A group of friends from middle school meet again in high school. Thee only thing is, one of them has been murdered. It was by someone from the club, or someone out of it with a grudge. They come together and investigate the murder, seeing what happened and who did it.

Bai Muchuan wanted to head to Nanmu the next day.
That afternoon, after they went for a meal together, they went back to make arrangements for their trip.
Nanmu was a remote mountainous area located at the border between Xi City and Jin City. To reach Nanmu, one had to cross multiple mountains. Due to the poor condition of the soil, Nanmu had a backward economy. The mixture of several ethnic groups also attributed to the low educational level of its residents than most places. It was a place that the authorities had difficulty controlling. Hence, the crime rate was very high.
After browsing through the information, Xiang Wan finally realized what Salimu had meant by "for the purpose of making money". The Dark Clan was involved in serious offenses like smuggling, trafficking, and transporting drugs…
Dealing with such an organization seemed even more terrifying than dealing with normal homicide cases.
But what caught Xiang Wan by surprise was that Salimu was born in Nanmu.
In a place where most of its residents did not receive a proper education, it was really a miracle that Salimu was able to become a police officer and more importantly, a computer genius!
"Bai Muchuan, how did you manage to 'dig' such a guy from the huge police officer database?"
Dig?
Bai Muchuan laughed at her comment.
"That's a good word! I had to dig through approximately 23,000 records to find him. It's much harder than digging."

Twenty-three thousand records?
Xiang Wan could not help laughing at what he went through.
As she giggled, she seemed to have thought of something as her expression quickly changed.
She raised her head slowly and looked at Bai Muchuan. "Did you pick Salimu also because he's from Nanmu?"
Upon hearing that, Bai Muchuan, who was leaning against the window, got slightly surprised. He looked at Xiang Wan for a moment before he suddenly broke into a smile and tapped the ashes on the cigarette onto the ashtray.
"Yes."
Just one word—simple and clear.
Bai Muchuan's reply affirmed Xiang Wan's deductions.
She walked over slowly and leaned against him as they watched the scenery outside together. "Wily old fox, you knew about Dark Clan since long ago, right?"
"Mm." Bai Muchuan did not deny but said humbly, "I have some clues on hand."
"I don't think you've gotten just 'some' clues?" Xiang Wan tried to sound him out.
Bai Muchuan looked into her crystal clear eyes. He grinned, put his big hand on Xiang Wan's head and tousled her hair. After messing up her hair, he would slowly restore them back to their original state as though he was coaxing a child. He kissed her on the forehead.
"You think so highly of me?" He asked gently.
"Of course."
"Well, you've overestimated me."
"…"
"If this case did not happen, I wouldn't have linked them up together."
Xiang Wan paused for a second and stared at him. "You mean this is linked to those cases in Jin City?"
Bai Muchuan gazed at her and did not reply as if he was mulling over something.
"All these cases seemed to be related to me somehow…" continued Xiang Wan, "I have a feeling that Zhang Lu was like a guiding rope. It's that person, he's deliberately leading us… to come to Xi City, discover Dark Clan and Nanmu."
There was another short pause and her expression changed again.
"Could this be a trap?"
Bai Muchuan paused for a second. "What makes you think that way?"
Xiang Wan: "There's no other logical explanation behind all these events. Normally, any criminal would have avoided the police. But this person acted as though he's worried that no one would find out about him that he got Zhang Lu to frame me. It was so obvious that it looked silly. Well, he achieved his goal, our attention is now on him. He led us to Xi City, and now Nanmu…"
Hur, Bai Muchuan laughed.
"Young lady, you're smart."
Xiang Wan raised her chin and imitated his proud look. She narrowed her eyes and spoke in a serious tone:
"With the way the situation is right now, I'm a little confused as to whether he's trying to deal with me, or just wanted to pit his wits against you, or even deal with you…"
Bai Muchuan's hand that was holding the cigarette went stiff momentarily.
Although his eyes were on Xiang Wan, it was obvious that his mind had wandered off somewhere.
The hotel room suite was now quiet.
Bai Muchuan gazed at Xiang Wan for a long time. His pair of dark-colored eyes seemed like the abyss, dim and deep.
"Maybe, it's both of us."
Both of them exchanged glances. "Maybe…"

