons, Mysterious Mink. You have bravely stepped into the wider universe with your choice. As we begin our journey, you have more choices to make. These choices are permanent, and will have a great many ramifications, changing how your experience in the world happen and how others react to you. You can choose to customize your character however you wish, but beware... your choices will be permanent and will effect reality as you see it. Since not much is known about the Portal to the Dungeon app works, we recommend you take the [System Generated Character] or [SysGen] option. This option will optimize a character for you, based on your current life experience and skills. If you select the [SysGen] option, we will also offer you a special bonus gift.'

James continued to read the information in the app.
'Please do not exit the game before completing character creation, or you will be assigned a randomly generated character or [Random]. A random character will not take your personality or experience into account, and may have substantial penalties. You will also forfeit the special bonus package, as well as half of your starting credits. '
He was then presented with the following choices:

Normally, James would create his own character. This is what he normally does. This time, however, he decided to create a [System Generated Character] to start off with. He was not familiar with whatever system this particular game used, so he wanted to see what the system generated by default. He pressed the [System Generated Character] button, and the app began playing music. A series of messages began appearing on his phone screen.
'Generating character stats...'
'Evaluating player James Allen "Masked Mink" Wesley...'
'Determining base race... done. Result: half-elf
'Determining base class...done. Result: exocortex mechanic'
'Determining alignment...done. Result: lawful good'
'Determining theme...done. Result: corporate agent'
'Special circumstances detected...first player to generate their character...Reward: Additional theme: dragonblood, overriding normal theme limit'
'Distributing 10 points to ability scores...Due to SysGen status, character gains 2 additional ability points...done'
'Distributing skill points...done'
'Equipment generated... 465 credits left'
As the prompts on his phone continued, James did not immediately notice that he could also see them in the lower left hand corner of his own vision. He was mesmerized by the text scrolling on the phone screen, and until he saw the prompt directly in front of his eyes, in large bold letters 'Now integrating the existing Personal Comm Unit into your body as your exocortex and custom rig' and his phone dissolved into his hand did James realize that something was off.  
"What the actual crap just happened"!? he exclaimed. 
The system was merciless. In front of James, a stairway of metal formed itself out of nothingness, and led up to a stone archway, with a green portal shimmering where a door would normally be. Hovering over the portal were the words 'Tutorial Zone (Level 1, Easy, Solo Player)'.
James started backing away from this strange phenomenon. However, a new prompt appeared in his vision 'Player Mysterious Mink should enter the tutorial. The tutorial will explain everything.' James also heard a chipper female voice repeating the same thing as the prompt. The voice came from everywhere at once, but no where in particular. 

"Who said that"? James demanded, out loud.
'I did' replied the voice in his head. 'I am Nebula E2110, your personal AI. I have been integrated with the system to provide your user interface. If you will enter into the Portal to the tutorial dungeon, I can explain what happened.'

James shook his head, as if to clear it from the craziness he is experiencing.
"Well, I needed some exercise anyway..." he said as he walked up the stairs and entered the portal.
To the rest of the world, it was as if James walked off into the distance and disappeared.

Unbeknownst to the population of the world, once you accept the EULA, you will be changed forever, with a strange combination of both Technology and Magic combine to begin changing your body and the world around you into a ‘game” that is controlled by the WSC.

This is one man’s story on how the app changed his life and the world around him.

I like harem but I prefer single pairing.

Fanfictions are by definition will fulfillment stories. It's normal to create harem, reverse harem or mix (I would talk about harem as I'm a straight man) in these types of stories for many reasons:
- The writer could appreciate many characters and want to pair them with his own character.
- The readers rarely (never) agree on a single pairing even when they don't want harem so why not give them all they want?
- Some worlds call for it: Some worlds accept or even encourage the idea of polygamy or polyandry and it could be a symbol of status. If the main character is reborn as a Chinese emperor or an imperial scion in feudal times for example, he is expected to have empress as well as concubines. It would be stupid to challenge the custom just for that.
- This is the popular choice.
- If you were to be in the main character place wouldn't you want to get all your favorites girls? (when male).
- Harem allows variety and continuous romance shenanigans.