That night, Xiang Wan went through all the information of the 121 case.
The four girls, who came together to Xi City, had told their parents and friends that they were here for a tour. Yet in actual fact, they were enticed by "The Temptation of the Rich & Famous".
Although the four of them had died in the same manner, their deaths did not seem to have any relationship with the cases in Jin City.
Just like Zhang Lu, the four of them had searched the same term on "how to tie oneself up" on the internet.
Furthermore, the four of them even shared in their chat group about their own personal experiences about the self-tying technique… They also shared the reasons they did that—so they could feel even more deeply about their near-death experience, which would help in their writing.
Of course, they also did some research on writing techniques as well searching for related information with regards to "The Temptation of Rich and Famous".
Regrettably, there were no other records in their chat history that were related to the mastermind.
Xiang Wan's only finding was to finally know the truth that all five of her moderators, were all lying about the cat abuse plot back in the 720 case.
In their chat history, there was a conversation that was related to Xiang Wan.
"Did Xiang Gongzi messaged all of you privately?"
"Yes."
"I didn't reply to her."
"Actually, she's not a bad person."
"You're right, she's a moron."
"Anyone feeling guilty toward her?"
"… I don't know."
Well, it was the same for Xiang Wan. She did not know what kind of feelings she had for them.
They were once in such good terms that they would share any nice music or any good books with each other. In their chat group, they would talk about anything under the sun. From skin care, men, to gossips… they were so close to each other that they were like best friends as well as sisters.
In just a flash, they were all gone.
She would still come across nice music, good books, and men that she wanted to complain about… but they were no longer there for her to share all these with.

"The ties between people can actually be so thin."
In her latest update in "Murder The Dream Guy", Xiang Wan used this sentence to gear her story to the 121 case.
At the same time, she named her chapter with title—"The Temptation of the Rich & Famous".
Frankly, when she used that as a title, she was actually quite hesitant about it.
When she wrote it that way, she was obviously going with what that person wanted!
The intention of the mysterious ID leaving comments on different occasions was to get her to write more cases or rather, to write the cases that he had already planned for her.
The first time when he appeared, he said: "Do your best, I'll make sure that you'll be popular! Famous and celebrated! Release your inner demons completely…"

"Can't you see that I can no longer get out of it? Maybe right from the beginning since I wrote my first murder mystery novel, I can no longer get out." Rong Xiaonuan put her hand on top of Fang Yelan's hand and squeezed it tightly. "Let's find this person and apprehend him together!"

In her new chapter, Xiang Wan penned the two cases of "The Temptation of Rich and Famous", with detailed descriptions on how the girls died. Of course, she would edit areas like the names of various locations so as not to use their real names. It was also the first time that she suggested there was the presence of a "mastermind" behind all these major crimes that happened so far.
The reviews and comments page was seething with excitement when the new chapter was released.
"Oh my god! I just realized that the actual climax of the book is just starting."
"A case in a novel, a novel within a case! A case within a case! Author is amazing. I'm now a fan."
"I am Second Young Master Mu's fan. I love to read his detective mystery story. I also think well of your book. Dear Author, keep up the good work!"
A group of people was full of praises of the new update.
There were also a group of people who had their doubts.
"Could this novel jolly be based on real-life events? Didn't a few girls died in Xi City a few days ago?"
"I've seen the news too. One of the victims seemed to be a reader from this website?"
"It's not just one, all of them were readers from this website."
"Where did you get this information from? Are they reliable?"
Among these messages, there was also a message:
"The Temptation of Rich and Famous—this title seems familiar? Where have I seen this before? Is it from another book reviews and comments page? Anyone else has seen this before?"
Xiang Wan saw that comment and clicked the 'thumbs-up" button. That action would make that comment to the top so that everyone could see it.
With regards to "The Temptation of the Rich and Famous", it was still unknown to the public at that moment.
In actual fact, she shouldn't have written that in her novel. But she was adamant about it and managed to convince Bai Muchuan to give his approval by presenting this devious plan in the form of a story to all readers.
The main objective right now was to minimize the number of people falling prey and ending up becoming a part of her story, a plot in her novel…



Aspiring author Xiang Wan was deemed hopeless by her family and better off married when her fourth novel still did not do well. 
Just as she started to doubt herself and wonder if she should continue to pursue her dream as an author, things take an unexpected turn when a dazzling guy appears before her and she was taken away by the police as a prime suspect of a murder case.
A murder had taken place and the details were eerily similar to her mystery novel. 
From then on, her life turned topsy-turvy.

Translator Review:
This is a novel encompassed with mystery, ethics, family ties, and romance. Of course, the highlights of this book are the murder cases. 
Although it’s a modern setup where none of the characters have a system or any other cheats, the Author managed to delight me with her writing, creative plots and a good pace without dragging her story. 
I marvel at the way the Author links up the clues and plot to explain the individual cases as well as paving the way to unravel the huge conspiracy behind the individual murders. Romantic plots are light-hearted so readers could take a breather from the plots of gruesome murders.

Chapter One... My Dreams Are Not My Own

"I have put up with your ballet lessons and dance classes long enough, it's time to get serious and put all of this silly nonsense behind you Amelia, You're a Woodrow I will not have you disgracing our family name, so I called my friends at Oxford University and got you in. You leave in 2 weeks." This 'conversation' if you want to call it had happened 4 weeks ago and to this day was still the only thing running through my mind as I walked on the grounds around Oxford university on this ice cold "summer" day, thinking back and remembering summers in California that I had spent on the beach with friends or in my dance classes that I loved oh so much and now, here I am under my father's 'guidance' forced to study for my law degree that I don't even want.

All I've ever wanted from the time I was growing up was to be a dancer and now here I am, living the dream, note the sarcasm but I'm here anyway whether I want to be or not, sitting through lectures where all you hear are incoherent sentences that I'm sure I wouldn't understand even if he was speaking clearly. 

I've been walking around campus for the last 45 minutes, my classes for the day ended and hour ago and I don't have anything else to do since I don't have any friends here, I decided I might as well go to the library and find some more study aids since I'm stuck here. Walking to the library was cold and lonely, nobody wants to talk to the American Girl whose father just had to make a call to get her in to Oxford University, I saw students laughing with friends and some with their boyfriends or girlfriends on benches and in cafés just being with each other.

After walking for what seemed like 20 minutes I reached the rather large and unnecessarily over-sized campus library, I had been here many times in the last week because I've had nothing better to do or anywhere to go, truthfully I loved the smell of the old books in here most of the students just got their research books on kindle or something so it was fairly empty except for one guy that was here a lot too, walking up the steps to the old library I put my phone on silent, as if anyone would phone me, and walk through the large wooden doors greeting the old librarian who over the past week is the only person who cared to remember my name. "Hello, Mrs. Rogers." I whisper walking into the large hall. "Amelia how many times do I have to tell you to call me Elaine?" She says back sternly with a small smile nodding to me and once again there are only 3 people in the library so I decided to go and fetch a couple, okay 20, research books (bitch, don't judge me acting like you ain't never came to the library to get 20 books!) seeing the all too familiar face of the unnamed guy on the other end of the hall as he slightly raises his head to see who has entered the library but never enough to see his face. I must say his thick rimmed glasses and stubble intrigued me and the way he was sitting in an almost slouched position likehe was about to stand up and take me at any second almost drew me towards him. But I came here for a reason and that reason was not to get laid by a mysterious guy in a public university library.

I walked through the rows pulling out dozens of books and slowly walking back to a spot at the long table in the middle of the library, what I hadn't noticed though was the fact that I had dropped a few books that were now on the floor in-front of me out of view causing me to stumble as I tripped over one dropping all of my books and almost falling to the floor, key word here is almost, as I felt strong arms wrap around my waist pulling me back up so that my back was against his strong chest feeling his warm minty breath on the back of my neck as I struggled to control my breathing and my rapidly increasing heart beat, as my heartbeat regulated I turned round to see my hero and looked back into beautiful hazel/brown eyes that made my knees go week. "Um thank you for saving me I could have really gotten hurt, I'm Amelia by the way." I say thanking mystery guy. "That's nice, it was no big deal." He says in the sexiest voice I've ever heard in my life as he turns around and simply sits back in his seat in that same slumped over position. After another hour he got up and left still not telling me his name. "Elaine, do you perhaps know who that young man was?" I asked her seeing as he was here just as much as I was. "I'm sorry love but he just comes in here and he never says much, unless his asking for the reference book." She states with sympathy in her eyes.