Harem
To begin what I mean by harem? We will talk about harem when someone is in a poly amorous relation with many partners- be they consenting or not. If they aren't consenting i.e they are forced, blackmailed… it's just a slave harem and what I'm saying doesn't concern this case.
Furthermore if the Main Character is a player or changes very often partner, it's NOT an harem setting. If someone beds his secretary while being married it's just cheating and not harem or polygamy.
*****Advantages
******************Satisfy most readers: They would each find their desired pairings
******************Allow the writer to live his own fantasy through his character: If the writer is not having fun with his own story, it would absolutely be dropped.
******************Try many conquest setting: Conquer a yandere and make her accept a kuudere (good luck with that in real life)
******************It's more susceptible to create comical scenes: the interaction between harem members is interesting and most of the times hilarious.
******************Permit plenty of different scenarios for NSFW content and it doesn't get repetitive too fast: threesome, foursome, yuri (or god forbid ...yaoi),...
******************When well written, the changes in character which push the would be partners to accept a polyamorous relationship when they would be against it in normal times

*****Disadvantages
Most of these concern big harem with over 20 members for example. In harem with 2 to 3 partners, it's easy (easier) to write the relationship correctly.
******************The main character is seeking with all his might to become the harem king. This leads to "gotta catch them all". If it's done by forcing the partners (like a godly system where you just have to raise their affections to a certain level to change them in loyal slave) I approve it totally. If it's not done like that, then it usually becomes a Gary Stu or Mary Sue story (and I hate those).
******************The main character is stupid, idiotic, dumb, worst of all dense as fuck: If the protagonist isn't proactive in the pursuit of the harem, it is forced on him with many love interest being mad in love for him/her. After many clashes, they finally decide to stay together with him/her instead of risking losing him/her. Conclusion: Either the protagonist is too weak willed to choose like an adult or too dense to remark what's going on.
******************Most of the times, the reason why the harem members accept the idea of harem (in a setting where they shouldn't) is just plot convenience. In other words, utter bullshit.

Single pairing
It doesn't mean that the main character will only be with one person all his life. Grow up a little. He/she could (should) have many partner before deciding on one. He/she could be cheated on or he/she could cheat on his his/her partner and ut would create interesting drama (if discovered but of it's not discovered why bother do it). 
*****Advantages
******************It's mature. In a fanfic, choosing a single partner isn't easy and even less if you choose to forget all canon and or popular character to pair your main character with an original one. (The readers would flame you)
******************No need to defy an established rule to make it happen.
******************You have space and time to develop the relationship of your couple. The partner character would also be developed in-depth and he/she/it would not just be an eye-candy.

*****Disadvantages
******************Insatisfaction of many readers as they won't get their desired pairing.
******************Sex scenes quickly become monotonous and boring if not done well.
******************The romance would quickly become boring if not spiced up from time to time.

Now why I prefer a single pairing to harem. Most of the times, harem is the easy way out and is badly written. And like I said I find harem chilldishin most setting.

This is collection of ideas (mostly SI) for any aspiring writers. I just give a brief outline and free to you to use it in it's entirety or not. Just message me if you either publish a story influenced by one of these ideas as I would want to read it.

This is just, maybe even more important than finding motivation. The main reason many novels get dropped is because the author had failed to create an outline.

I don't like to ramble on and go off topic so let's get straight to the point. 

Create a world background. Is it Earth? Or is it a fantasy world? No matter what it may be, you must have a clear image of where and when this novel is taking place. This allows the reader to imagine and create their own image on their take of the novel and enjoy their experience reading so much more and, also improving your performance as a writer.  You cannot explain the world in one or two chapters. Building the world background takes time and cramming it inside the readers head is a big no. 

Include: World name, the continents name. The countries name and what's so special about this country that separates it from the others? City, is it big or small? What year is this novel taking place? 

Create the plot: When you're making your novel, don't expect everything to stay the way you thought it would. From beginning to end, you must have a clear idea about how the novel is going to begin and how it's going to end. Readers love to suggest ideas. Some are good, others are bad. Don't hesitate to take the good ideas, that's why the reader suggested it!