Needless to say I came back to the library for the next 3 days hoping to see him but he was never there. Until one day that was actually kind of warm I went to my lecture since it was time for criminal law and I took my usual seat in the middle of the lecture hall waiting for everyone else to come inside and take their seats. I saw the shadow of those familiar glasses pass behind me and heard him take a seat while our lecturer entered. I heard a pencil going crazy behind me as the lecturer spoke words I could not understand until he asked out loud. "Mr. Hale, Can you answer the question?" He asked looking over his glasses and the mystery guy behind me. 

"Second Degree Murder: Definition Second-degree murder is ordinarily defined as: 1) an intentional killing that is not premeditated or planned, nor committed in a reasonable 'heat of passion'; or 2) a killing caused by dangerous conduct and the offender's obvious lack of concern for human life. Second-degree murder may best be viewed as the middle ground between first-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter." He said in that sexy raspy voice that makes my knees oh so weak. "Thank you Daniel you are correct again!" The lecturer stated sounding kind of disappointed. Oh how I love a smart guy! I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see mystery guy. "Yeah?" I asked confused as to why he tapped me. "By the way I'm Daniel, Daniel Isaac Hale" he said and I swear I saw a smirk on his beautiful lips.

I turn around to take down my notes as the bell rings signaling the end of the lecture. I pick up my books and look to the door to see Daniel speed walking out of it, making my way down the stairs I break into a run chasing after him and following him into the field, he walks unbelievably fast so in attempt to catch him I jump onto his back causing us to tumble to the ground . Don't act like you ain't never chased a guy and tackled him to the ground before.

"Um, I'm not saying that I don't like this but could you get off of me please because people are beginning to stare at us!" He sort of whisper/shouts at me back at me, trying to get me off of him, I roll onto my back and sit up as he shoves his hand at me to help me up, he pulls me up and I hit his chest with my face, looking up into his hazel/brown eyes. "So, why did you follow me? And chase me? And tackle me to the ground?" he asks in his thick British accent. "Wait, why did I do that?" I whisper to myself. "So are you going to answer me or just stand there staring at me awkwardly?" He asks again scratching the back of his neck. "Can I choose the latter, the view is kind of amazing!" I say laughing at my own stupidity after realizing what I just said, Daniel laughs and picks up his bag turning to walk away. "Wait, Daniel!" I shout stopping him in his tracks he turns his head and I swear I saw a smirk on those perfect lips. "Yeah?" he asked putting his hands in his pockets. "I was wondering if I could walk with you to our next class. I tend to get lost around here at times and well you've been here longer and I don't have any friends here except my roommate so I thought I would just, you know, seize the moment what do you say?" I ask as he laughs nodding his head as I run to catch up to Daniel smiling like an absolute idiot and we start our way to class.

"What's her name?" He asks out of absolutely nowhere. "Huh?" I mutter not paying attention to what he was saying. "Your room mate! What is her name?" He asks in an obvious 'duh' tone. "Oh, her name is Ingrid, very beautiful but plain girl, she is studying..." "Literary English, she wants to be a writer." He cuts me off laughing just a little bit. "Oh? And what about your roommate?" I ask stupidly thinking I am being smart. "I have no roommate love, I don't live on campus." He exclaims as we turn a corner and another and then another. Wait did he just call me love.

"That must be really nice?!" I state but more to myself as I look up at him, he is reasonably taller than me and has amazing black hair and these eyes that stare into your soul, that moment of silence was comfortable no awkwardness at all just complete and utter peace...

Until he broke it! "Here we are room 114, White collar crime law." Daniel says as he opens the door and motions for me to enter first like a true gentleman. The lecture hall was empty seeing as we were a half an hour early so we took seats next to each other right in the middle of the lecture hall and started talking.