List down key turning points in the novel: Has the protagonist suffered an injury that causes their body to mutate or suffer in some way? Did someone important in the novel die to further the plot? For the most part, these key turning points should remain unchanged through the entire novel.

Character Sheet: Create your characters! Name, looks, personality, hobbies, all that good stuff. Make the protagonist down to earth! What makes a good protagonist is one that the reader can connect to. If their to good at what they do and never face failure, then you haven't made a good protagonist. Make sure that the protagonist's ability comes to have an equal downfall. Take Spiderman for example. Why do we love him so much? It's because he's a funny crime-fighting teenage superhero! But that isn't all, he's also a kid who has his own problems that he has to deal with every day. Keeping his identity a secret from his close friends and family, dealing with his love life without it screwing up, you know. The same thing applies to every important character in the novel. NO ONE IS PERFECT.

Important details: Make a quick list of important things in the novel such as weapons, artifacts, companies. Stuff that will directly involve the main cast or impact the world.

I really can't stress this enough. I've noticed that many authors tend to rush things from plot to character relationships. DON'T rush them! If you rush the plot then the story will fall apart, plot holes will open. If you rush relationships then the reader will not feel a connection between the two or however many people. You must understand that readers have been exposed to your novel for the first time when they read the first chapter so they don't have that same bond you have with the characters at first. Make the reader fall in love with the relationship. Building relationships can take anywhere from 50-100 chapters. Some extremely well-executed relationships can be done in 25.

Some tips I highly advise you take before you start writing :)

Zhao Xu had spent the afternoon doing a lot of research. Every account was tied to the player's iris scan, so once he logged in, the seller couldn't take the account back.
After completing his research, Zhao Xu went right back to his dorm room.
VR headsets had become mainstream over the past few years. It had replaced the laptop as a standard item for every college student to own.
On top of that, VR headsets could now engage in a few hours of activity during the user's light sleep stage, so the sales of these headsets exploded.
Zhao Xu had bought one because the headset could make use of his sleep time.
His mind was filled with nothing else but the game, so he gobbled up his takeout in a few bites and focused on all the game strategies he could find online as he started going through his own memories of the game.
At almost 8 PM, his two other gaming dormmates put on their VR headsets and lay in bed without moving.
Their last roommate was gunning for a postgrad course, so he had gone to the library to study in order to get away from the gaming atmosphere that was building up in the dorms.
The entire floor was silent as everyone got themselves ready for the game servers to go live.
Zhao Xu scrambled onto his own bed and put his VR headset on.
Over the past ten years, these types of VR headsets had advanced past relying on sight, they were actually directly projected onto the user's brain.
Zhao Xu was no stranger to TC's games. He only took a few seconds to log into TC's game platform. He found the game Arthur, then used his brain to control his actions in the game.
He keyed in the activation code he got from that seller on xFish and, after it was verified, Zhao Xu reached the game's homepage.
The servers hadn't gone live yet, so there was just a countdown timer on the page.
Those who had spent either or would have their activation codes keyed in automatically by the system at the verification page.
Once Zhao Xu's activation code was successfully verified, he breathed a small sigh of relief.
Since there was still a bit of time left, Zhao Xu opened the account menu and started reading everything of note.
After looking at it for a while, he flipped to the last page, which listed the conditions for a Testing Account.
After a few seconds, Zhao Xu couldn't help but burst into laughter.
No wonder he could still buy an account today. The catch was hiding in the fine print.
The thing about Arthur that players were most unhappy with was the fact that the punishment for reviving your character was very heavy.
Arthur's players didn't go down by a level after dying in the game.
But, each time a player died, it would deduct one Revival Stone from the player.
Once all five Revival Stones a player had were used up and no other revival skills or spells could be used, the player would be removed from the game altogether.
The player would have to use his account to recreate a character and start all over again from Level 1.
This sort of cruel punishment for dying kept most players at a low level.
There were many people who didn't even make it to Level 2 before they had used up all five Revival Stones that were tied to their account and there was no way to exchange anything for them.
The even more troublesome part was that every account had limits on the character you could create.
Each account could only create a 28 point character once, a 22 point character thrice and a 15 point character as many times as you liked.
Once the player had used up his one chance to create a 28 point character, he could only create a 22 point character three times or just create a 15 point character.
In other words, if you wanted to create another 28 point character in the game, you had to fork out another for a new account.
The Testing Accounts' rules were even crueler because you could only create one 28 point character and nothing else.
Once that character died, there was no way to create a new character with the same account, and the system would take the account back.
Zhao Xu wasn't very gifted at gaming, but he was familiar with how to avoid being caught in a situation where one might suddenly die.
No matter how dumb he was, he had an additional one year of gaming experience and nine more years of actual experience in the world of Arthur compared to everyone else right now.
After everyone transmigrated, their Revival Stones were taken back and the player just had to make sure he didn't die more than five times within a year.
The game's countdown timer was down to the last minute.
Zhao Xu felt his heart tense up.
This one year would determine if he was going to make it big or die miserably.
When the countdown timer finally hit zero, Zhao Xu's field of view was completely covered by a white flash of light.
"Dear Adventurer, welcome to the Palace of Character Creation."
The white light faded and a familiar scene appeared before Zhao Xu's eyes. He was in an incredibly magnificent palace with a long staircase in front made from countless gemstones cut and placed together. The staircase continued into the space above the palace and he couldn't see the end of the stairs.
There were sculptures and paintings of various gods around the palace, and their eyes were all currently focusing on him.
Unlike the other players, who were either overly excited or nonchalant about this part of the game, Zhao Xu quickly bowed before the sculptures of these gods to show his reverent attitude to them.
But, after he had bowed, he was slightly stunned by himself.
He wasn't in the real world of Arthur anymore.