He is 20 and an only child, studying from a criminal law degree but would much rather be studying film making. Whereas I am 19, have two older brothers, one is in the army and the other is in the navy, and I am studying for a full law degree but would much rather be studying dance. Daniel laughed at me and told me I was much too young to be studying for a full degree I nudged him and laughed at his way of stating things flat out, our conversation got cut short though when a high pitched screech came from a blonde on the other side of the room. "Danny, I haven't seen you in forever, I've missed yah so much!" she shrieked 'Erg typical blond bimbo bitch!' I think to myself but my thoughts get interrupted by Daniel putting his large hand on my leg and looking at me in an apologetic way. "Britney as you can see I am having a conversation. So? You can leave now, go." He says calmly shooing Britney away. 'Erg Britney typical blonde bimbo bitch name, how did she even get in here? She probably screwed her way in!' I thought to myself or at least that's what I thought, until Daniel started laughing and she lunged towards me luckily she was caught mid-flight. "Oh gosh did I say that out loud?" I ask Daniel who just can't seem to stop laughing. "He said walk away Brit you know what that means!" Mystery guy says pulling her away.

Class passed by in the blink of an eye and the next thing I know Daniel and I are walking to a coffee shop off of campus.

The Woodrow's were a proud and noble family. But two years after her mother's death, Amelia is forced to leave her love of dance behind to pursue her father's biggest dream for her... Law school. 

When Amelia meets bad boy Daniel Hale, a young aspiring director who is in the same predicament who sets her body of fire and tempts her to do everything her father warned her not to do, will he make her dance to his every desire or will she learn to dance on her own...

Dear Readers

Your probably wondering what happened to this story, and honestly I don't know what to say.

For the past month or so, a lot has been happening for me. In RL especially, and the net. And while I love this story to bits, I really can't bring myself to write this anymore. I started this story out with a group of good friends of mine, and we all got along very well. There characters in this story too, we all had so much coming up with ideas and discussing things. But at some point something changed, and I realized it was becoming awkward.

I still consider everybody as a good friend, but with the circumstances the way they are writing this would be impossible for me. I hope I can one day go back to this. Perhaps when I finish Princess Lyn (Book1) maybe my feelings would have settled on this story, and I'd be able to write it without being too attached. The way things are now, I just can't write it.

The person that has her back, is him. After 3 months of no contact, she concludes that he's vanished. Is the King of mist disappearance connected to the upcoming war?

After hearing Li Du's decision, Lu Guan almost burst into tears.
"Boss, reconsider properly! What would your ancestors say? Think thrice before you act! Is that how they say it? Think thrice before you act, boss, that's a haunted house!"
Li Du rolled his eyes and said, "What ancestors? Be reasonable. Confucius said that. But you're right to say that I should think thrice before I act."
Seeing that Li Du started to reconsider as he frowned and thought about it, Lu Guan heaved a sigh of relief. He said softly to Brother Wolf and the rest, "That is really a haunted house. It's too d*mn scary!"
After being in deep thought for a few seconds, Li Du raised his head and said, "Alright, I'm done thinking about it thrice. I've decided to move in with you guys and check out what exactly is going on."
Lu Guan whimpered.
Things were worse than what Snyder had said. He had only given a brief introduction to the problem. The information that Lu Guan got was more in-depth. That was because he had a connection with Rose, who had a colleague who had transferred to Bellaire. From that colleague, Lu Guan had gotten more information.
Snyder had told Li Du that three unnatural deaths had taken place in the haunted house. However, in actual fact, there had been four. Two years before the old man had passed away, his wife had been murdered.
The murder case was similar to a locked-room mystery. The police have not been able to solve the case so far. The crime spot had been in the old couple's bedroom. The husband woke up and found that his wife's head was smashed by something.
Initially, the police thought that the husband was the culprit. However, evidence was not conclusive. Besides, the husband had no reason to kill his wife. They had been together for forty years and had a good relationship.
The scariest of all was the case of the couple with four children. There were many details that Snyder did not know, as those details were not disclosed to the public.
For example, later, the wife had checked her mobile phone and found that a photo she took of her children in the basement had a shadow lurking behind the children.
The shadow looked like an old lady. According to the analysis of the silhouette and body shape, it was identical to that of the wife in the first murder case.
Another thing was, once, when the children were celebrating a birthday, the husband had used a camcorder to record the scene. Later, when he reviewed the video, he realized that someone had moved the cake on the table. Also, there had been a candle placed on the chair in one frame. When the camera returned to that frame, the candle vanished…
They had thought that all those antics had been done by the children. However, at that time, the four children were all in the video frame. It was when the frame had moved that the thing had happened.
Not only that, the husband and wife had told the police that at midnight, they would enter into a state whereby they felt that they were half-awake and half-asleep. Every time it happened, they could hear someone saying in their ears, "You move away, you are on my bed, where should I sleep?"
Hearing Lu Guan's words, Young Markelov shuddered and said, "F*ck, this is unbelievable. It can't be. This is something that only happens in the movies!"
Lu Guan raised his hand and said, "I swear, all these were recorded in the police's files. You might say that the couple's words might be fake or a product of their hallucination. But the photos and videos, that can't be faked, right?"
Young Markelov rubbed his chin and said, "Yes, something isn't right about this."
His brother kicked him and chided, "Yes, your head. There are no ghosts in the world. If there were ghosts, how come Vasily Moy and Roman Gulik never saw any? Those sons of a b*tch have harmed how many of our brothers?"
Young Markelov rubbed his chin again and said, "That's true too."
Li Du waved his hands and said, "That's enough. No need to be afraid. Let's all move in and get our ammunition ready. Bring along Ah Meow and the rest. Even if vampires or werewolves come along, we'd be able to fight them!"
The formalities of transferring the house were completed and Li Du immediately ordered his men to move into the haunted house.
He took the Markelov brothers, Firecracker, Madman, Godzilla, Lu Guan and also Ah Meow and the rest of the animals. Regardless of what the mystery was, their sensitive nature would help.
He left the rest of the men under Brother Wolf's care in the mansion, in case the Dripping Blood gang came looking for trouble.
Besides, he also engaged a team of professional security guards from a security company. Every month, it would cost him seventy to eighty thousand dollars, but that would protect his family better.