Zhao Xu goes back 10 years in time to the day when Arthur's game servers opened. Only he knows that one year later, the earth will be destroyed and everyone on earth will transmigrate into the world of Arthur! PS: MC is a double character class of Wizard and Archivist, training in both the arcane and the divine, includes metamagic/magic guards/spells/rubies/action points/hyperactivity/pause/temporary effect/activation/in-game purchases in the making.

good day readers, before i start this book, i was wondering if you could give me a bit of lift?

i'm not really good at creating side characters, specifically thier names— well thier whole existence actually. i just can't seem to do so, possibly because there's too much on my head concerning the story that i can't come up with another character to co-exist with my fictional characters or OCs ; even with just a few tid bits about thier backstories as well as traits and facts, main characteristics ( and skill )

so the favor i'm asking you, is for you to create a character of your own that is fitting to this concept i have for the book ( mentioned on the previous chapter ; intro & disclaimer ). your character can be based to your own self or someone else— it's your choice, as well the ( unhuman ) skill they have ; being a vampire, werewolf, ghoul, a guy who has the ability to see future out of a mere touch of another, a siren, one who can manipulate one's mind, weather, water, fire or air, a girl who has inhuman strength, or they could be just someone as not-so simple sorcerer/ sorceress. they can also be someone who's a girl that also prefers girls, a guy who would rather be would be with another guy, i won't mind at all. your own character can be one of the students or the teachers of EMA.

and who knows, maybe your provided character would be more than just someone who appears from time to time.

school of freaks, that's how EMA is labelled by other schools as we're very much different from theirs; those who are born with supernatural, unhuman abilities, those who are wizards, witches and "normies" walk and study freely without having the need of keeping a secret to stay, well at least that's what most thinks of. It's what makes EMA too diveresed from other wizarding schools. Freaks we may be, but I must say for myself, we're probably the greatest freaks out there.

"I thought MINERVA is the one managing the game. I also thought that she would be the one guiding the new players." Kira said in his mind.

[MINERVA is the one who created me. She needed some help in managing the newcomers of this world. I also helps in maintaining the system]

Kira hears this as a light materializes in front of him that take a shape of a man without distinct facial feature. He was startled because he didn't know how ALPHA know what his thinking.

[I can read your thoughts through the use of the CEREBRO. Once you activated the device I can read your brain impulses to know what your thinking. I can also monitor your body to check for any problem that occurs during the game to immediately stop the game and call a help for you.]

Kira was astounded by this statement. This is his first time hearing something like this that is implemented in the game. Isn't this something illegal, it looks like it can be use to experiment on people.

[You can be rest assured that the system will not abuse this system. And all the data that are processed by the system can only be monitored by MINERVA.]

"Can you please stop reading my mind. It's a little disturbing" Kira said out loud.

[Sorry for that. I will stop reading what you're thinking. I was just fascinated by your thought process.]

Kira was astounded how the system talks, when he hears what it said. It was like a real person that has its own personality. Processing all what he learned he was reassure knowing that minerva was the only one that can monitor the server. Jacob Fall make it that way to make it a self sustaining game. He doesn't want some sudden variable to be added in the system that he make for his final game.

[Welcome to the world of TITAN, i will be your guide in creating your character. One character can only be created at a time. If you want to create another you have to delete the existing character. And doing that you will have to wait for 15 days before you can create a new character so you should carefully choose. There are 3 playable character available now, the Human race, Elven race, and Beastkin race.]

ALPHA expalin to him the details about chracter creation. This was the first time they implemented the waiting system if you ever delete your character. This will make other player to choose carefully and thinks ahead about what thier play style should be.

"I pick the beastkin." 

[The beastkin has different variant races. The variant race youan choose from depends on the system. The system will check your personality and traits that will be the base of the variant races you can choose from.]

Kira was surrounded by a light in a flash that disappear a second after. Kira didn't know that this variant races will depend on himself. He this that it's cool and convient because it gives him a touch of himself in the character that he will create.

After some time 5 different beastkin appears infront of him. Kira looks what are the variant races he could choose from.

The first he saw looks like a rabbit. He focus on it and a blue screen appears beside the character [Rabbit race]. It has long white ears and something like a ball of fur thats on its back. It was a tail. This variant race is also small, only at 4 feet tall. 

The next one he saw was a sea predator. He focus he eyes on it [Shark race]. It was a hammerhead shark. It has a rubbery like skin, that is colored dark blue with a shade of grayish white for it's torso. Its snout was flattened and hammer on it's head is slightly higher that makes it look like a horn. It also has a dorsal fin on it's back that sharks are known for and it also has pointy teeths that look menacing and some gills on the back of its ear.
 
Third he can choose from is cat. It was a [Cat race], it has black cat ears and a long black tail on its back. It also has some thin fur on it's hand and feet. It also has some whiskers on it's cheek.

The next one appears to be like a chicken. He focuses on it and see what it was. [Chicken race] he laugh to himself seeing this, it looks ridiculous. It has white feather on it's arm and some on its neck. It also have the comb that is unusually red on top of it's head partnered with a beak for its mouth.

The last variant race he can choose from is big. When he sees it, it towers over him. [Bear race] it was so huge, 6 feet in height and the body mass of it was large. It has prominent muscle protruding on it's body. It has brown fur almost around it's body, around the arms and back with a some on its torso. It also has some thin facial hair. 

Kira looks at the 5 variant races in front of him. It was has it's own differences but he notice that everyone of this characters have red eyes just like him. He want to change this because this eyes are what makes him so different from others. "Can I change the color of the eyes?"

[No, but you can change the colorozation available for what race you will choose.]

He was disapointed hearing that but he didn't mind that. He started thinking what race he should choose. It was definitely not the chicken because he didn't want to be laugh at. "I choose the shark race." Kira said.

A beam of light envelop Kira and the other beastkin infront of him vanish. When the light started to fade Kira's body change to the one that of a Shark race. He checks his body to notice the changes. He also notice that he has webbing in between his fingers. As he was check his body, he discover that he can will to hide the fin on his back as well as the webbing in his fingers.

After checking his new self up he finally notice a blue screen appear in front of him. It was asking for the name of his character. Kira wasn't good at naming so he choose the first thing that pop on his mind then type it.

[Character name "Coin" available. Character created.]

After he hears what ALPHA said Kira's body started to become particles. He was confused by what it said. What does it mean. And as Kira vanish completely he saw the light enveloping ALPHA started to fade and he saw what looks to be Jacob Fall.