Li Du and his group had driven pass the Bel-Air entertainment club and the Bel-Air hotel. That was the center of the small district, which was up the hill. The surroundings were classy and had a good ambiance.
From that point on, the road started to wind. Driver steered the car with ease. Li Du looked out and realized that not many houses were visible on the street because their doors were hidden by dense foliage or shrubs. There was quite a high degree of privacy.
Later, as the car continued to drive up, one could see the traces of these luxury homes.
The haunted house that he had bought could be considered a luxury mansion. The quality of the house was good, the style was beautiful, and the location was very nice. If it did not have the reputation of being a haunted house, the market price could be more than five million dollars.
Along the way, Li Du said, "You know, these houses are so scattered around the land, they are almost hidden in the forests or the mountains. Even if there were no murders in them, they are like haunted houses."

Mountain wind came and caused the trees around him to rustle.
He halted his steps and listened closely.
"Got you!"
Following the unnatural air current he grasped, he leaped into the air and landed on the thick branch of a giant tree.
Following the branch, he reached the center of the tree's crown. Using what light managed to slip through the large leaves, he discovered a yellow birdling huddled inside a small nest.
The creature was sleeping sound as its chest rose and shrank.
"Stay right there…" Angor reached out a hand into the nest to catch the bird, but it sensed danger and quickly fluttered away from the nest.
Angor spent the next two minutes going after his target.
Fortunately, the forest wasn't real—it was an illusion made by Angor, which meant the bird could not leave it.
Angor held the bird in his hand. When he squeezed it a little, the animal suddenly melted and released Mystery energy into the area.
Angor enjoyed the energy for about half a minute before it dissipated, rendering the forest as an ordinary and harmless illusion.
"Twenty-seven seconds…" Angor noted down a number and sighed. He felt rather annoyed when he had to spend so much time "hunting" for the manifestation of Mystery by himself when he was the one who created that illusion.
It couldn't be helped—anything related to Mystery tended to be slippery.
Angor only managed to blend the "sense" of Mystery into his illusion. He did not create Mystery beings for real. Even so, the presences he created were already reflecting the properties of Mystery.
Each time he made a new illusion, it was like opening a Pandora's Box, for he never knew which form the Mystery sense would use.
Even if he was the controller of his illusions, the manifestation created by the sense of Mystery was unpredictable.
This might change once he fully comprehended Mystery and became a Mystery Alchemist for real, by which time even such unknown wisdom would be easy for him to master.
A week quickly elapsed.
Angor almost tested through a hundred different illusions, during which the "manifestations" also showed up in his view as different beings, such as animals, humans, and random objects including stones, boxes, books, houses, or even pure elements.
Most of the manifestations were relatively easy to find, but there were also cases in which he failed to find his target from start to end.
He knew he successfully brought the manifestation into existence because he could feel it, but he just could not locate it.
Whenever this happened, he would simply cancel the illusion and began another session.
As he did more tests, he slowly learned how certain elements would affect the "duration" of the Mystery energy, that a more complicated and perfect illusion that possessed intact logics tended to allow him to enjoy Mystery energy for a longer period of time after he discovered the manifestation.
And it was even better when he mixed nightmare energy in it.
The longest "Mystery energy flood" he experienced till now lasted one minute. It was like an all-inclusive intelligence repository that always led Angor toward something he could learn from. However, he had no idea whether he could put such random and precocious enlightenment to use.
Rather than learning new knowledge, he felt as if he had been blindly reading books that he could not understand and hoping to take advantage of the knowledge one day.
Currently, he would like to make the "energy flood" last longer. The longer he could spend inside the Mystery energy, the better he could benefit from it. For now, one minute was the best he could do.
If he could successfully make an "everlasting Mystery energy flood" happen one day… perhaps it could then be considered as a real Mystery treasure.

He was almost done testing the Mystery sense in his illusions. The next step was to see whether he could do something similar to his alchemy items.
He took out a block of Balm Wood from his space bracelet. This was a common, non-tiered material famous for its decent sturdiness and magic conductivity.
With several masterly moves, he quickly carved a miniature garden out of the wood—he was very proficient when doing such simple crafting work now.
While doing his work, he also left two illusion nodes in the item, which supported a basic illusion mixed with the sense of Mystery.
As the simply-made decoration did not have an energy source or any noticeable feature, Angor had to provide his own mana to activate the illusion. 
When he did, the illusion on the tiny item suddenly spread wider until it turned the entire testing ground into an aromatic flower field full of drifting petals.
Angor looked around the beautiful illusion but without finding anything other than colorful flowers. Again, he sensed the Mystery presence hiding somewhere, yet he just could not grasp its location.
He thought about giving up and try something else. 
Wait. Flowers, their smell… is this a camouflage?
When thinking about this, he removed the element of "smell" from his illusion and kept walking.
He suddenly took a whiff as something reached his nose.
The smell of flowers earlier belonged to the illusion. It was a fake scent that did not exist for real. After he removed all the smells, anything that tempted his nose had to be the "foreign being", and in this case, the manifestation of Mystery.
But what caused the smell? The flowers or the wind?
After careful searching, he put his attention on an inconspicuous white bud.
When he poked it, the bud slowly spread open and began to release Mystery energy into the garden.
The flood lasted for 15 seconds before it ended.
At the same time, the illusion disappeared.
This told Angor that he could combine "Mystery illusions" with alchemy items, albeit not very efficiently.
The garden was only a very basic illusion that was supposed to sustain the energy flood for less than 10 seconds. Since the outcome turned out better than his estimation, he believed that it might be something to do with his material choice.
Time for more experiments.
He spent the next few days testing through over fifty different alchemy materials—commonly-seen, non-tiered ones.
He reached a conclusion that anything that amplified mana could increase the duration of energy floods, especially materials that radiated mana flows, which usually doubled his estimated result.
Following this clue, he chose several suitable materials to prepare for his work later.
During the tests, he filled his turf with a lot of curious trinkets that he created, such as miniature sculptures and decorative gadgets. These poorly-made creations might earn him several dozens of crystals if he put them to sale. However, he was no longer the impoverished apprentice who would care for such minor gains now. After discarding them to a junk pile at the corner of the testing field, he entered the laboratory.
Time for putting theories into practice.

His room was really a mess and was filled with scattered pages and manuscripts.

Anyone would find it hard to sit here but Nagamo-san rather liked it.

Any book lover would find it pleasing to see an author's workplace.

Nagamo-san who had seen many previous rooms like this can tell that Rei's room was like those veteran authors.

He was finding it hard to control his curiosity to read the manuscripts in the room.

It was a manuscript written by someone who had wrote a novel like «Genius», although he didn't knew if it will be the same quality as «Genius» but he really wanted to read it.

It was his habit, he can't contain his curiosity whenever he saw a manuscript.

Although he had read thousands of books till now, it only made his hunger for books increase.

Although he wanted to read the manuscript, it would be rude to do that.

Nagamo-san controlled himself for some time but he don't know why but he was attracted by a manuscript.

It had a peculiar feature that was attracting him to read it and his instincts as a editor were telling him that he will regret it if he didn't read it now.

He subconsciously moved his hands towards the manuscript and grabbed it.

He slowly read the title and the title had already attracted him.

«Your name»

He slowly started reading the manuscript and the more he read, the more he found himself entranced in it.

Rei opened the door of his room with one hand while carrying tea and snacks in his other.

What he saw inside his room surprised him, Nagamo-san was reading a manuscript and it was non other than the manuscript of «Your name».

He was shocked to see Nagamo-san reading that manuscript and realised that he had forgotten to hide those manuscripts, he had written to practice his writing.

He quickly put the tea and snacks away and snatched the manuscript from his hand.

Nagamo-san was greatly startled when he realised that the manuscript he was reading had been snatched away.

He didn't even realised that Rei had entered the room until the manuscript was snatched from his hand, he was that much entranced in the novel.

He was also not embarrassed that he was caught reading a manuscript without the author's permission, he wanted to read the novel first.

"Re…..Rei, please let me finish that part..first"

Rei had already told Nagamo-san to speak to him casually, that's why he was talking casually with Rei but that wasn't the issue here.

"Nagamo-san, why are you reading this….without my permission"

"I am extremely sorry for that, I will even bow down if you want but please let me read your novel"

"No…I, I can't let you read it any further"

"Wh, why….please let me read it" Nagamo-san said desperately.

Rei didn't knew what to do at that time.

'What do I do? I can't let Nagamo-san read this book further'

The reason Rei didn't wanted Nagamo-san to read this book because he knew that he will request him to publish it after reading it.

But if Rei really published it, then it will be plagiarism. Although Rei will not be suspected of plagiarism as in this world, there is no Makoto shinkai to write this book.

But it will hurt his conscience as a writer. Rei had once thought of continuing his writing career with famous books of earth but he had eliminated that idea as it will hurt his conscience.

He too was a writer, although he was a failed writer, he will also be extremely angry if someone got fame with his work.

For a writer, his work was his own pride. If Rei really published the book as his own work, then he will be the same as a ghost writer.

So, what can he do now? Looking at Nagamo-san, Rei knew he will not give up until he get to read this book.

Nagamo-san pestered Rei for several minutes and Rei had to finally let him read it.

When Rei finally gave him the manuscript to Nagamo-san, he literally had tears in his eyes.

'Looks like he really was curious about the novel'

In his past life, when he had read that novel, he also was very curious about the ending. 

His favourite scene was when Taki and Mitsuha have met on the top of the mountain. It was really a well written and dramatic scene.

Nagamo-san enthusiasm with the novel was only normal, it was a great novel which have sold over a million copies in Japan.

Although many people liked the anime film more than the novel, it was only because many people have seen the anime film first and later read the novel.

From a book lover perspective, it was a beautiful novel that will tell you about love, drama, mystery and how all fates are intertwined with each other.

Even it's animation had swept Japan and many countries in its frenzy.

It had created a huge boom across the world and was one of the most famous anime till his death.

He still remembered crying when he had saw the last scene of the film. He was also somewhat frustrated as he wanted to know the story after the ending.

That's kind of novel was it. It was a great ride that no one will regret sitting on.

Only seeing how Nagamo-san was concentrated on the novel and his change of expressions with every turning page, Rei can tell that he was really enjoying this novel.

Time went on and on but Nagamo-san was still fixed on reading the novel.

«Your name» was a novel with a total of 262 pages and Nagamo-san was only on the 150th page. If he really keep reading it, then it will be really late.

That's why Rei had to again snatch the manuscript from Nagamo-san and told him about the time.

He was reluctant and wanted to read more but before he can argue, the sound of door opening was heard.
